I would not recommend going to this hostel. The overall vibe was off and I didn’t feel particularly comfortable or safe. The kitchen is tiny and you don’t really want to be anywhere near it. Staff are friendly but it’s not super welcoming. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

Worst hostel I lived in my 8 months trip in Australia. Facilities are super old. Even though bathrooms are always closed for cleaning it’s still dirty.went just after there was still hair everywhere. Nothing to put your toilet bag or things. Rooms are super little, no place to put your bag. I felt down few times because I was sleeping on the upper part and nothing to grab to go in my bed. We cannot open the window in the room. Staff not friendly. No filtered water available.

Very weird vibe to the place, no lockers and unfriendly staff. Honestly just pay the difference and stay somewhere nice

This type of hostel was acceptable in the early 2000s when a night was 10 bucks. simple, ugly rooms, kitchen dirty, way overpriced, overall rather hostile atmosphere. For the same amount i have had a private room with TV and own bathroom in other Australian hostels.

A pretty bad hostel overall. The rooms don't have curtains, their own outlets, or their own lights. The beds are kind of poor quality. Plus, there are no lockers, security, or anything. The people at reception saw that I couldn't open the door and didn't even bother to open it for me; another guest had to open it for me.

Toilets were filthy, rooms were tiny and good luck if you’re on a top bunk there’s a high chance that you will fall off whilst sleeping. Rooms were also too small and there’s no where to store your stuff so there’s just stuff sprawled all over the place. The only consolation was that the staff were friendly, it’s located next to the bus and train station and the rooftop gives a fairly nice view.

This hostel was one of the worst i stayed at in Australia. The hallways stink of feet, kitchen is poorly equipped and gross, rooms have no curtains and smell pretty bad too. Bathrooms felt dirty. The whole place is super outdated and also had lots of long term guests so didnt seem very social. Wouldnt recommend

I love to stay at Chili Backpacker’s hostels, beautiful view on 3 rd and 4 th floor . I love this hostel , it has a lift that make it so convenient. Friendly staffs and friends, I love to stay here . Good price too . I will rate 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Good location but that was the only positive we found during our stay. The rooms were outdated, dark and generally miserable. When we arrived, there were multiple members of staff at the desk who could see we were waiting at the door- yet no one let us in. We had to wait for another guest to let us in. Bathrooms and showers were dirty and we dreaded going in them most times. We’ve stayed in many hostels, this one was by far the worst and not good value for money.

Room and bathroom weren’t particularly clean and the bed was horrifically uncomfortable. The location is good. We had a mix up on my part with the room but when I asked the staff if there was a possibility of a room change we were told they were fully booked. However, when checking online there was 3 other private rooms available to book both that night and the one after so I don’t think that was fully true. Walls were so thin we could hear every word in the room next door

Good moneys worth

Lockers in the rooms would be perfect.

Great staff, all very friendly. Good value for money and couldn’t complain with the facilities. A little bit out of the city centre but easy to get into the centre and it’s right next to Roma St station. Despite being next to the road I don’t disrupt sleeping at all, could barely hear it.

Clean-ish. Not the nicest facilities or close to anything in the city. Close to the train station.

A member of staff was not very helpful and made many inappropriate comments to us during our stay. Bedding has a sweat like smell as if it has not been washed or is extremely old. Air con is permanently on in rooms so had to wear multiple jumpers at once to sleep and was still cold. Kitchen fridge situation is extremely unhygienic food leaking absolutely everywhere and our food was constantly being moved which became hard to find. Everywhere is very unclean. Would not recommend.

I must say the place was very relaxed, the staff were lovely, had time for a chat, other travellers were also nice, I was there for the AC/DC concert and the location was fantastic, I could walk into the centre off Brisbane and shops were very handy as was eateries, hats off to all the staff who work very hard to keep the place clean and the air con was also very welcome to have in the room, I hope the place survives as I heard rumours that the developers want to level it to make way for apartme

Very random

Good hostel nice and cheap in a convenient location. Top bunks are a little rogue feels like you are so high with no bars to protect you from falling. The cleaning of the bathrooms at 9 am when checkout is at 10 am not ideal when you wanna shower and leave. But good hostel

We were okay with our Room and very happy that it was an all girls - Location was great - kitchen was Fine too. Everything was fine except the bathrooms- the showers were soooo filthy, the Water was just one big squirt and not many streams like it’s supposed to be. And there were hairballs on the Walls bigger than my head. And please throw away the shower curtains- they smell. Still felt dirty After showering. Hated the baths, rest was fine!

El hostal en si no es tan limpio ni comodo, las camas son viejas y la cocina algo pequeña pero lo que mejoro mi estadía fue el staff, son muy amables y sociables, cualquier duda lo resuelven rapido y siempre te reciben con una sonrisa, en especial Flor, la recepcionista es un amor y siempre esta dispuesta a resolver, ayuda y por que no charlar sobre la vida y darte tips de viajero, gracias a ella pude conocer más sobre Brisbane, donde ir, donde comer, como ahorrar etc 20/10.
