One of the worst hostels I have been to. Pictures make it seem like the rooftop was the selling point. Given that there is a lot of neighbors who complain about the noises it was mostly closed during my stay. Cherry on top was that another guest attempted to steal my cross body bag and I had to switch to another nest hostel. This hostel left a sour taste and don’t think there will be a second time coming back here
The hostel felt incredibly tight and crammed when all beds are filled. The rooms offer little-to-no space for personal items besides a fairly small locker, so there was luggage and clothes all over the place in my room. Plus, without a window and with only a single lightbulb (which was inside one of the bunks), the room felt musty, stagnant, and incredibly dark. It didn’t help that every person in my room snored, so my experience was particularly unpleasant to no fault of the hostel.
It was absolutely terrible and should be closed down.
Quite budget and simple facilities. Nice rooftop and near beach. But noicy beds, bad ventilation and poor showers.
There were supposed to be events but it never happened. Bad as an introverted person to get to know some people. You just have to search on your own for people. Kitchen is really small and I hated to cook in there. Very few toilets which aren’t enough. There was always a guy (maybe staff) with dreadlocks whos butt was always sticking out and made people feel uncomfortable. 3-floor bunk beds =horrible and the rooms are way too small for that much people. Go to casa grande surf
The French staff was extremely rude. He came into the room several hours before checkout being loud. He didn’t identify himself but he claimed to be “going to bed” confusing everyone he is guest. He woke up everyone as he proceeded to make some beds, the guests of which hadn’t even checked out but were out for breakfast, so he just removed their belongings from their beds. On my return from the bathroom, I found the room door (ground floor) wide open and him nowhere to be found - safety ...
it's an ok hostel, nothing special. people working there are very friendly. But they have bunk beds of 3, to squeeze in maximum people and you can't even sit in your bed as there is no space, same for the kitchen and bathroom, you can't even turn around inside of them. But the terrace is nice.
The hostel was noisy, with lots of noise from the street. Also I was in a 15 person dorm, which inevitably had a lot of noise from so many people - and it was still expensive to stay there despite so many people in one . People were frustrated with each other because of this so the place didn't have the best atmosphere. There were lockers but you needed to bring your own locks; they didn't sell any.
I asked for a low bed, which was free. She said no because the system had put me upstairs. I ask her to change me because I was the first to check in and there are free beds. She changes her face and says no "because the system is making a mess". Translation: little desire to help and work. A very simple procedure, which is done in any hostel, and here this receptionist comes with patrañas.
Very weird people 'living' in the hostel. Quite some old people that are volunteering or working here and don't do much else then sitting around all day in the hostel and watch their phones and drink beer. Also with one of them I had a bad encountering as he was flirting with me what was not appreciated by me. There are opportunities for this hostel to be quite a good one but there's lack of passion I guess to make it nice.

I enjoyed my stay at Ashavana hostel and it was really close to beach, nice restaurants, bus stop and shops. Has a nice terrace and well equiped kitchen. Can recommend it and would come back myself.
Was a good base for our trip to Tenerife. Atmosphere was chilled, not super social, but nice vibe. Maybe slightly pricy for how busy the rooms are, but doesnt get much cheaper than this in Tenerife. I would definitely come back
great location great company as i have stayed with nest many times. unfortunately this property is lacking proper kitchen area , super small and crowded . this place could be the best hostel with a bit more love and investment to develop proper kitchen and sleeping areas. the beds are notoriously shaky and the 3 beds shakes together when someone turns , also forget to sit up as you will hot your head unless you are on the top . whoever designed this place he probably was joking .
This place was a big disappointment, our room was a small dark hole with way too many beds, one tiny window facing the inner patio, so zero ventillation and zero natural light coming in. The beds are very noisy (but at least they don’t move, that’s good). The showers don’t have a proper door or a lock. What bothered us the most were the volunteers - they practically took over the place, ignoring the guests, shouting, running around and not being helpful at all. For this price this is ridic...
Much better then Medano Nest: I has a roof top, so it is not es „full“. They were very strict about being quite after 11pm, which I liked: slept well.
Établissement propre, une terrasse, proche de l’aéroport Sud, un verre de bienvenue est offert. Je recommande.
Clean establishment, a terrace, close to the airport south, a welcome drink is offered.

Another great stay at Ashavana. Many thanks!
Front of houae stqff. Vry friendly and welcolmimg. Clean
nice hostel, a little bit hippie people
For very short stays, good but unfortunately very full and unsociable. less consideration is given to each other among the guests in terms of noise and light. the air circulation in the bedroom is miserable, for 9 people doors and windows to the inner courtyard should remain open at night. the rest period should be enforced more consistently.

Best place to meet fun and flexible people.
most kind & welcoming personal & guests 10/10 😃
Mainly older men. Staff was kind. Very chaotic, living on top of each other. Shared male and female showers. Kitchen was small. Atmosphere was friendly and kind. Recommend if you want good location with humble accomadstions. Be wary if you are a young girl travelling alone.
Lovely staff!! Super friendly, helpful & kind. They really are going with the flow of the El Medano essence, “flowing with the nature” that the Fishermen village has to offer to its visitors. One recommendation though, please change the matress of bed number 2 on the room of 15 pax as it was awful sleeping on it, it deeps down into a hole in the middle due to the weight, ia not that heavy so its basically very old and needs to be replaced.

The property is well located and the staff is amazing. The crowd at the hostel is also quite nice. A few issues: Facilities are not separated by gender so a man can walk in on a woman showering. There are only three toilets shared between everyone living in the hostel. Finally, the place is infested with roaches. A few here and there are expected in that climate, but I counted at least 20 in my room at night and the same issue in the next room they moved me to.
I had a great time at the hostel! the volunteers there were all super sweet. the furnishings are really nice, there is a large roof terrace, a kitchen and plenty of showers and toilets. unfortunately the three-storey metal highbeds have been made with every movement - deswegen Ohrenstöpsel nicht vergessen:)
