Lemon Tree Hostel Antigua

So many non- guests all day long, very noisy, old junk everywhere, sad rooms, reception usually empty, creepy people hanging around, no hot water, no kitchen, no atmosphere and lots of mosquitoes and bed bugs. Don't book this place, it's not really even a one star place.

Such a dump! The worst part is the Call Center...20-30 non-guests arrive daily at 6:30 am and take up all the seats and tables...they have zero regard for the guests who PAY!? Good luck finding anyone at reception, very noisy all day long, no bar, no restaurant, no atmosphere, no ATM, no pool, no view, no hot water, no hot water to wash your hands, no towels to dry and finally LOTS OF MOSQUITOES and bed bugs...avoid at ALL costs! 👎👎

Would give it no stars! Stayed here with a group and found BEDBUGS! So we had to wash all of our clothing which they then charged us for claiming we brought the bed bugs even though we had not even spent any time in the beds yet. They only have 4 showers for the entire place and only 1 works at a time so they really only have 1 shower with lukewarm water if you're lucky. And they take your ID as collateral if you want a stained towel to use after your shower. Another girl's laundry came back with white spots and blue stains on her clothes and an item missing and they fold all of your laundry right at the bench at the front desk so everyone can see all of it. I tried upgrading to one of the solo rooms which looked gorgeous initially but had some of the sketchiest stairs I've ever been on, the large chair was broken and there was a huge gap above the door and I got more Mosquito bites in one night than I did over my entire trip just from that room. The wifi is garbage. Also, they have aggressive little dogs that will bite if you touch them and bark and growl if you walk by. WORST hostel I've ever stayed in.
