Sweed Dee Love Hostel

The hostel had one major issue that affected the entire stay: a stingy insistence on turning off the air conditioning in the common areas for most of the day. If you want to sit and relax in a shared space after a day at the beach, you simply can’t, because it gets unbearably hot. Instead, they open the windows, which brings in mosquitoes. If you work remotely, this is definitely not the place for you.

Free breakfast and snacks. Nice, Large clean rooms. No social scene. Staff are lovely and went out of their way to help, especially the smily lady at reception

Die Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Vom Hafen musste man schon ein Stückchen laufen, aber man war nicht mitten im Geschehen, was garnicht so schlecht ist. Die Betten waren super bequem und die Sanitäranlagen total sauber

Super clean hostel with very friendly staff. The hostel is as far away from the partying on the island as you can get but there’s no escaping the music. The beds are incredibly comfortable but the top bunks can get a little warm at night. Not a social hostel at all but the pancakes in the morning are a nice addition.

Generally nice, however, no key needed to access the rooms. Pretty decent location but beach party was loud inconvenience unless you are taking part lol. Probably wouldn’t recommend if you are looking to be social. Perfect for 1/2 night stay.

Pros: staff super friendly, amazing location (quiet, away from the parties so can sleep), comfy beds, very private, showers were clean, very chilled, easy to walk into main strip, rooms spacious Cons: breakfast was only toast (with no butter) and sometimes pancakes (Maxine wouldn’t work)

Bit further out which was perfect for us as phi phi is such a loud island until 4:30am. Sweetest staff, very clean and the newest Sweed Dee hostel I think! 14 bed dorms were really nice and didn’t feel small at all

Super quiet and chill which is nice but to meet people and have a night out it was a little difficult. Lockers tiny for luggage. It was a bit of a walk from the main area so walking home from a night out was dodge. The water stopped working a few times too and didn’t come back on for a bit so lots were waiting for showers

Very good hostel but not sociable. Rooms and bathrooms were kept extremely clean at all times, beds were made every day. Had a kitchen downstairs where there was cookies and toast. Location is a bit far out but also far enough out that you can sleep in the night. Would highly recommend if you aren’t bothered about socialising

Good hostel for a quiet stay. The staff was nice and the free breakfast was a nice bonus. My only complaints was that there were not enough washrooms and the water pressure was bad in the shower. Also the doors/windows might not be perfectly sealed as there were a lot of bug in the room after it rained.

The staff are so unbelievably nice and the hostel is really well managed, beds are cleaned each morning and constant help with bags. Bathrooms and bedrooms are really nice

Excelente estadía. El equipo es súper cálido y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La ubicación es ideal y el lugar muy limpio, superó mis expectativas. Te hacen sentir como en casa. ¡Muy recomendable!

Very kind staff and chill vibey place! My roommates were partying in the room which was not so great, but I asked to switch rooms and this was not a problem at all! So good customer service :)

Best hostel I’ve been so far!! Loved it, free breakfast and the staff was so nice. They even carried our luggage upstairs to the dorm

One of my fave hostels. Beds were comfy, clean facilities, biscuits and bread in the kitchen that you can help yourself to aswell as a water dispenser. Only downside is the island has no taxis so a bit of a walk (but onky bad with backpacks on) otherwise its easy to walk into the centre. They also help you carry your bags to your room which is nice :)

Das Hostel war toll! Es ist nicht direkt im Stadtzentrum, aber alles ist innerhalb von 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Mitarbeiter sind unfassbar freundlich und machen gefühlt die ganze Zeit sauber. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und was mir gut gefallen ist, dass so gut wie jedes Bett ein kleines Fenster, das Tageslicht reinkommt. Zudem gab es Kekse, Bananen, Toast und Marmelade umsonst und jeden Morgen wurden frische Pancakes bereitgestellt. Es gab auch Tee, Kaffee und Wasser und ein Kühlschran...

Very clean hostel and the crew is very polite. I would go there again!

Sehr liebe Mitarbeiter, welche einen immer gegrüßt haben und unfassbar freundlich waren. Alleine deswegen würde ich dort wieder hin gehen. Man liegt etwas abseits und deutlich ruhiger als mitten im Geschehen, was ich gut finde und auch so wollte. Man läuft ca. 10 min in die Stadt was für mich völlig in Ordnung ist. Duschen und WC waren immer sauber. Jeden Morgen gav es frische Pancakes. Ein paar Leute waren sehr social unterwegs, andere wiederum nicht. Betten sind bequem, lärm von außen ...

Super cute hostel in Phi Phi, a bit off the main strip but that was perfect for us. The staff were so kind and helpful, 16 bed dorms but very well laid out. One thing to note is the stair case is very steep and we were on the third floor. Overall a great place to stay if you are looking for a more laid back holiday :)

Definitely one of the best hostels i have stayed at. The facilities are good, but the stuff is extraordinary. They realy go above and beyond. Loved everything!

Top, bien situé à 15 minutes du ferry, propre, personnel aimable et accueillant, espace commun bien aménagé

Wirklich zu empfehlen! Zwar ein bisschen außerhalb aber alles in max. 15 minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Zwar kein Partyhostel aber man kann ja zu den Partys gehen und wirklich wahnsinnig gemütliche Betten!

Calm and comfortable place, about 10min walk from the city center. Nice showers and beds, good breakfast (incl coffee, tea, water, fruit, toasts, and home made pancakes). Staff were great and helpful. Would come back for sure!

Lovely staff, great location in a quieter area. The beds are really comfortable and spacious and the pancakes in the morning are an added bonus. Not the most social but an really comfortable hostel !

Even though this hostel was the most expensive one we stayed in throughout the entirety of Thailand, I would say it was worth it completely. The staff there are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met, made me feel like I was staying in a 5 star resort. Beds are comfortable and private, location is in walking distance of pretty much everything and you’re given free pancakes and snacks in the kitchen. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
