Don’t rent a motorbike here! The wheel on my motorbike locked it self when i was driving and i hurt my leg badly! Even tho it obviously was something wrong with the bike, i had to pay for all of the repair, the rental for the hole day, even tho i gave back the moped after just a few hours plus the whole medical bill. Resulting in 5650 baht. His reasoning was that he couldn’t find anything wrong with the bike but I’m an experienced driver and was driving super slow on a strait calm road..
+ met nice people - dirty, not properly cleaned - during cleaning staff randomly puts things in different corners and on different piles - lots of broken or unmaintained sanitary bits - the most unfriendly hostel staff I had during my 6 month trip, rude and give worse prices for taxi than the taxi drivers on the street - tap was broken for over 2 weeks (there was a sign that they want to fix it after a holiday. I arrived after that holiday…)
+free breakfast/coffee +scooter rent -yoga only once a day -cleanliness -intense moldy smell in room All the things above were alright for me to stay another night cuz its convenient. I told the host that I want to extend for 1 night more than 24 hours in advance & on Hostelworld there were beds available. He told me that I may need to switch rooms but I can stay. the next day i had a day trip planned and was expecting to switch rooms but when I came back there was no bed available.
Checked in to my room and it smelt of rot and mold. Didn’t look clean at all. Dust and dirt around the mattress and in the locker. The bathroom was the most dirty, and I felt like I wasn’t clean after entering. This was enough for me to chance hostels, so I didn’t really check out the social areas etc
We liked the hostel at first, great location, great facilities, lovely staff, BUT we had to check out early as there were bed bugs in our room, one of the girls found them on her bed curtain & in pillow case, and we had an extremely stressful day at the pharmacy, laundry & jetwashing our bags as they were crawling out of our bags.. the staff were kind & apologetic, we were refunded but I wouldn’t want any other travellers to experience this, we’re covered in rashes & it was very unpleasant:(...
Not in good location. Breakfast in morning was just eggs and so overcrowded round a tiny table I went out for breakfast instead. Have to take shoes off in whole hostel and floors felt dirty I could feel the dirt on my feet it was gross. Not very social. THE CURTAINS DO NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY ! Which is so bad the whole reason for curtains is privacy what’s the point when everyone can still see you through the massive gaps left when they don’t close all the way? Especially a F staying in mix d...
The hostel is okay, but my experience was disappointing. I had to pay for a “free” yoga session after leaving early due to dizziness—there was no understanding from staff. The advertised coworking space didn’t exist, and the Wi-Fi was unstable. AC is turned off during the day, and common areas have no fans. Overall, the stay lacked comfort and transparency.
The guy at the front desk was unnecessarily rude to us from the moment we got there, we were simply enquiring about the normal hostel information and bookings such as yoga, towels and transport and it was like we were inconveniencing them significantly. It continued to happen during our stay and made us feel incredibly unwelcome. There was also no empathy for any unexpected plan changes. Also the “free breakfast” was just toast and scrambled egg.
It was dark in the room. Sink was dripping to the floor and drain smelled like rotted eggs. Shower was moldy. Also public restrooms were dirty. Don’t go there if you don’t wanna get eaten by mosquitoes while sleep. The morning lady was so nice and sweet tho!!!
Very basic hostel with basic facilities. Not the cleanest. Beds were okay, location was central. Staff were welcoming. Not the most social hostel. Was super chilled, but don’t book this if you want to mix with people as it’s not social.

Absolutely amazing place. The owner Leo is a great guy, everybody’s really sweet and welcoming. Great vibes in general. Social but not too crazy. Comfortable beds, a lot of showers and toilets. Cute cats :)
Loved this hostel! The staff is very welcoming, and Nora, the yoga instructor, was amazing! Had the best time here and I really want to come back. Only downside is that it’s quite a walk to get to stuff, but I guess that’s true for most of Koh Lanta. They offer scooter rentals tho
Amazing staff & okay location. my biggest downside was the drains really smelt bad.
J’ai adoré cet hostel. Les cours de yoga étaient très facilement accessible. Les employés étaient super gentils et ils donnaient de bons conseils (merci Toby!).
I loved this hostel. yoga classes were very easily accessible. the staff were super nice and they gave good advice (thank you Toby!).

The staff were super helpful and friendly and told me about things going on in the local area. It was really handy having a breakfast included, and I only did one yoga class but Nora was a great teacher and very supportive! The communal space here is really cool too. Only downside I would say is it’s a little bit far from some of the attractions of Koh Lanta if you aren’t renting a scooter
Top Hostel! Very Social, breakfast Yoga and gym and 5min walk to the beach:) beds were comfy and the room was clean
Sehr gut 👍
See the good in you.
Thought the hostel could do with a deep clean and a dorm renovation. everything was a bit dirty. The social areas were nice and relaxed but sleeping area dimly lit and smelly
Hostel ideally located near to the beach. The free breakfast is basic but sufficient. The hostel itself was rather dirty and didn’t appear to be cleaned thoroughly. The dorms are dark and can smell if the bathroom door is left open. The beds themselves were quite comfortable. The staff weren’t overly friendly or helpful when I went to them for help. I stayed at another hostel nearby afterwards with a lower rating and price, which was far nicer and cleaner
Think we were put in a bad room but smelt and felt really cramped. Bathroom wasn’t nice either. Didn’t feel clean here but breakfast is a plus and 5 minute walk to the beach
I met really nice people, the common room area is chilled with big hammocks and I had a great sleep despite other comments about uncomfy beds. But cleanliness is an issue - you do see the staff sweeping the common room but the bathrooms and bedrooms need proper cleaning daily not a quick rinse or sweep - there was clumps of hair in one of the shared showers for three days straight and black mould along the top half of the en-suite bathroom tiles and a bad smell, I was actively avoiding both!
A simple hostel with everything you need. Including free breakfast and yoga class. I stayed 2 nights - very comfy bed. There was no real social aspect to the hostel so there sadly isn’t much of a vibe. It’s mainly just a place to sleep. The location is right on the main road meaning the common area is very loud traffic noise and not the most peaceful. Need to book yoga classes 1-3 days in advance - not great when only staying for a couple of nights as they get booked up.
The staff was incredibly friendly. There is free Yoga for Hostelgäste, that was 10/10. Unfortunately it was rather dirty, especially the Shower/WC. Out of the bathroom came a very very bad-richer Geruch. Weil das Personal was so great I would still immediately recommend the Hostel!
I really enjoyed my stay at non la mer. I stayed there 9 nights in total. The staff is really lovely and helpful. You can book your transfer to different destinations and they also have scooters to rent. If you never drove a scooter before Tobi will give you a little driving lesson. The common area is super chill and I met the mist amazing people there. The rooms are really spacious and there are lockers in the dorm as well. I went to Nora’s yoga class 3 times and had so much fun!
A solid hostel overall with a relaxed vibe and friendly people. It’s not a party hostel, and the common area is a nice place to chill. However, it’s quite noisy—you can hear everything in the room, even from the downstairs common area. Breakfast is very basic (just two toasts with egg). The yoga classes were often fully booked a day in advance, which was disappointing, and the gym wasn’t great either. There was also a slight smell at times. Overall, a chill place, but I expected a bit mo...
Not sure why some reviews claim this to be the best hostel. Anticlimactic. Don’t book if you expect to get yoga. Nothing wrong nor notable
An excellent hostel in Koh Lanta. It's super clean, very social and the staff is the best ! I highly recommend if you're passing on the island
Staying at Non La Mer was the best part of my Thailand trip. I originally booked 3 days and ended up staying for nearly 2 weeks! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Toby, Mina & Lisa were so kind🥰 so many great free workshops available. the common area is such a vibe, it’s so clean and social atmosphere is very relaxed. I can’t wait to come back in a years time. THANKYOU SO MUCH GUYS :)
