La Charm Hoi An Hotel & Spa

+ Wasn’t able to get to the hotel so was nothing I liked as they wouldn’t refund me my money when they had a flood in the hotel and we wasn’t able to get to the destination where they had given us to get a boat in.

- The hotel wouldn’t refund me the money when we didn’t use the hotel and would only hold our booking for 6 months, really bad customer service and said to us that it’s fine for us to come even if it was flooded as you can see that the army had to help to evacuate people as well as people dying from the flood. Wasted more money on extra taxi fare along with ticket change of flights, they didnt even have the decency to tell us about the flood as all along they have no intentions to give our money back. Hotel looks great but don’t expect anything if it goes wrong so be mindful before you book.

+ The pool and entire hotel in general is beautiful. It felt very luxurious compared to other places we stayed, the breakfast was fantastic and it was a close enough walk to tailors in old town and the lake.

- The sound proofing is terrible. We had a balcony with river view which wasn’t too bad hearing outside noise, but a baby in the next room kept us up. The hotel were nice enough to move us on our last night and helpful, but we got moved to a balcony with street view and I wish we stayed next to the baby crying. The noise on the street kept us up all night, the sound was like we had a window open but everything was shut. So either way, bad sound proofing from room to room, and from street to room.

- Club room should not be an option. There were no cocktails in the lounge at 5.30 as advertised. Afternoon tea was some cakes left out in a room with flies round them.

- Staff was ok. On the balcony was not even 1 chair, which i would expect from a 5 Star Hotel.

+ Spacious, clean, friendly staff, spa treatments excellent, good selection of food for breakfast.

- Very noisy. The walls and ceilings thin so noise from neighbouring rooms can be easily heard. Also hear traffic outside. The quiet period was from 12am-4am.

- The door to the pool is dangerous and always has been my wife had a bad accident with it and left very bad bruising on her hand Service generally poor

- We've booked the deluxe suite with river view. The room is nice, but as it's placed right above an road intersection , we had 4 sleepless nights. Windows soundproofing is inexistant and we've been not able to sleep because of the constant honking noises of the street. Plus we've been bothered until midnight by the rooftop bar noises above our room... No need to say that for a five stars hotel, we would expected to rest properly and not having our kids up at 6am. Protections under the rooftop bar chairs , and new soundproofed windows in the Suite room should be a minimum in my opinion for a "five" stars hotel.

+ The location is great, a short stroll away from the busy area. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good, the pho station in particular. The rooftop bar is really nice, although a couple of decorations could be more tasteful in line with the rest of the space.

- The toilet in our room took way too long to refill after flushing. We reported it and we were told to was normal, it is not and for a 5* hotel to have to ration your toilet flush is not okay. The lock on the toilet door at the rooftop pool was also broken.

+ This is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in Vietnam! It’s perfect location, the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable.

- The toilet seat was broken and didn’t get fixed. It was also a little noisy. The bed head was loose.

+ Lovely hotel in a great location, within walking distance to the old town. Room was spacious and clean with an excellent view of the river. We loved spending time relaxing on the rooftop pool. Breakfast was very good.

- We would not recommend the Executive lounge. One of the worst we have ever encountered. We stayed over a week and on a couple of the days, the room was not cleaned until after 3pm. Beware advertise free shuttle to airport but last one at 1pm! At other hotels they went out of their way to ensure the transfers occurred. Compared to other hotels they just miss the mark to be excellent.

+ Everything. The location, the breakfast, all the hotel services. The infinity pool is amazing. Another pool is also very beautiful. The staff at the reception and in general at the hotel are very kind and helpful.

- We loved everything.

+ Hotellet har veldig fin beliggenhet, rett utenfor gamlebyen. Det gjør stedet rolig og avslappet, men kort vei til alt av det Hoi An kan tilby. Meget god frokost, som kan nytes både innen- eller utendørs. Hyggelig og serviceinnstilt betjening. Privat strand med shuttle mulighet.

- Det var en fuktig/innestengt lukt på de to rommene vi hadde, som gjør at du må lufte hele tiden. Men vi hadde flott balkong, så ikke noe stort problem.
