Good location, nice staff, big kitchen, a complete bathroom just for females is there. Unfortunately there were bedbugs and my bedsheets also had some stains. One of the toilet‘s seat was missing, another toilet cabin door didn’t close correctly and also the cleanliness wasn’t quite good. The TV was running until very late at night and some beds didn’t have curtains. I stayed in the upper bunkbed where 3 beds were on top of each other and if one of my roomies turned in his bed below, the whole structure was shaking. A girl from another room was bitten by bedbugs and escaped after 2 nights.

The location is good. The hostel itself would be nice: big kitchen, a lot of space, plants and flowers It was a bedbug issue there. If someone has allergy for the bedbugs like me I don't recommend that place. I couldn't sleep there. I can understand the owners that it is difficult to solve that issue. But I also can understand the guests like me when you payed money for the rest and you didn't rest at all. So please be careful when you book this place

Staff is always happy and ready to help. Even the owner. Breakfast varies and is a good portion! Bed bugs everywhere, lot of dust and showers are so tiny that I couldn’t dress inside! They need to take a full clean up of the hostel! To kill the bugs and clean the piles of dust

L'hostel est situé dans un quartier calme et sûr. Le petit déjeuner est correct sans plus, mais dans l'ensemble cela reste un bon rapport qualité prix. Le personnel est très sympathique est arrangeant. Nous ne l'avions pas compris, mais il y a deux bâtiments à 300m l'un de l'autre, le deuxième est plus petit avec moins d'espace commun. Notre chambre dans ce 2eme bâtiment n'était pas très propre. Malheureusement nous avons trouvé des punaises de lit. Ce sont des choses qui peuvent arriver indépendamment de l'hostel, et ils ont bien réagi en nous proposant une chambre dans l'autre bâtiment. Mais nous les encourageons à améliorer la propreté (certains lits n'avaient pas de housse anti punaises). A noter que la fenêtre de la deuxième chambre était cassée et ne fermait pas (elle donnait sur les espaces communs). Ce n'est pas le meilleur hostel pour rencontrer du monde.

La propriétaire et les femmes de menage sont très sympathiques, l'emplacement est très bien. Je ne sais pas quel a été le pire entre les punaises de lit et le jeune homme qui s'occupe de l'auberge la nuit entrant dans le dortoir au milieu de la nuit.

El desayuno Fue un gran problema las camas tienen chinches no pude dormir bien estuve matando chinches toda la noche durante 2 días me picaron en todo el cuerpo y cara tengo que ir al medico porque me destrozaron la piel ronchas por todo el cuerpo y me pican.

The administrator and the people who work there are good! The bed bugs were awful. I had bites all over my body my back, arms, elbows, legs, feet, head included, I told management and they fumigated the room and I was moved to a different room but still had the same problem, so I asked for a refund. I saw bed bugs in both rooms, now a week later and I still have scars on my body from the bed bugs bites. Awful! Everything else about the hostal is ok but the bed bugs are a big problem there as I saw them and was bitten multiple times in 2 different beds. The investment of a professional exterminator would be a wise decision. I stayed there for 7 days.

Nothing BEDBUGS, PUNAISES DE LIT, CHINCHES RUN DO NOT BOOK Between the crazy French women who turned off the light from the shower when it was very clear that there was someone inside (my clothes were hanging out from the door. She then proceeded to wait two steps away from the door while I was asking her to turn the light back on and she only did it (with a smile on her face) when I opened the door half naked to do it myself) and the BEDBUGS I saw from my own eyes in two different beds from two different bedrooms on opposite side of the hostal this was truly the worst stay of my life. I was supposed to wake up early to go for a hike and I ended up staying awake seating on a bench/laying uncomfortably waiting for the dueña to arrive to get a refund and get out of there asap. She refused to pay 4000 pesos (the price they charge) for me to go and wash my clothes at a laundry place and even had the gall to tell me that I had brought the bedbugs (after telling me that they (allegedly) treated the place 2 weeks ago, lol). Completely ruined my stay in Medellín. I felt even worse once I checked the negative reviews and saw that a comment from 2023 mentioned them as well as others. This is clearly an ongoing issue. This place is unsanitary. On top of this, they ask you for a tax that isn't mentioned anywhere if you want to pay by card. The hostel from the ad is likely not the one you'll end up staying at as well. Upon arrival they told me "Ah no you're in the other house" as if that house had been mentioned anywhere (it hadn't). So you end up paying for a completely different place. The showers (including one that closes with a simple curtain) and the toilets are within ear and arm length of the living space which gives absolutely no space for privacy. Todo, el alojamiento es muy bueno en general. Chinches!!!!! Me picaron horrible 😞. Es lo único que motiva mi baja calificación.

Seems the hostel is full when I arrived, so I stay in Gaston 2 that could be booked on Booking App also. So, below comments is for Gaston 2 FYI. Located in a quiet and safety area, close to the metro, very easy to eat and shopping. This is not a social hostel, which is my favorite part, it's quite peaceful. If you are not party animal, you would like to stay here. Well, bed bugs exist. Some guests don't have this issue, but I have, guess I'm not lucky.

We started in Gastón 1 but were put in a room with no windows so we moved to Gastón 2. I preferred Gastón 2 as it was quieter and had better wifi. The woman who runs the place was incredibly kind and friendly. The location is good if you are looking for somewhere local and laid back, and it's easy enough to get to travel to other parts of the city on the metro. I do have to mention that they were fumigating Gastón 1 for bed bugs while I was there, because a number of people had a lot of bites.

El Wi-Fi funcionaba bien El lugar estaba limpio El servicio de lavandería fue rápido Llegamos y nos querían ubicar en una habitación de 10 cuando habíamos reservado de 6. Esa habitación era muy pequeña y por ende un poco olorosa con 10 personas allí! Tuvimos que preguntar por una habitación privada. Por suerte había una disponible y no era muy costosa así que fuimos por esa opción. La cama que salía debajo de la otra cama no tenía espacio suficiente para abrirse ampliamente, un 30% de la cama quedaba debajo porque la habitación era muy pequeña. Una muchacha apareció toda picada por chinches, recomiendo revisar la cama antes de acostarse por las dudas

Rien Attention, punaises de lit !! Chinches ! Bedbugs ! A fuir!! De plus ,le personnel est si peu aimable..on dirait qu on les ennuie quand on leur demande qq chose. Et l hôtel est bruyant.. Bref, a éviter à tout prix !
