There's a Russian Israeli woman managing. She is horrible, loud, and so rude. Always yelling or playing loud videos at all day and night. And refuses to turn of bright lights late at night. I tried to close the door between the kitchen and sitting room and she yelled at me and said NO!!. I asked then if she could turn down the sound bc I was trying to take care of things she yelled its day time! Go to your bed! Planned to stay longer, left after one night. Find somewhere else.

+ Price

- The location is a bit remote, but the accommodation environment is acceptable, However, the manager/host significantly worsened the overall experience. During my first stay, the host was away on vacation, so a volunteer received me instead — that experience was fine. However, during my second stay, the host had returned, and I was met with a cold poker face and manipulative behavior. Since I had a suitcase and planned to go hiking later, I wanted to store my luggage at the hostel. The original price was 10 lari per day, but considering I would be storing it for several days, the volunteer kindly helped negotiate a discounted rate of 7 lari per day, which the host agreed to at the time. But when I checked in the second time, the host suddenly changed her tone, saying “10 lari is just the price of a cup of coffee” and justified the higher fee by claiming she would be responsible for the safety of my luggage because the hostel door is always open. Ironically, the entire hostel has no security cameras or any security measures , in fact there were frequently suspicious men peering inside from the street. One night, a strange man even walked right into the hostel and no one stopped him. Even the host herself was shocked and said she had no idea who he was. For a place that claims to be women-only, basic personal safety is already a concern — let alone luggage safety. Also, the hostel has only one bathroom, and each guest is limited to 15 minutes of use, which is fair if everyone follows the rule. However, the host herself used it for over 30 minutes. In contrast, when I went in one morning and had been inside for less than five minutes, she started banging on the door.

+ There is a kitchen where you can cook

- It is not a hostel actually, it is a group of women from countries of former USSR countries who have been staying there longer and they think that they rule the place even if they are either guests or volunteers. If you would like some peace of mind, even if it is a very cozy environment and clean, I would not recommend for a non Russian speaker to stay there more than couple of nights. It is the kind of environment that women only gossip about each other, care about other people's businesses and no sense of privacy or boundaries. Not to mention very clear racist attitude by both guests and admin. Most women are in their late 40s to 50s and some of them bother about literally everything that goes on around. Also, you can see clear racism. Olena the older admin is nice and kind. The younger admin Lena who only is around 2 days a week, very unprofessional with no idea of how hostels actually are but with an attitude of supposedly knowing. Had plenty of problems around that place with a specific guest who had issues about my Indian body oil smell because according to her it smells bad and that's how indian people smell. Then at another moment I used incense outdoors at 5pm and the smell would go inside because the room doesn't close completely and the same problematic guest went mad again. Lena the younger admin got involved, supporting the other guest by saying that they are very careful about smells, which is lying, as many women around used their perfumes and whatever smells throughout the day and late at night while people are sleeping. It felt like imprisonment basically for very idiotic things. Plenty of arguments in general between guests around that place especially due to that specific guest and they don't move their finger to kick her out.

- The living experience is here is more of attending to a very disciplined and critical girls school rather than being treated as a guest at all. You need to be self-conscious about it all the time. I Very demanding on guest to clean the bathroom, do chores on their own. Even if you do clean the shower afterwards. She would knock on the door and say she needs to use the toilet. If she finds a piece of hair or two. You will get blamed for it, despite the fact that you were interrupted by her knocking to use the bathroom. Only one toilet. Guests need to take off all the sheets from their beds, blankets, covers, pillows on their own before they leave. The toilet paper was the worst you can find. There were so many white pieces falling off from it. Never a smile. It’s very hard to sleep in quite time. The host entering the sleeping room whenever she wanted and however she wanted. The doors and the floors all get their own noises.

+ It’s super cheap, and that is reflected in what you get. The lady who runs it is very sweet. Location is around 10 minute walk from metro in a good area. Good if you want to be with ladies only.

- A bit blindsided by many of the reviews here so just wanted to leave my own experience. Hostel is like someone’s home, there is clutter everywhere haha. There is one toilet and shower for 10 girls, plus whoever else is in the house. Bunks are ok, no curtains but they have PowerPoints etc which is good. Some reviews have said this is like a brand new palace but it’s very very far from that. You are getting exactly what you pay for. Hostel not very social if you’re an English speaker either lol, an old lady told me off in Russian for leaving my shirt on table for a minute while I grab my toothbrush. I just am used to a different vibe so I left next day and went somewhere else.

There was no contact with the hostel, no one responded to my request to check-in despite my messages. Happens, but easy to improve. The host however - really strange person. Didn’t make any beds because she „doesn’t like it”. Talks behind other guests’ back. Comments on everything. Lies and brags all the time. Is also grossed out by the cats living around the property. The main door leads straight to the open kitchen and does not provide proper safety. No proper storage for luggage!

+ The host was nice and the was nice balcony

- However the kitchen and bathroom was dirty, there were hairs and other stuff in the bathroom so it was barely enough place and in the kitchen really dirty table. We got to sleep late night, but the door between beds and kitchen wasnt able to be closed properly and other guests in the kitchen was so loud and cooking and drying hair late night and it was impossible to sleep. The bed lines were synthetic. So I ask host to take care more of cleanliness and tell guests not to be loud at night and clean up after themselves because they are not alone

+ Host of the place was really accommodating and very kind. Their welcoming message is also very informative. I love that dormmates were mostly women and it feels safe. Good kitchen stuff, cooking is convenient.

- It's kind of hot especially in the summer months. There's no AC or electric fan except the kitchen area. The location is also uphill and slightly complicated but it is peaceful area.

+ Super nice hostel which is very safe. So happy to have found a women-only hostel in Tbilisi. It is managed very well, everything you need is there including a very well equipped kitchen, nice bathroom. All is taken care of very well and it’s clean. General atmosphere is nice, people are very friendly. It’s a bit far from the city centre but the neighbourhood is so nice and there is a lot of public transport around

- Pro tip: don’t hang your laundry outside to dry because it might get bird shit all over it. Learn from my mistakes ;)
