Hanoi Lucky Hostel

Unfortunately, the cleanliness was far below expectations. The bathroom was very dirty, and there was an unpleasant smell in the bedroom. Overall, the hostel did not seem well maintained, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Not a social hostel at all, the rooms are a bit crowded and the layout is weird. The fact that our room was in the 5th floor with no elevator didnt help. Also FYI, they close the main door at 12pm, so if you make it later than that you will have to ring a door bell or call one of the phone numbers. Booked two nights and only stayed there one to move over to the Old Quarter, much more lively and the hostels’ quality is much better.

The Room was moisty. The bathroom was not so clean and the staff was also not so friendly.

The room we stayed in was pretty nice. Unfortunately, the service and friendliness of the staff was very poor. We booked a tour to Ha Giang through the hostel. The employee promised us two routes on a sleeper bus. However, on the way back we discovered that only one route had been booked on the bus. So we paid for both routes on the sleeper bus but only received one. When we confronted the employee, we realized that he showed no understanding for our complaint. The positive thing is that it is in a great location. It is close to everything but on a very quiet street. The rooms and bathrooms although they look new are very dirty. I don't know if it is the hostel's fault or the people who gather there. I hate staying there and wouldn't go back. I also did a trip with them to Han La Bay, which went very well. The staff will try to sell you everything from them, such as excursions, bus tickets, etc. and they are a bit crooked if you don't buy.

This is a basic hostel. No elevator, no common area, no hot water when I showered. Also no locks or codes on the bedroom doors, but a locker and lock are provided. The free breakfast was decent. You order from a set menu so it’s not self-serve aside from some basic fruit/veggies and drinks.

Room itself was decent, quite spacious with drawers under bed with key/padlock. Bathroom wasnt clean and not as seen in the photos. Lots going on around in terms of location. Had to climb 4 sets of stairs as no lift but not the end of the world. Could book trips/ ha giang through hostel which is nice

Fine hostel / small hotel. Stayed in a private room. Was all good but absolutely nothing special. Staff was helpful but it’s not necessary to ask me a few times where I’m going next the moment I arrive so you get your % on the bus transport haha. Give it a chill.

Super emplacement, employée dévoués. Transport depuis et vers l'aéroport disponible avec surplus. Nous avons reversés 2 trips avec l'hostel et tout s'est déroulé à merveille. Je recommande fortement lendoit!!

Spent 2 very comfortable nights here. James was very helpful and knowledgeable and kindly carried my bag up the stairs. The hostel is in a great location, near everything but in a quiet street.

James Tran was the receptionist and he help me booking trip to Ha Giang and Ha Long bay really good trip The room here clean and comfortable i would like to to recommend this one to anybody.

- Bathroom was not super clean ; + location ; + James at the reception is really reactive ; + organizing trips, Ha Giang Loop e.g. , transports etc via them is super easy ; + price-performance

The hostel is good because of its proximity and that's it, but they forgot to tell me about the shower button and I went without a shower one night. The rest was perfect and James was very friendly. Breakfast ok as well

Very nice hotel with friendly staff, in a very good location. Highly recommended :) James Tran who works here is very helpful with everything. Good location and very easy to book and explore Hanoi The hotel also has super cheap and delicious drinks. Will definitely come back here

Great location and excellent staff! james were very helpful and responsive, they helped us book transport to Ninh Binh and back. This was our second stay in Hanoi, and we will definitely be back here again. The location is great, the rooms are very comfortable and styled really well and the staff are amazing. The receptionist, was so kind and helpful. I hope the hotel knows how lucky they are to have him

Best one in Hanoi Viet Nam I highly recommend this great hostel and all the tour information from James Tran . I did booked Ha Long bay and Ninh Binh 1 day trip , Hagiang loop 3days 2 nights from him and its was so so amazing . Dormitory room also clean - nice bed with private fan and air conditioning was great. Basically nothing for complain so i did stay longer thani though . I would like recommend this one.

Second time staying here in June! Had a great stay - location is perfect. The lack of natural light in the private rooms isn’t great but it’s worth it for the price and location. Did the Ha Long Bay tour and I’d suggest skipping it - not because of the hostel but just because it’s mad overcrowded as a whole! The Banh Mi stand right outside is incredible

This place was amazing couldn’t recommend it more.
