Mad Monkey Kuta Lombok

We had to ask for a room change because there were bed bugs. The water from the shower and the sink smelled really bad, like sewage. The music was very loud every day until midnight. The staff was very friendly. The WiFi didn’t work in the room. Quite expensive for what it is. I wouldn’t stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Wasn’t a great hostel, my first night I had bed bugs in my bed & wasn’t offered anything for my laundry to be done, I was moved beds but the bed wasn’t properly cleaned after me. I had to tell other people who checked in to not sleep in that bed. The showers didn’t work properly either, they dribbled out.

Really loud music on speakers right in front of the rooms till 11pm, the rooms are really old and the doors are so loud as both front door and bathroom doors are old sliding doors. The lockers don’t open and close properly. I had booked 3 nights and they weren’t flexible at all on refunding the last two nights after check in (which is when you see how bad the facilities are). Also we had heard about bedbugs and asked when checking in, and they said there were none. Then my friend got bedbugs.

I can't give 0 stars! The staff is rude! We found bedbugs in the sheet! They refuse to refund us! The hotel is noisy! The towels are not clean! Don't come here!

Thank you to the amazing reception staff for organising a last minute taxi to pick us up from the port when we couldn’t get a grab. Definitely the best thing about this hostel. Other than that unfortunately the rooms were very small and cramp, with bed bugs and mouldy pillows. Bathrooms are also not good and very dirty, crawling with ants. Isnt a very social hostel, everyone we have met who has been here agreed it was hard to meet people. Pool is bad and the evening activities are so expensive
