paying $300 for week. the took my things out of my room for a deep cleaning because of BED BUGS in the room. they mixed all the stuff of the guests and i lost some belongings. bad experience in this place 👎🏽

I personally didn't enjoy my stay here! While it had a really nice social atmosphere and pretty good location, the place was very unclean. The first bed I was given had bed bugs and the staff didn't seem surprised by this and didn't ask which bed so probably just checked the next person into that room without solving the issue. There were also cockroaches in a lot of the dorm rooms, especially in the lockers! The bathrooms also weren't very clean and got the impressed cleaning wasn't a priority.

The MOST DISGUSTING PLACE we’ve ever been. Told them we have !bed bugs! and they laughed it off/tried to play it off. If you don’t mind living in an dirty environment then go for it. Kitchen also hella disgusting and dirty. We’ve booked because it was the cheapest place to be. Even if someone would offer me to live there for free, I never would go there EVER!

Arts Factory by Nomads is de rommelige weird-zone van Byron Bay: sociaal, hippie-achtig, festival-adjacent en veel beter om vrienden te maken dan om te doen alsof de plattegrond normaal is. De gezamenlijke energie is het punt: chille hangouts, buitenruimte, muziek, de bar of club ernaast, zwembad, volleybal, hangmatten, banken, eettafels en genoeg long-stay zwaartekracht om het als een eigen klein dorp te laten voelen. Het werkt het best voor reizigers die de Byron-scene in volle kleur willen: luid, los, creatief, rokerig aan de randjes en makkelijk om in gesprekken te vallen. Personeel en layout kunnen aankomsten vriendelijk laten voelen, en de vreemde mix van tenten, cubes, dorms, tuinen en hangouthoeken geeft de plek een heel eigen persoonlijkheid. De trade-off is niet subtiel. Schoonmaak en onderhoud zijn de belasting, vooral rond keuken, badkamers, hete kamers, insecten, kapotte lockers of stopcontacten en geluid van muziek of late sociale ruimtes. Boek het voor de sociale chaos, niet voor gepolijste faciliteiten of gegarandeerde slaap.

- Keukenschoonmaak kan slecht zijn, met geuren, insecten, beperkt bruikbare spullen en vieze koelkasten.
- Kamers en gedeelde ruimtes kunnen heet, vies of slecht onderhouden zijn.
- Muziek, bargeluid en late sociale ruimtes kunnen slapen moeilijk maken.
- Rook of wietlucht kan moeilijk te vermijden zijn, ook in zones die als niet-roken zijn gemarkeerd.
