+ There were few guests, so I was able to spend a quiet time
- The shower and toilet were outdoors, and there were many mosquitoes. There were also huge spiders and large spider webs in the room, and because I’m afraid of insects, I couldn’t sleep comfortably
+ Sehr sauber, ok Preis, ok Lage.
- Übler Geruch aus dem Bad. Haben uns einen Duftspray geholt um den Aufenthalt zu überstehen. Hatten keine Gelegenheit, den Geruch zu melden, weil wir einfach zu Busy waren. Sehe ich aber auch nicht als meinen Job ab – der Geruch war so offensichtlich, das müsste das Personal bei der Reinigung bereits merken. Die dachterrasse war im Bau und nicht benutzbar, somit auch keine Küche. Fenster vorne geht zum Innenhof, weniger laut als gedacht. Fenster an der Zimmer Rückseite war ohne Vorhang. Schlafmaske hilft.

I would recommend this hostel! It was very quiet as it’s tucked away in an alley. Short walk to night bazaar, bus station, and many temples. No social atmosphere at all but peaceful place with beautiful rooftop. I liked that there was a refrigerator, drinking water dispenser, and that the dorm room was dark and good aircon made for good sleeping. Some bugs since it’s half-outside but overall incredibly clean. would be good place for a digital nomad since rooftop has many seating options!
Not a bad hostel, just not a great one. It feels vaguely unfinished-there’s a rooftop bar but you have to go down and ask for drinks at reception and no one is doing that. Very quiet and clean though. Located on a nice side street. Bathroom sinks are outside, probably not a good choice for the rainy season.

+ Beautiful new hostel tucked away just a few mins walk into Chiang Rai. The only down side is that it’s not very social so a bit of a struggle to meet people as a solo traveller.

Secret Corner was absolutely beautiful. If/when I visit Chiang Rai again, I will absolutely be staying here again. I had the best sleep ever, the beds were extremely comfortable and the space was super clean! It honestly feels like a hotel-- the value on this place is crazy good.
I had a great stay at Secret Corner! This hostel is brand new, very clean and beautifully designed. The rooftop was a really nice space for coworking, enjoying sunsets and meeting fellow travelers.
Awesome place! Quiet, clean, staff is super helpful and nice. Highly highly recommend for anyone! I just so happened to be the only person staying in the entire hostel and it was so calm and nice.
Ugh this was the best hostel ive stayed in so far on my southeast Asia stint. super comfy beds and super clean. it’s a super convenient location and there’s a rooftop to hang out on after a long day to have some drinks with the other guests. We watched the sunset with some girls from our room and played some games, super chill vibe. can’t stress enough how comfy and clean it was, the owners clearly put a lot of care into this place. sweet stay and gonna miss it❤️🔥
I've stayed in quite a few hostels across Europe, Asian and the US and this was one of my favorites. I stayed in the 8 person bunk room and the beds were super comfy and clean. There were a handful of other young folks in the bunk rooms and a few older couples in the private rooms upstairs and we all got to know each other while I was there! New, clean, staff is very friendly and helpful, beds are comfy but pillow is a bit too hard other than that I enjoyed my stay here

+ Minha primeira vez num hostel! Adorei o atendimento da proprietária! Meu ingles não é tão bom assim, mas mesmo assim ela foi paciente e super carismática comigo. Achei a cama bem confortável e chuveiro muito bom. O local é super tranquilo, o que foi mais um ponto muito bom pra mim, adoro ambientes mais silenciosos. Este hostel é um lugar que me senti segura e se possível voltaria novamente!
+ Over deze recent geopende hostel kan ik geen enkel negatief punt opnoemen. Dit voelt als een hotel. Het is gelegen aan het eind van een doodlopende straat. Je hebt geen enkele last van ook maar enig omgevingsgeluid. Ik had er mijn beste nachtrust in lange tijd. Het personeel is supervriendelijk en hulpvaardig. De kamers zijn van onberispelijke kwaliteit. Er is een fantastische mooie en propere rooftop ... Van 's morgens tot 's avonds zijn de poetsdames aan het werk. Het is exact 5 min wandelen naar de hoofdstraat. Je zit in alle rust en toch dichtbij alles. Binnen de minuut afstand kan je een bromfiets huren en je was laten doen.
- Echt waar, ik kan geen enkele reden bedenken waarom je niet voor deze plaats zou kiezen!
+ From the aesthetic of the space, the room, the cleanliness, the facilities through the location and to the staff, this hostel is amazing! We booked a double room so we didn’t share with others or see that but everything was just perfect! Felt more like a hotel rather than a hostel but with an amazing outdoorsy laid back environment. Keep up the amazing work!

+ C'est l'un des hostels les plus élégants et accueillants où j'ai séjourné durant mon voyage. La chambre était absolument impeccable et les douches d'une propreté imbattable, en plus d'une décoration très soignée. Les espaces communs, et notamment le rooftop, sont très agréables. La propriétaire et son mari sont adorables et très aidants. Il est possible de réserver des tours et de louer un moyen de transport directement auprès de la réception, ce qui est très pratique. Un grand merci pour ce (trop bref) séjour. Je reviendrai.

+ This place is a hidden gem. The hotel is called Secret Corner, but honestly it should be called Secret Treasure. It is a new hostel designed with remarkable attention to detail. Simply stepping into the courtyard and looking up, or going to the top floor and looking down, is a pleasure in itself. The architecture and design are so thoughtfully done that they genuinely impressed me. The location is wonderfully quiet, at the end of a small dead-end street. In countries like Thailand, where noise can be constant, this kind of peace is extremely valuable. I had a private room that is about the size of a room where eight people would normally stay in a typical hostel. It was therefore very spacious, with a very comfortable bed, good air conditioning, and it was perfectly clean. What I appreciated most was that the room was bright and full of natural light, which is surprisingly rare in tropics. The staff are incredibly kind, in the best Thai sense of hospitality. Warm, friendly and always ready to help. It was always a pleasure to come back to this place, to this air of calmness from a busy day of sightseeing. It truly feels like a small treasure hidden in plain sight.

Every trip has its ups and downs, and before my arrival in Chiang Rai I was thinking of flying to a different country. But I found myself at Secret Corner and things went back to normal! A new modern and cozy hostel/hotel on a quite street of Chiang Rai close to the city center, great and caring personnel always providing interesting and useful tips about the city and the area in general. The hostel is not a party one, but a chill place where one can relax in a quiet atmosphere. Great rooftop!

I loved it here so much. The cleanest, coziest bed I had in Thailand. The owners are incredibly sweet and helpful and the entire place is very nice. Not the most social but still able to meet folks if you enjoy the common areas. Book this!

had a great stay at secret corner ! The hostel is brand new and you really can enjoy all the clean and cosy spaces. The cleaning ladies are really nice and respectful. Everything is clean, shower are really nice and the bed in dorms are really comfy I slept really good during my stay !Ying the owner is really a nice lady and really helpful.
