Staff was very unpleased that after they told us they don’t have lockers but they have a room where EVERYONE can store their stuff with “cameras” that they prolly wouldn’t even look at if something happens or we can store it in their back office if we have valuables so of course we did store it in the back room. The four times we asked to get our stuff they looked very annoyed. Pro tip maybe get lockers, there is plenty of space in the room, more than enough for 8 lockers. The beds were good and surprisingly didn’t get bed bugs after seeing reviews from a week before that people had been bitten by bed bugs. Bad location as the rooms are as humid as being in a sauna, open the window and its trains and cars and ambulances honking all night. Surprisingly they’re not shut down after having all the bed bugs complaints, not the expert here but i’m leaning towards mold in the shower due to the texture in the ceiling, an absurd amount of it. Would recommend one night at most.

ACHTUNG! Bettwanzen. Dem Hotel ist dies leider auch egal. Die Mitarbeiter vor Ort dürfen nicht entscheiden, ob ein Zimmerwechsel aufgrund der sichtbaren Bettwanzen und Blutspuren in der Bettwäsche möglich ist. So muss man dann wohl oder übel im zugewiesenen Zimmer nächtigen, um am nächsten Morgen mit zerbissenem Nacken und Handrücken aufzuwachen.

Pretty sure I got bed bugs from the place. Also my bed was practically attached to someone else's so no personal space at all. Felt like we were sleeping on the same bed.

I thought it was a hotel, but it is more like low budget hostel. I paid about 91 dollars for a room for 1 night, There was bed bugs in the room, no fridge, no AC, no kettle, No parking, they charge 15 euros to let you park on sand behind building, was fully booked( it takes about 7 cars only). Terrible experience, not recommend at all.

❌ Une expérience catastrophique – hôtel infesté de punaises de lit ! ❌ Nous avons passé un séjour dramatique dans cet hôtel : toute ma famille a été couverte de piqûres de punaises de lit dès la première nuit. C’est absolument honteux qu’un établissement laisse des chambres dans un tel état ! Personnellement, j’ai eu l’œil gonflé et rouge à cause des piqûres, au point de devoir mettre de la crème et surveiller une possible infection. C’est un cauchemar de vivre ça pendant des vacances censées être reposantes. Aucune hygiène, aucun suivi, aucun respect pour les clients. Nous avons payé pour souffrir et repartir avec des démangeaisons et le risque de ramener ces parasites chez nous.

Didn't expect much and was pleasantly surprised by how much space was in the rooms. The bathroom attached to the room was also quite nice with free shower gel and the kitchen had a stove which you can cook with. However, after the first night I ended up waking up with bedbug bites and when using the kitchen realized it was actually full of flies. Ended up leaving 2 nights early as the experience just ended up being unpleasant. Alright for 1 night but wouldn't recommend for longer stays.

Würde gerne 0 Sterne geben. Wurde in der Nacht von Bettwanzen gebissen und wollte augenblicklich meine weitere Nacht stornieren. Das war leider nicht möglich und der Herr an der Rezeption schien auch nicht wirklich überrascht. Dieser Vorfall und absolut inakzeptabel und hat mir meine Reise komplett versaut.

Keine Klima, Fenster gehen nicht zu öffnen.gerade mal ein Fenster geht zu kippen das andere geht gar nicht auf. Zimmer dreckig, Haare auf dem Bett und tote Bettwanzen, alles verdreckt, die 4 er Zimmer unmenschliche Vogelsteigen in denen es bei sommerlichem Wetter 45 Grad hat ohne durchlüften zu können. Lärm, die ganze Nacht von der Straße und den anliegenden Zimmern. Schüler konnten die ganze Nacht kein Auge zumachen. Keiner fühlt sich verantwortlich, an der Rezeption besteht man kaum Deutsch. Ein Horror

BED BUGS!!! When you book a room, no matter at what price, you expect your health and safety to be taken care of. Woke up itching in the night, to find several bites on my face and body later the next day. Now I have to deal with the worry of taking bed bugs home. The room is beyond basic. Dust under the bed and ledges in the bathroom.Luggage storage room is never locked, with food scraps all around. Felt like I was staying in a homeless shelter! DO NOT STAY HERE.

After I reported a bedbug infestation wich left big wounds on my arms , legs and back and had to attend a doctor after being attacked they did nothing , not even an excuse, no sorry , no compensation or compromise, nothing! I had to work the following week in Graz and had serious problems with my wounds on my arms from the bedbug bites ! I got special disinfective Cream from the local Pharnacy ( Apotheke) I was so flabbergasted by the threatment at the A&O Hostel by a big intimidating Guy from Nigeria working at the desk that I decided to report the incident to the local authorities ( gesundheids amt Graz) I stayed many times in the A&O hostel in the past such as Berlin, Amsterdam and across Europe without any incident ect. The next weak after work ( my work pays only one Hotel night 4* upon arrival) I attend the A&O hostel in Graz at the Hauptbahnhof again! Same Big Nigerian Guy working there and I was totaly stunned!!!! This time the Guy told me the hostel was full ??? But after checking the website and calling the headoffice I found out this was a lie ! I was refused without any reason ! Ect On the website I could book a 4 bed dorm for just 12,80 euro’s ! I showed the Guy my phone and told him that I could book online Without any problem ! Now the Guy changed His plan and told me a 52 year old Father of 3 that I was on the blacklist and he could not see why ???? The Guy didn’t even check my name ???? So he was lying again !! He just recognized me from the bed bug incident the previous week! His colleagues checken me in without any problem the week before when he also told me the hostel was full ! I told him that I was going to file a report and call the police! He didnt care ! I never misbehaved myself or did anything wrong at this A&O Hostel in Graz ! I only reported a hazardous situation because of bedbugs and public health issues and after my arms back Neck and legs looked like a warzone full of kraters and wounds and this is how I get threated? No way! I wil take legal action against this hostel in Graz and file a complaint against this type of Harrasment by employees as a customer! This Guy is unbelievable and needs to be removed from his hospitality job ! With a doktorsreport and If need be a policereport the Gesundheidsamt Graz and a lawer! To be continued Very very bad I will file a report Monday and I have all the proof !

Positiv: Frühstück in gewohnter a&o Qualität mit freundlichem Service. Zentrale Lage. Negativ: Zimmer sehr klein und eng. Wir hatten Bettwanzen im Bett (Zimmerwechsel war nach der 1. Nacht aber möglich). Personal an der Rezeption spricht ausschließlich Englisch, kein Deutsch (für manche ältere Gäste war das eine Herausforderung). Trotz korrekter Beschriftung wurden uns Lebensmittel aus dem Kühlschrank geklaut.

Il avait des punaises de lit dans notre chambre, la propreté est à revoir ainsi que le confort .

Rude staff. Room dirty, bathroom and shower had not been cleaned. There was no hand soap or toilet roll in the bathroom. When I asked if I could use the reception toilets that had been open the previous evening I was told no for apparent reason even when I told them there was no toilet roll or soap in my bathroom. The people in the room I was staying smoked out the window and watched a movie without headphones on late into the night. The hostel also charges €5 for bedding which is not made clear in the booking and allows people to bring in their own bedding. This is incredibly unhygienic and increases the risk of bed bugs dramatically. Had I known this was their policy I would have avoided the place completely. Stay somewhere else!
