Hostel Strowis

The hostel is in a good central location and staff are very helpful. We spent two nights at the hostel in a double room, and suffered from being bitten extensively by bed bugs.

Stuff was really nice, garden (smoking area) really nice. Biggest problem are bed bugs I had several stings on my body near my eyes on my hands etc, huge wounds that happend day I left. Hostel rooms are dirty and mattresses are old, we booked a mixed dorm for 14 people. Middle beds that we were in no night light and charger ports are not close enough. Really disappointed

Mon amie et moi avant séjourné dans un dortoir de 14 lits : nous étions les seules femmes, les lits sont des vieux lits superposés qui grincent toute la nuit, aucune intimité, pas de prises personnelles mais quelques prises partagées, aucun casier dans la chambre, et la porte du dortoir ne fermait pas. Pire, mon amie s’est faite dévoré par des insectes pendant la nuit, sûrement des punaises de lit vu les piqûres. Très cher pour ce niveau de confort…

Pedimos habitación privada para dos personas, solo estuvimos una noche, el señor que nos recibió fue muy amable, las habitaciones son básicas y viejas pero funcionales, aunque el baño era compartido entre todo el piso. Me picaron chinches en la noche :( desperté en la madrugada con picazón.

I got bedbugs from them. I stayed in room 1. The sign said they were sold out but strangely the bed below me wasn't taken and I learned the next morning it must have been because of bedbugs which I spotted one as I was packing up. I told them about it and all they did was apologize. Sadly they must have been on my bed too and now they were my problem and Hostel Strowis only offered another apology. Besides that, the showers had motion sensor lights that turned off about 10x in the 5 min shower I had. There are also a lot of long term guests which changes the vibe of the hostel. The staff at check in were nice and offered me a tea while I waited. It wasn't enough to compensate for everything else so I don't recommend this hostel.

Lage ist top. Man ist direkt im Zentrum. Mitarbeitende sind auch sehr freundlich, aber das größte Problem an unserem Aufenthalt waren die Bettwanzen in einem unserer Einzelbetten. Schlafen war somit nicht mehr möglich. Einen Rabatt oder Ähnliches gab es auch nicht.

Purtroppo quello che c'è scritto nelle recensioni lascia il tempo che trova, il locale non sarebbe malaccio, il problema è che molte stanze sono INFESTATE da CIMICI DA LETTO. Io ho dovuto cambiare più volte stanza e ho sempre avuto lo stesso problema. Inoltre, i miei vestiti sono stati lavati 2 volte male dallo staff, ottenendo come risultato vestiti rovinati e stropicciati. C'è un SOLO FRIGO per l'ostello a meno che non si sia in una grande comitiva. Nel locale del frigo molto spesso c'è un odore non gradevole... inoltre la cucina è molto sporca e fa odore di stantio. Un membro dello staff è molto maleducato e ha avuto pure il coraggio di dire che la colpa per l'infestazione da cimici da letto non è loro. ASSOLUTAMENTE NON CONSIGLIATO.

🇮🇹(IT) Sono stata allo strowis per tre settimane per un progetto con altri 11 amici e posso assicurvi che l’ambiente è confortevole, la pulizia è ottima, lo staff è gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. Ma c’e una cosa che non posso non dire: ci sono le cimici da letto e la cosa fa molto schifo. Un mio comapagno ha avuto morsi in tutto il corpo e ha dovuto prendere tre dosi di cortisone al giorno. Detto questo il mio voto prima di scoprire delle cimici sarebbe stato 9 ma adesso siamo scesi a 6.5. 🇬🇧(EN) I have been in the strowis hostel for 3 weeks for a project with 11 classmates and I can guarantee that the hostel is very confortable, it is very cleaned and the staff is very kind and always available. I’m so sorry for that, but I cannot keep that secret, there are a lot of bad bugs. One of my friends has been bit everywhere in the body and he had to take 3 doses of cortisone a day. Before knowing of the bad bugs my mark would have been 9/10, but unfortunately now it went down to 6,5/10. 🇪🇸 (ES) Estuve en ese hostal para tres semanas con 11 amigos para un proyecto y puedo garantizaros que el hostal es confortable, muy lindo y el personal es siempre muy simpático y siempre disponible. Lo siento mucho pero non puedo no decir que hay unos bichos en las camas. Un amigo mío fue mordido en todo el cuerpo y tuve que tomas 3 dosis de cortisone al día. Dicho eso mi nota antes de saber de los bichos era 9/10 per ahora bajó a 6,5/10.

The space was cozy and nice and a friendly atmosphere, BUT I had a major issue. I noticed some bug traps in the room under the beds, I didn’t think much of it, it’s an old building. But I woke up with 5 bug bites on my arms and face. The reason I didn’t say anything was I thought the one on my face was a pimple and i didn’t notice the others until they all started to get itchy after rubbing on my clothes for a few hours. The space is really great, but if they have a bug problem it needs to be dealt with immediately.
