- We waren erg teleurgesteld in onze ervaring met Our Jungle Camp. We hadden een overnachting geboekt, maar kregen helaas voedselvergiftiging en konden daardoor niet komen. We hebben geprobeerd om onze boeking te verplaatsen of (gedeeltelijk) terug te krijgen, maar dat bleek niet mogelijk. Dat vonden we erg jammer, zeker gezien de omstandigheden. We hopen dat er in de toekomst wat flexibeler wordt omgegaan met situaties waarin gasten onverwacht ziek worden.

+ Die Außenlage. Das war es leider aber auch schon.

- Eins vorweg: ich/wir gehören nicht zu denjenigen, die wegen Kleinigkeiten eine schlechte Bewertung abgeben. Aber das Jungle Camp ist ein absoluter fail. Mehr Schein als sein. Wir haben uns leider von den Bildern (u.a. auf Instagram) täuschen lassen. Die Außenanlage ist schön. Die Zimmer sind bei weitem nicht so, wie sie auf Bildern dargestellt sind. Der Transfer von Surat Thani mit über 2.200 Baht ist ein Wucherpreis und die Leute werden ganz schön abgezockt. Wir haben daraufhin einen Rücktransport für 350 Baht/p.P. im Dorf gebucht - war mindestens genauso gut und unkompliziert. Auf alles wird nochmal 7 % Tax drauf geschlagen (egal ob essen im Restaurant oder Touren). Geht man eine Straße weiter ins Restaurant, werden keine Steuern draufgeschlagen also keine Ahnung warum es im Eco Jungle Camp so ist. Das Essen im Restaurant ist teuer und für den Preis ein Witz. Die Touren sind richtige Massenabfertigung. Am CHEOW LAN LAKE hat man noch nicht mal an den drei Felsen (dem eigentlichen Spot) kurz angehalten für ein Foto. Was zudem nicht kommuniziert wurde (sondern erst nach der Buchung): es kommen noch Eintrittsgebühren für den coral cave zu den normalen Parkeintrittsgebühren. Dies steht so nicht auf der HomePage. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft nicht.

+ The huts were spread out.

- It was surrounded by other resorts but it was advertised to make it seem it was a jungle experience in a remote area. We were kept up I until 1 am by loud music and screaming from a neighbouring resort. You couldn’t have your own drinks or food in the room because of monkeys but the cabin had lots of places where they could come inside. It could have been more secure. No fridge. We booked a day night trek but were advised to take money or swimwear.

+ El personal muy amable, te llevan y te traen con sus tuktuk. La excursión que contratamos en el hotel muy bien de precio, nos encantó.

- Las cabañas no están cerradas del todo, hay un hueco entre el techo y las paredes, eso hace que de noche se escuche todo (habrá a quien le guste la aventura pero no fue mi caso). Eso hace que entren bichos y animales. Nos encontramos lombrices en el baño y algún animalito hacia sus necesidades en nuestra cama, tuvimos que pedir sábanas para cambiarlas. Me guié por la buena puntuación que tenía y seguro que habrá a quien le encante estar dentro de la naturaleza, pero mi experiencia no fue buena.

+ El alojamiento, perfecto. Las casas árbol en medio de aquel paisaje cumplió todas nuestras expectativas, aún no habiendo podido disfrutar todo lo que queríamos al retrasarse nuestro vuelo de llegada. El desayuno fantástico.

- Al dejar el alojamiento, cogimos taxi para dirigirnos al siguiente destino, y por despiste se quedo en el taxi un bolso, por lo que llamamos al hotel para ver sí conocían al taxista para recuperarlo, y nos dijeron que sí, que eran sus taxistas habituales y que le llamaban. Al minuto nos llamaron para decir que lo habían intentado pero que no habían logrado contactar con él y que debíamos contactar con la agencia con la que reservamos el transfer. Les indicamos que ya lo habíamos hecho, pero que al no tratarse solo del bolso sino del los pasaportes que iban dentro, nos urgía localizar al taxista para recuperarlos, pero de desentendieron insistiendo que lo gestionáramos con la agencia, ya que no habíamos reservado con ellos dicho transfer. Finalmente pudimos recuperar el bolso a través de la agencia, pero la verdad, nos pareció un detalle horrible que el hotel no nos ayudara, ya que aunque ellos no se llevaran esa comisión del taxi, se trataba de una urgencia.

+ Die Natur und das Feeling im Dschungel, war hervorragend.

- Leider waren viele Mitarbeiter sehr unmotiviert. Ausserdem haben wir (5 pax) uns den Magen verdorben mit den Eiswürfeln vom iced lemon tea. Die Reaktion der guest relation Managerin war, dass sie uns kohletabletten anbieten kann. Oder in der Pharmacy etwas besorgen. Leider keine Reaktion, dass es aus Ihrer Küche kam.

+ We arrived to explore new place in Thailand which we haven't seen yet and luckily we only two nights in this

- Two nights were enough. Room is an extremely simple bamboo hut. No AC! Maybe we missed it when booking and if yes, it was important mistake for us. The structure is open and through the holes around the hut, under the doors etc. you get mosquitoes, ants and other jungle insects. You have to sleep just under the net. Expensive for what you get. You pay for eco resort but this is cheap eco and extremely basic wooden hut. Everything feels dump and super humid and it's like you sleep outside in the tent. The rooms, bedding and towels smell of dump. Really bad. We were infested by ants after the first night. Next morning the house keeping made the beds but didn't even touch ants so we found them when we got back. No amenities in the room. No kettle, no tea or coffee. No amenities in the bathroom, only shampoo and shower gel. Breakfast was not included and compared to other places in the area their menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner is more expensive. We checked a few other accomodatios where they had nice air conditioned small Bamboo huts and breakfast included and they were half price! We live in Thailand so have experience of many eco resorts but we were disappointed here and cannot recommend this place

+ The location is beautiful and the food was decent. The river is splendid. We really enjoyed the tubing activity here. Highly recommend the 4 km long lazy river tubing experience. It's not for adrenalin junkies...Its just a lot of fun.

- The service could have been better. Please make sure you check your bill at the time of checkout and verify you have been charged correctly. There were many mistakes in our bill and it did not seem like an oversight.

+ De locatie van het hotel is prachtig, huisjes ook erg leuk ingericht.

- De klantvriendelijkheid was echt een teleurstelling gezien het enthousiasme waarmee we naar deze plek toegingen. We kregen een bungalow vlak naast het restaurant en de bar waardoor we veel last hadden van het geluid. Toen we hierover naar de receptie gingen wisten ze gelijk welke kamer we bedoelden. Ons werd een andere kamer beloofd maar nog 3 keer informeren gezien er geen actie kwam was ons een hut ver buiten de verhuurde bungalows aangeboden die slecht gebruikt werden voor schoolgaande kinderen op kamp (met stapelbedden). Daarnaast waren er bouwmannen aan het bouwen vlak voor de deur. Niet echt de ervaring van een huisje in de natuur dus.. Er vergelijkbaar alternatief met ons huisje was er niet gezien alles vol geboekt was bleek. Een korting werd beloofd. Helaas bleek bij het afrekenen deze niet op de bon te staan. Toen we hier opnieuw naar moesten vragen werd geen excuus aangeboden en niet vriendelijk gereageerd. Erg jammer van deze hele ervaring.

+ The location is amazing. Surrounded by flowers, trees, the jungle and waking up with the sounds from the jungle. It was perfect. The bungalow was also beautiful and very comfy

+ Het slapen in de jungle met alle geluiden was echt een ervaring.

- Mijn was was verkleurd...al het wit was lichtroze (ik had zelf niks roods of iets bij me)

+ We loved our stay at this eco resort! The rooms are large & comfortable. The food was excellent! They also helped us organised a tour to the lake & our taxi to Phuket after our stay. The staff is very helpful & friendly.
