Experience Gokarna with HostelExp

The worst property I have stayed in my entire trip. Lots of mosquitoes and insects in dorms and common areas. The beds were not at all comfortable and the vibe was very dull in this hostel. Unable to sleep well in this property. Will not recommend this property at all.

It was a serene stay for us, except the part where we found red ants on our bed. We were given a different room post which the stay was okay. Something you would hate would be frequent power cuts during the day time, probably because of summer.

I have stayed a while back in Tripper and even they have cottage dorms and honestly it was a bit more cooler and it was really too hot at Hostelexp and moreover tripper is right in front of the ocean So do the math And it wasn’t that lively as I thought it would be man

Overall chill vibe, really good location. There was a lot of confusion about what rooms/beds were occupied and available. Had to move in the middle of the night my first night because I was told to sleep in a bed that taken. Toilet was having some flushing issues. Experience was quite nice regardless.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in in India. It has a huge natural outdoor space, the location is close to the city. There weren’t much other international backpackers my age but the atmosphere was nice for what it was. The last night was a bit loud due to the festival but the people were very friendly

Nice sociable spot with good open common areas & hammocks to chill in, close to the middle beach a couple of kms out of Gokarna town

The room was spacious and clean. There were activities to do like yoga and a sunrise hike, and the hostel had a large outside common area with many other things to do. The staff were kind and very helpful with any questions we had. There were several powercuts with no backup generators for the private rooms. There were also periods throughout the day without running water to have a shower. There isn’t much to do in the local area but the hostel itself is a lovely place to stay.

Really good hostel. Lovely outdoorsy setting with coconut trees and hammocks everywhere. Decent little restaurants on site. It’s 2 minute walk to main beach and loads of places to eat nearby (especially baadi for breakfast banana buns!). You need a scooter or tuk tuk to get to Om or Kudle beach etc or you can walk (approx 45 mins) Relaxed social vibe! The non AC female dorm is good but the mixed non AC gets really hot and stuffy at night is the only con.

too good. i extended for more days the same day i arrived. great vibes, relaxed, lovely people, good food, good prices, close to the beach. couldn’t ask for more.

I really enjoyed my one night stay at this hostel. The place is just a short walk from the beach and about 40 min walking into central Gokarna. Very peaceful and a great relaxed, community vibe. The reception staff and workawayers were extremely helpful, kind and courteous and the Hatha yoga class I participated in in the morning was excellent. I had a lovely masala dosa from the hostel's restaurant and it was decently priced. As a solo female traveller I felt safe and would definitely stay agai

Wifi could be better apart from that everything was good

Really good overall, staff is friendly the food is good and rooms are clean. Only one thing, we did our laundry there and it ended up not being super clean.

The location of hostel is close to the ghats. The common area is a quaint spot that feels very welcoming.
