Fabulous! Very clean (I double checked for bed bugs per other a few earlier reviews and my room was fine and tidy and comfy) great atmosphere, spotty hot water for showers, nice to walk to Semuc, the volunteer Kesha does the absolute most and should get a raise lol

LOVED Greengo’s. It was comfortable and clean, and the staff/volunteers were kind and made a fun environment. The location is great for Semuc Champey, and the hostel itself feels luxurious. The bar/restaurant are affordable with big portions. A few warnings, though: it’s a party hostel, so it is loud until 11:30 pm. One guy’s bed had bed bugs while I was there (though mine did not). And the hot water is rare. Also, bring cash!! It is a secluded area, so there are no ATMs.

Greengos is a is a great hostal, in the remote jungles of Semuc Champey. The set up and food was well executed. Close walking distance to the aqua green pools. I would recommend staying here rather than in Lanquin which is about 21km away. However, I stayed for three nights. And for three nights I was bit by bed bugs. LET ME BE CLEAR, I have stayed in many hostels and been bitten before. However, the bullies customer complaints and will adamantly dispute this rather than address the issue. Spray

Was gutted about this hostel as I had seen and heard great things but the room I was in had about 10 beds and 1 is about 3 stories high. Very dangerous and also caught bed bugs from this place.

The staff here were fantastic and the tour to see the pools was incredible. I think we were there in low season so it was a bit quieter than we had hoped. The electricity goes off at 12 in the night and the room was super hot when that happened which wasn't great. Also there were LOTS of bugs in the beds which really freaked me out. The bathrooms are also not great. I personally wouldn't stay here again just purely because of the bug situation. pool, the staff, the food and the tour was great.
