In a quiet part of the surrounding city, Casa Rosales was a great place to recuperate from a bad cold. The staff was lovely. My room was perfect and the breakfast was simple but delicious. It is a 5-10 walk to Laureles. The only down side was the lack of decent restaurants nearby.

I was unsure at first because there were no reviews on HostelWorld but there were many positive reviews on Google. Very nice place for price. Got a private ensuite room cheaper than a dorm room in some of the more popular hostels in Medellín. The place is comfortable and secure. The main disadvantage is that you are not in the two main tourist districts El Poblado/Laureles, but it is pretty close to both by taxi and perfect for a more quiet stay. Internet is okay but not great.
