Kohmunity Hostel

The location is convenient, but the surrounding area is not very nice. The hostel has a very party-focused atmosphere, with frequent drug use and loud noise late into the night, making it hard to sleep. Common areas were often very dirty in the mornings. The shared bathroom was flooded and unhygienic, and staff did not address the issue. Beds were cheap and in poor condition. Curtains were not even the same lenght as the bed. So no privacy. Overall, not a comfortable stay. Staff was friendly.

Door didn’t lock, room was full of flies, bathroom smelt and the beds felt like they were going to collapse when on the top bunk.

Ingesamt wirklich keine gute Erfahrung. Die Toiletten haben gestunken, es gab praktisch kein Tageslicht im Zimmer, das Schloss um die Toilette abzuschließen war kaputt, die Vorhänge an den oberen Betten hängen viel zu niedrig. Allgemein eher ziemlich dreckig. Es gibt keinen Bereich für nicht „raucher“, das heißt man ist 24/7 von Rauch umgeben. An manchen Tagen gab es kein Frühstück, dies wurde aber nicht kommuniziert. Es ist sehr sozial, aber das ist auch wirklich das einzige Positiv...

I didn‘t like my stay at all. It was my first hostel experience and the dorms felt like being in a prison. No space at all, very dark, bathroom inside was not clean. I also like to party, but I didn‘t feel very welcomed there. So maybe only for the younger crowd, smoking weed.

Rooms horrible, usually left unlocked, no curtains on top bunk and small partial curtains on bottom bunks. the beds were also very short so bottom bunk was very cramped. could not sit up straight. Bathroom felt very dirty but water pressure was good and shower was hot. Staff and reps were lovely and attentive, yoga every day, pool was great and amazing social vibes. overall great hostel aside from the horrible rooms.

Not a fan of the high prices and forced 3 day stay over new years…this will prevent people from attending in the future if it continues. Overall good stay, bar area is a little small with limited places to sit and socialise. The pool is great and in the sun all day. Beds are pretty hard with no curtains on the top bunks.

Prima hostel maar niet echt onze vibe. Ook vonden we het niet hygiënisch en veel muggen in de kamer. Wel heerlijk zwembad.

An sich solides Hostel, gibt ein Pool, Billard usw das ist echt cool aber irgendwie konnten wir nicht so ganz mit den Leuten connecten da die Mehrheit auch älter war. Das Bad war echt dreckig aber an sich voll oke

Staff member made me feel unwelcomed and made a joke about how I should sleep outside. It was a joke but after 13 hours of traveling that’s not exactly how I want to feel. They were weird about my friend switching rooms to be in my room and his room was very gross. First night our air conditioner did not work and we sweat all night. Vibes were weird overall here. One of my least favorite hostels in Thailand

Absolutely unreal hostel, so cheap and has so many free facilities- pool, yoga, pool table, biscuits, coffee/tea station, weed sold in the bar, very social, the best we stayed on koh phangnan would 100% recommend

Best hostel!! such a friendly environment and really sociable and also loads of chill areas. staff are amazing ! Beds are comfy, cheap nice food and drinks. Free dinner on Thursdays and free yoga every morning and also do fun pre parties before big parties in the night time. Such good vibes here and close to so many things, recommend this hostel so much !! Enjoyed my stay here a lot ☺️☺️definitely the best hostel I have stayed at on my travels 💕✨

Ik ben hier drie nachtjes gebleven en heb veel verschillende indrukken. De yoga was geweldig en het personeel was super vriendelijk. Het zwembad is heel fijn en ook erg schoon. Maar de kamer waar ik in sliep was maar 1 badkamer met ook nog is toilet en douche in 1, deze was dus meestal bezet. De douche was ook onhandig, het was een soort bad en douche in 1 zonder gordijn… verder werd er veel drugs gebruikt en rook ik continu wiet. Beetje gemengde gevoelens dus! By far the best hostel at Koh Phangan and it’s not even close. There’s a reason a lot of people from other hostels came to Kohmunity after finding out about it. I extended my stay 3 times just because of how great the people and facilities are. It’s at a great location and right by the beach. Can’t think of any negatives about this hostel. Will for sure come back.

Highlight of my Koh Phangan stay! Had a pleasant time. Even though I don’t enjoy party/too crowded hostel, I loved my time being in Kohmunity Hostel. A perfect mix of making friends, having the opportunity to party/activities and chill at the same time. The stuff is very helpful and u get free coffee, yoga and a workout area! Would recommend and def come back again

Best hostel in ko phangan !!!

Legendary hostel. Cheap food, cheap drinks for a hostel, free yoga, well equipped gym, a genuine clean pool, beds are large, music shuts off at 12 everyday and there’s always something to do. Staff are helpful and lovely of course. Easy to get stuck here

This is definitely the best hostel in Koh Phangan! Pretty social, a lot of activities, perfect location and the staff is just amazing!

A super good and social hostel. I loved the vibe. So many areas to chill. Pepole liked the hostel so much that many pepole did not leave during the whole day. Nice pool and nice activities during the day and night! I loved the free yoga every morning! Only down side was the dorms, the beds felt super cheap and the floor was always dirty. Louise is the BEST! Loved her yoga classes every day and she has the best vibes. Really fun karaoke here and great if you want to go out and meet nice people.

Insgesamt gut! Gutes Ambiente, gratis yoga war auch klasse. das anzeige was mich dazu getrieben hat auszuziehen: die klimaanlage war dauernd an auf 17(?) grad. es war eiskalt und ich bin krank geworden. es hätte eine fernbedienung gegeben, aber die ist nach den ersten paar stunden verschwunden.

Mon meilleur hostel préféré jusqu’à maintenant. Les espaces communs, le staff, l’ambiance, les autres backpackers, les pre parties, rien à dire tout était parfait. C’est ici où j’ai fait mes plus belles rencontres. Les chambres restent un peu petites et les douches ne sont pas les mieux mais j’ai adoré mon temps dans cet hostel.

The staff are welcoming, the boss is supernice and all around just a 10/10 place to me.

Great hostel and amazing vibe. Super friendly crowd, good facilities to hang out in and lots of social events. I extended a few times because i didnt want to leave. Shout out to Louise who was always the most fun company.
