Bayside House

I stayed for 3 night and on the second night I noticed a few bites on my back but I thought it must have been mosquito bites. On the third night I couldn't sleep with the itching and literally could see bed bugs on my pillow. The next morning I woke with my back,arms and legs were completely covered in bedbug bites. The place is disgusting!! Avoid at all costs!

Every step of the way was problematic. No debit machine so I had to walk a couple blocks to go get cash, my key didn't work properly, the mattresses were just thin foam, they came into the room at 11 at night to vacuum then again at 9 in the morning to rip the room apart. They increased the rate by 5 dollars even though they were closing the hostel between 10 - 4 and everyone had to vacate. I'm sure all of my clothes have bed bugs now and I witnessed the manager having an argument with a girl where she told her to "shut the **** up". Worst hostel experience I have ever had to be honest.

We stayed in a 9 person room which was horrible, tiny with 3 triple bunks crammed in. There was about 1m floor space which between 9 strangers is not enough. Also there was no ventilation in the room (window didn’t open) and it was BOILING but the hostel owner said it wasn’t hot enough to turn the air con on! Eventually we were given a fan but it was so unpleasant, hot and stuffy. I also got bitten really badly, convinced there were bed bugs here too. The kitchen was dirty and none of the kettles worked.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Riddled with bed bugs, was bitten 3 nights in a row and each time reported it to the young night warden who was great about it, however the owner Danielle comes across real friendly until you have an issue, I told her that I had been bitten and showed photos but she was in denial and blaming mosquitos! Gave me no chance to say anymore got angry and begun to place hands on myself, I requested I get a refund and was instantly told I was being evicted (6 45am). Not great
