Eine sehr schöne Anlage & perfekt Lage. Der Pool hat uns super gefallen & es sind nur wenige Minuten zum Nationalpark. Auch der Transfer hat einwandfrei geklappt. Allerdings hat für uns das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht gestimmt. Das Essen ist mittelmäßig & dafür leider zu teuer. Auch der Preis für die Privatzimmer ist aus unserer Sicht etwas zu hoch. Wir hatten dennoch einen schönen Aufenthalt.

Genuinely the most over hyped hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Ive paid a lot less for a lot more. Staff couldn’t care less about guests. Food prices were outrageous. If you’re going to charge so much at least make it taste good. Weird atmosphere. Rooms are filled with bugs. Just a terrible experience. Im extremely disappointed especially after hearing all the “great things” about this DUMP. Would not recommend.

I rarely leave reviews, but this stay at Greengo’s was very disappointing, to say the least. I booked two nights specifically so that after arriving early in the morning with the night bus from Antigua, I could go straight to sleep. However, when I arrived, the staff was busy with check-ins even though no other guests were there, and we were made to wait around 30 minutes before finally being shown to our room. Très bel établissement, idéalement situé, avec des parties communes agréables et bien aménagées. Le personnel est vraiment gentil et les activités proposées, notamment la bouée, sont excellentes. Attention cependant à certains points : les douches des dortoirs s’écoulent mal et attirent des insectes. Le séjour peut aussi devenir coûteux car il n’est pas possible de cuisiner. Le dortoir“Noisy”porte bien son nom (bruit, lumière, pas de rideaux). Et,pas de wifi dans les chamb...

The showers are cold 85% of the time, the doors can not be locked from the outside (dorms) so everybody can get in aT any time, the portions they Serve are tiny so that you mostly feel hungry afterwards while they charge european prices for it. And since you Don't have another Option without taking a tuktuk ride of 30min to Lanquin you are basically forced to pay these prices. The WiFi does Not work in the dorms and is rather bad at the pool, common area is always loud music playing

They completely ban your own food and they force you to eat from their overpriced kitchen, even for coffee you have to eat. The owner who lives there too intimidated his employees all the time… not a good luck for tourists

The hostel itself is great and really well equipped, it feels more like a resort. However, the owner should do some anti-aggression training. He shouts at you as soon as you say something he doesn't like, he even threatened to cancel another backpacker's shuttle because he thought he had food poisoning. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional.Before selling the cave tour, the hostel should definitely point out the parasite in the water as the side effects are pretty disgusting.

You get trapped here and forced to spend money on things you shouldn’t have to. There is no way to boil water to even make a tea, they charge you for hot water

They took my passport and held onto it which is illegal in most countries. Thats why im giving them rhe worst review possible. They gave me no other option. I tied reasoning and offering a credit card instead. This is a very bad system that they unfortunately have. Otherwise it woukd have been a nice place to stay. A little expensive but good.

we had a lot of inconveniences because of the miscommunication between the staff. they offered us a transport from lanquin to the hostel at our arrival, told us to go at the gas station, but they stopped answering. we got stuck in lanquin and had to find a random truck to go there, we found one but they tried to scammed us. we felt really unsafe. their excuses was that the person in charge is in canada so they don’t have any control ?? the same problem when we left, again non transport for us.

Super bien situé pour l’accès aux cascades, les tours offerts sont très plaisant, les employés souriants et une propreté incroyable considérant qu’on est au milieu de la jungle. Il y a aussi beaucoup de choix de nourriture, et la picsine est un gros plus!

This is such an amazing hostel in the heart of the jungle. It’s very conveniently close to all the things you might want to do (Semuc Champey) and the staff at this hostel really go above and beyond. Shout out to Louisa, she really makes this place a home. So lovely xxxx

One of The coolest Hostels i have stayed at! Super welcoming and the social vibe is perfect. Pools are amazing, view is beautiful, and semuc champey in walking distance is a huge plus!

Location is fab as it’s only a 10 minute walk to semuc champey! the 18 bed dorm is only separated by half of a wall, the rest is a mosquito net and open to the lounge area which makes the room noisy as they’re playing music nonstop at a loud volume. owner is rude to staff. some reception staff is a bit pretentious (you American dude). pool/pool bar are great. food is okay for price point and considering you have to eat there.

Really loved this hostel! Was great location, amazing pool with bar in the middle of the jungle. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Will 100% be coming back

Riesen Hostel und sehr sauber. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. 15 Gehminuten zu den Caves und den Natural Pools entfernt. Was man einplanen sollte ist, dass man im Restaurant des Hostels Essen muss, weil sonst nicht wirklich was in der nähe ist. Dafür sind die Preise aber auch okay. Würden wieder kommen

Ein Paradies im Dschungel. Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Personal ist super nett und entspannt. Man kann vom Hostel in den Park zu Fuss gehen. Stimmung im Hostel sehr entspannt und social. Am Abend gibt es verschiedene Events, keine riesigen Partys. Dem kann man aber auch gut aus dem Weg gehen. Alles sehr sauber. Der Pool wird täglich gereinigt und auch der ganzen Anlage wird Sorge getragen. Liebte auch die Hunde und Katzen dort.

You are nit allowed to bring any kind of food or drinks inside - treat the place like an airport and say its because of spiders which is obviously a lie because you can buy the same food and drinks inside and can consume them anywhere

Private A frame cabana is very basic/ rundown and needs upgrades. Paint and plaster on ceiling in rough shape. 1 outlet, 1 light bulb and 1 fan is all you get. Curtains on doors and windows are completely see through, and no screens on windows means you need to choose between sweltering heat or letting the jungle bugs in. However the pool and restaurant area are very nice and offer many places to relax. Food is a little overpriced but mostly decent. Breakfast burrito is gross mostly plain rice.

Schöne, soziale Unterkunft mit vielen Möglichkeiten. Die Common area ist groß und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das angebotene Essen ist zwar nicht günstig, aber es sind große Portionen und es ist sehr lecker. Der Poolbereich ist ebenfalls sehr schön. Die Zimmer sind bunt, es gibt keine Vorhänge, aber große Betten. Hier krabbelt auch der ein oder andere Käfer herum, aber es gibt keine Bettwanzen (wahrscheinlich bekommen einige Sandfliegenbisse vom Fluss).

I had such a good time there. Everyone was superlovely! Can highly recommend this hostel to everyone. It has such a good atmosphere.

Very clean and close to Semuc Champey. Food options overpriced and some staff were not very accommodating.

Es un lugar muy agradable, te reciben con una bebida de cortesía y si te hospedas dos noches el transporte al hostal está incluido. ¡El personal siempre fue muy amable y atento, la ubicación es perfecta para ir a Semuc, es un hostal social con diferentes actividades para conectar con las personas. Las instalaciones son muy lindas; si tienes un sueño ligero quizá el dormitorio de 18 camas no sea la mejor opción para ti porque está arriba del área social.

Goed hostel, maar niet normaal hoeveel lawaai. Een van de dorms ligt precies boven de bar. Slapen gaat hier dus niet voor 12.00

Wirklich schönes Hostel Anlage, mir fehlte die Atmosphäre. Alles ist sehr auf die Touristen ausgelegt, man vergisst hier dass man in Guatemala ist.
