Staff was kind, atmosphere was good. But me and my 2 friends were staying in a 4 bed beach, hut, bungalow. We were out all day and came back to the hostel late in the evening to go to sleep. A few minutes after getting into bed, we find a few spiders and a cockroach inside the bed. We were supposed to stay in the hostel for a total of 2 nights. But we left immediatley and went to a hotel. The morning after we noticed many (!) mosquito looking bites on our legs, all thee of us. The next day, on o...

Despite the local staff being nice, the owner or manager, a guy from Italy, was the rudest person ever. Moreover, during my stay there, only one night, electricity and water went missing 3 times: so no light, no internet, no water for most of the time. Didn't feel safe, also.

The staff there are amazing and helpful. However the property itself is very gritty. One of the worst hostel experiences I’ve had - outdoor showers & toilets, stains on the sheets, power cuts, no service in the rooms. The hostel is split between a path to the beach so you don’t feel very safe. Proximity to the beach is a huge plus but overall would not recommend this place.

Nice staff, solid food, and it’s easy to meet others. That said, facilities could use some work. It was pretty hard to sleep given the humidity in the room. I couldn’t shower one morning because the water was not working. Finally, I was sad to see my suitcase was full of bugs after my first day there

Très bon emplacement, personnel tres sympathique et très bonne atmosphère mais rapport qualité prix trop élevé, 120$ la nuit pour une chambre très basique sans eau chaude, je trouve ça trop élevé. L'auberge à côté accès mer nous avons payé 2 fois moins cher pour le même standing. Ca reste une très belle expérience.

Place is good for 1-2 nights, but the traditional huts and sand floor equals loudness from vehicles and parties and lots of bugs and mosquitos making it hard to rest well. Also small breakfast and meals are small portioned. Does not allow outside food and drink - lack of flexibility. They will not refund you for leaving earlier than your booking. Otherwise, guests and staff are good vibes.

J’ai réservé 3 nuits je ne suis restée qu’une seule. La chambre qu’on m’a donné était super bruyante, entre les corbeaux, les motos qui défilent la nuit et le générateur. Je n’ai pas fermé l’oeil. Ce n’était pas propre, car les maisons comme celles ci moisissent avec l’humidité, il y avait une très forte odeur. La moustiquaire était trouée, le matelas défoncé. The staff and extremely friendly and nice and they help you sort out everything from transport and they are very very welcoming so salute to them, however the shared bathroom experience was terrible because there is only a curtain that closes the shower and no signal in the rooms, it’s not a comfortable stay however I was in a private room, the food is amazing tho !

Positives: Friendly owner and staff. Easy walk to beach. Air condition available in private room. Challenges: for private rooms, showers are outdoor in private room that are frequented by monkeys. Mobile Data and WiFI only works in the bar area of the compound which is about 70-100 meters from the rooms. real heinz ketchup here ! social hostel , right by the beach, pretty decent breakfast too. Some staff let this hostel down - random item appeared on the bill which cecelia and the tallest guy refused to remove and made a scene . the 5% card charge feels excessive .

Great vibes and atmosphere. It’s the local watering hole. People working here are awesome

If you are looking to meet people in a warm and welcoming environment, this is the right place ! The bar / restaurant is great with great service and for Zanzibar cheap and really good This is not a fancy resort, but a backpackers place where everyone discusses between one another The rooms are clean. If you need anything you can ask the staff they are super friendly & helpful Finally the owner is a great host

Amazing hostel. I really enjoyed my stay and the staff was super nice and helpful. I loved the bar/outside/restaurant area. Only downside is that they didn’t have laundry services. Would definitely recommend this hostel over any other in paje

Fantastische dagen gehad bij Your Zanzibar Place. Personeel en alle andere mensen daar waren enorm gezellig en de locatie is echt top. Ik wil zeker nog een keer terug gaan! 🤩

Me my girlfriend and our friends had a awesome time here! We left and came back. The only problem we have is that we keep extending Haha so hard to leave ! If you're looking for a social and vibrant hostel this is the place to be!!! Also food and drinks are great!! 10/10

Had a lovely stay! The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. It was also really easy to meet other travelers—perfect for anyone exploring solo. It’s definitely the hostel with the best vibes in Zanzibar!

The staff were very kind and helpful, I felt very safe, and I met wonderful people. The hostel had a restaurant and a bar with amazing food and cocktails. They gave me contacts for activities in Zanzibar, arranged airport pickup and drop‑off. The whole hostel area had such a great vibe: sand, comfy seats, good music, hammocks, table tennis, darts, a beach volleyball court… I had an amazing time!

Amazing place to be in contact with nature. I enjoyed so much how familiar and close are the employees and the fact of being with so many local people, that made me feel so happy. felt like I was at home. It's a 10.

Lage und Atmosphäre sehr gut. Allerdings gibt es keine Saves im Raum und jeder hat Zugang zum Raum. Uns wurde Geld und Sachen aus unserem Raum geklaut während wir nur schnell etwas frühstücken bei der Hostel Bar waren.

Ein ganz tolles Hostel! Wir hatten hier eine ideale Hostel-Erfahrung mit guten Vibes und geselligen (Spiele-) Abenden. Wir haben von 3 auf 9 Nächte verlängert. Sehr freundliches Personal, das einem bei allem weiterhilft. Auch das Frühstück war lecker und es gab verschiedene Optionen zur Auswahl. Für 5,50-7€ gibt es auch leckere warme Gerichte, z.B.
