Unfortunately we were quite disappointed. We stayed for a few nights, were super excited because of the great Hostelworld reviews, which seam to be quite outdated. There’s no one there, had to wait for hours to check in even though we agreed on a check in time beforehand. Water wasn’t working for a whole day and electricity was not working during the day. The hostel itself is beautiful but it feels abandoned and it’s not at all social.

I really loved this hostel ! Even though it’s not in the center where the other hostels are it is really really cozy and such a cute little home for everybody ! I loved the big kitchen and all the facilities outside ! You have a big bathroom with each dorm and it feels a bit like home :) Would definitely recommend especially if you’re coming with a bigger group or some friends. Not the most social hostel but definitely a cozy vibe! The owner are super helpful and nice aswell!

Mega Hostel. Sehr entspannte Atmosphäre, viel Platz in der Küche. Preis Leistung ist auch sehr gut!

I really liked this place:) the vibe is nice with lots of hamacs and big kitchen. Right on front if the beach. Perfect place to relax. The staff was really helpful 👋

I really liked staying at marumar! Rafa was very welcoming and the vibe is really chill full of plants and the hammocks super comfortable. You got drinking water which I didn’t have in my last hostel and the kitchen is pretty big and well supplied. I specially liked having my own box in the fridge, so no ¨mistakes¨ about food owner ship. Really recommend it if you want a homely vibe.

Very nice hostel with a chill vibe. Social but not loud or partyish and multiple hammocks to hang out in the common area. All beds are equipped with mosquito nets and small fans. Derek and the other staff members are very friendly and helpful. The only “annoying” thing is the walk to get to the store and Amahula/Big Surf hostel for the activities. But I can highly recommend and would definitely come back!

The hostel & staff were really nice & it was cheaper than most accommodations in Popoyo!

Super Lage, super schön gestaltetes Haus, gute Matratzen im Dorm, super Preisleistungsverhältnis, Mitarbeiter hilfsbereit, Küche super ausgestattet. Sauberkeit könnte etwas verbessert werden. Man sollte wissen, dass sonntags keine Busse fahren und man sehr teuer einkauft vor Ort.

Great hostel right on the beach. The rooms and the common area were very nice and clean. The owner was also very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here!

Estuve en Marumar en Noviembre y me encanto. El lugar es muy tranquilo, disfrute mucho de poder cocinar y de hacer asados en la parrilla del patio. Conoci gente muy agradable durante mi estadía y Rafa fue un gran anfitrión, siempre con buena energía. La playa queda a solo unos metros lo cual es ideal y hay varios puntos claves por la zona, como Kooks cafe, Viento Este, Chimichurri. Muy recomendable, espero volver pronto!
