BEWARE OF LIARS. BED BUGS. MANAGER CALLS BED BUGS DUST AND LIES. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH DISHONEST COWARDS. Response to hostel liars. -The 'upgraded room' was entered for 1 minute, untill bed bugs were found in front of your staff. So which amenities in the upgraded room did I use? This is the building across the road. So both buildings had bed bugs. More lies and no accountability. -Your own staff supervisor offered to waive the hotel fee upon first realising the bed bugs, this was directed by the coward lying owner who was advising him over the phone. To say I left without finalising any bill is a complete LIE and if that were true, please provide evidence of the manager requesting payment before I left the property, there was no attempt to request payment as even the manager knows the terrible situation I was left in at that time, will a huge inconvenience and out of pocket expenses due to the hostel bed bugs infestation. More lies. - if there were no bugs, why offer me another room next door and then again another across the road? More lies. - I have photos of the mould in the entire wet areas. More lies - I never demanded a free stay or full compensation. I very clearly explained to your manager, a free stay doesn't resolve the bed bugs infestation and then I asked, not 'demanded' if the coward owner would take responsibility and compensate me for the emergency laundry costs associated with laundrying snd decontaminating all of my belongings including shoes. More lies by mr hero hostel.. liar liar. Draco Pham.. I don’t need to trade insults — I have photo and video evidence of live bed bugs, bite marks, and mould, all dated and geotagged from the rooms. I also reported this directly to management at the time. For context, my background is in building engineering and hotel investment in Southeast Asia, so I am very familiar with proper hygiene, mould treatment, construction and pest control standards. Painting over mould and sealing it with silicone (as done here) does not remove it — it grows back. The hotel actually offered me a free stay after I raised the issues and before inspecting the other room across the road. Real feedback isn’t “slander.” It’s part of maintaining standards and protecting other travellers. Photos and videos available on request. Talk is cheap, and facts speak louder than your strange random comments. Asia may be big, but the travel community is small and well-connected — truth always surfaces. If you genuinely believe this is slander, you're welcome to have the hotel contact me formally. I keep records, evidence, and communication logs, and am confident in my position and my team. I am also prepared to share everything with the relevant authorities or legal counsel if necessary. Until then, screenshots, videos, and timestamps beat random online accusations every time. If you or the hotel believes my statements are false, they or their legal team are welcome to contact my legal representative to discuss this formally. I prefer issues like this dealt with professionally and on-record. Draco, very foolish of you..

Agent MPZ919 reviewer, your words are as cheap as your actions. Shame on you twice over. Aussie much be ashame of your action. As Texan, I’ve been here for over two weeks and personally stayed in every single room — there are absolutely no bed bugs as you falsely claimed. You clearly spread lies without proof, and that says everything about your. I heard you walked out without paying your stay, and now you dare to slander others? Shame on you. Don’t drag down your fellow Australians with your dishonest behavior — you alone are responsible for your own disgrace.

The bad (and serious): Found multiple bed bugs in my bed and pillow tonight — including visible eggs and early-stage larvae. I immediately removed all my belongings from the room and informed the staff. They offered to move me to the room next door, but I explained that a bed bug infestation easily spreads through walls and ceilings, so that wouldn’t solve anything. I requested a plastic bag for my clothes, but when we moved to the room across the road (same hotel brand) the staff did not understand that my shoes might also be contaminated and repeatedly failed to provide a bag for them until I insisted. As soon as I entered the new room I instantly found another bed bug. I showed it to him, he killed it and then denied it was a bed bug, despite my photos and clear evidence. He first acted like he understood, then switched to saying “no problem.” When I asked that the hotel at least cover my laundry costs for clothes and shoes contaminated because of their infestation, he smirked in my face and refused. Completely arrogant and unprofessional. try that with me in the gym and see how that goes, very disrespectful. Adding decorative wall panels to hide mouldy walls, or slapping silicone on areas that haven’t been properly cleared of mould, does not fix the problem — mould grows back. The bathroom walls were not painted with the correct primer/paint and the freshly painted surfaces are peeling. Hire professionals and stop trying to save money by doing it poorly — haven’t you heard the saying, “the poor man pays twice?” Bunch of amateurs. Completely disrespectful attitude and zero accountability from owner and management. This whole situation cost me hours of hassle, laundry fees for all of my clothes and shoes, finding new clothes to wear so I can laundry the clothing I was wearing and significant stress trying to prevent the infestation from spreading from 9.30pm when I first found the issue, it has taken 4 hours to resolve. I would love to get my hands on the owner. Shame on the owner and management. Other cons: Bathroom floor mat dirty with hair and dirt upon check-in. Strong mould and paint smell — clearly painted over mould instead of removing it properly. Floors not cleaned thoroughly. Small animal droppings found on the bed and wall by the bathroom. Heavy black mould throughout bathroom silicone and tile joins. Bidet hose mounted on the wrong side and bracket falling off the wall. Bathroom cups wet — clearly not washed and dried properly. Dirty slippers. Large hair found under the blanket. At 300k VND per night, the cleaning and inspection standards are unacceptable. The good: AC works well and is properly maintained. Room is spacious. Staff speak some English and are initially friendly. Location is convenient — busy area with food and shops. Large common areas with billiard tables and cafe. Bed sheets and towels looked clean upon check-in. Summary: On the surface the hotel has decent amenities and location, but it is infested with bed bugs, has serious mould and hygiene problems, and the staff and owners attitude is very ignorant, even after I tried to educate them, he shouldn't speak so confidently if he doesn't know what he's talking about. They need to hire professionals for pest control and professional builiders for mould remediation, properly train staff, and take responsibility for guest safety and costs. Until then — avoid this hotel completely. I’m a building engineer by trade, with extensive experience running and investing in hotels and hostels across Southeast Asia, so I know what proper hygiene, pest control, and maintenance should look like. If you’re searching for a clean and safe hostel in Châu Đốc, avoid this place — serious bed bug infestation. I also noticed many reviews here seem suspicious or written by people who only reviewed this place. Please check photos carefully before booking — my experience didn’t match the high ratings at all...
