Vientiane Ruby Backpackers Hostel

Hostel ou je ne me suis pas sentie à l’aise du tout, pleins de mecs qui vous relooke près de la piscine, pour rencontrer du monde ça passe mais ambiance un peu étrange, le staff est gentil mais cet Hostel m’a foutu un peu l’angoisse, si je repasse par vientiane je n’y retournerais pas Les chambres sont confortables, la clim assez froide Les douches étaient sales, j’ai trouvé une serviette hygiénique usagée dedans, je suis contente d’y être restée qu’une nuit

There is no closed common area, the only place you can sit is outside and mosquitoes are eating you and is very hot because of course there is no air condition. It’s impossible to sit, work or either do some activity outside your room! Bed vas comfortable btw but I had feeling that everything was dirty and there was some engine working for 2 days, it was noisy like a hell.

Do not stay here. The reviews are fake. The toilets and showers and very unclean. Lots of random people walking around the hostel I felt very unsafe it is completely unlocked and open to anyone.

The staff are so unhelpful and have no clue what the they are doing and the doors don’t lock! But the pool was nice and breakfast was kinda good

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! All of the reviews are fake!!!!! My room had cigarette butts and so much dust under the bed, the hostel has a creepy airy vibe, the staff never filled the toilet paper and tried to overcharge me & other guests. There is no form of safety, anyone can walk into the hostel whenever they want, the bathrooms left a lot to desire, barely any wifi signal in the above dorms and some lower dorms. Same owner as the hostel that poisoned staff in vang vieng. The pool was dirty.

Bad hostel. The staff gives its best, but it’s dirty. Because you would suffocate otherwise, they need to always leave the dorm doors open. Even at night. Which makes it not only very unsafe but also let all the insects in. The “free breakfast” is also very bad. The location is very good and for one night it might be endurable but for longer stays? Better stay away and sleep at a different accommodation!

the reviews have to be fake as this hostel has the weirdest vibes. dorms don’t lock, the bathrooms are not at all close to the rooms and lots of random people around. as a solo female they put me in a room with only men, 2 were much older, drank beer in bed and were in and out of the rooms until 6.30am the rooms are clean and the beds are comfy, but the staff also come in to turn off the AC in the middle of the night so it’s insanely hot. wouldn’t recommend

Not sure why there’s so many good reviews. A weird vibe, no toilet paper in the toilets and it didn’t look like there really ever had been. Everything could be cleaner. Cold showers. My dorm was overbooked so someone thought I stole there bed and shook me awake in the middle of the night. Just a strange, strange vibe

This hostel was so weird, full of creepy old men, vibe felt off immediately. Staff weren’t very friendly, we just felt kinda unsafe the whole time. Room didn’t really lock, but the bed was comfy and breakfast was nice. We only stayed 1 night and were glad to leave asap the next day.

the hostel is a little overpriced for what you get but does have a good location. fyi they turn off the ac during the day in the rooms. I found it was a odd mix of families, children mixed with travellers which wasn’t the social atmosphere I was looking for overall fine

The staff are SO lovely - very accommodating and helpful. The food served is good

I loved my stay here. I think I did all the activities in the hostel 😂 and the staff were just amazing!

Staff were super helpful and there was a good range of tours available to book through the hostel. Room was nice and clean

Staff couldn’t have been better. Rooms felt brand new. Restaurant had quality food and a lot of options.

You get what you pay for, bare minimum facilities but in a good location.

Was fine for a few nights stayed. Breakfast included, laundry service. Good value for money

Was a great hostel

Stayed for a night as close to airport and they provided help getting taxi. However, the property itself was not very clean, the bathroom had ants everywhere so you couldn’t put things down without fear of being invested quickly. The dorm door also did not lock so didn’t feel very safe. The aircon didn’t work in the room either so was a sweat pit! But it did the job for one night before a flight.

No locks on door Creepy men - unsafe for solo female travellers , that staff even got involved with Staff did help us by moving rooms but we shouldn’t have to move the creepy man should have been asked to leave
