Mapache Hostel

Awful- cockroaches in the toilet, security was a flimsy bike lock and staff were quite rude when we said we had an early check out not worth £40 a night at all

Left after one night - The dorm was not how it looked in the photos - the lockers were rusted to the point they were not secure, the curtains only went around one side of the top bunk so when the door was open to the dorm (which was always) everyone could see into my bed, and the room was filthy - there were blood stains on my sheets and the room was generally filthy - do not recommend!!

Definitely would not recommend staying here - stayed one night then moved elsewhere. Dorm is dark, in desperate need of a refurb, and looks nothing like the photos. For example there are no lockers under the bed but some old rusty ones that hardly even fit a mini rucksack. Activities were lacking, facilities are tired, sheets were stained, WiFi only worked sometimes. Positives are good location and people working there seemed nice. So confused by positive reviews as it was so disappointing.

Er waren veel privé kamer, en maar 2 gedeelde kamers van elk 6 personen. Iedereen was erg op zichzelf. Indien je aan het soloreizen bent en graag contact hebt met anderen zouden wij het niet aanraden. Ook mocht er overal gerookt worden, dus kan je je ontbijt soms happen met rook. Verder is vooral Barbara van de receptie enorm vriendelijk en de locatie dicht bij het strand!

Franchement un peu nul. Sanitaire et douches sans eau la plupart du temps. Tipi minuscule. Pas d'ambiance et interdit de ramener des bières persos. Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c'est même à Holbox. A mon avis et celui d'autres voyageurs bonnes notes car une boisson offerte si on écrit une évaluation devant eux.

We liked our stay very much. The atmosphere was great and we stayed for five nights. For every night we got more and more bites. Unfortunately we just found out that it is bites by bedbugs :(

Wir haben in einem der 6 Tipi Zelte geschlafen. An sich sehr süss gemacht. allerdings ist es extrem laut, da alle anderen Zelte dkrekt angrenzend daran sind sowie auch die Strasse. Zudem hatten wir dke Gerüche des Abwassers von der Toilette direkt um die Ecke und somit auch im Zelt. die Matratzen waren recht unbequem und wir sind jeden morgen mit Rückenschmerzen wach geworden. es gibt auch nicht viel Platz um seinen Koffer auszubreiten. für 1-2 nächte passt es. alle waren sehr nett, Lage gu...

Endroit avec un staff hyper cool qui participe vraiment a toutes les acgivites; presque plus une guest house qu’un hotel. Le staff est majoritairement mexicain, ça change un peu des autres hostels, pour le mieux. Belles rencontres, ambiance tres familiale.

À premier coup ça n'a l'air de rien. Mais tout le charme de ce petit hostel réside dans les hôtes qui l'animent et qui l'habitent. Si tu veux une ambiance bohème, tranquille, familiale: cette place est faite pour toi!

This was such a cute place! I loved that we basically lived outside. We stayed in one of the huts and it was bigger than I thought. Also the people working there were lovely. Loved it!

Het is een prima hostel, rustig, wat weinig activiteiten. Als je in de nacht buiten slaapt (tent of tipi) is er veel geluidsoverlast van honden uit de buurt. Oordoppen zijn echt nodig.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff and volunteers are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with any request. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, which makes you feel at home right away. I can totally recommend this place and would definitely come back!

The shower was not working and I was mid shower, which can happen. Just the staff was so rude about it because her boyfriend was there and I had to interrupt her and she was so annoyed and did not help me.

Nice budget friendly Hostel. The staff is amazing, kinda hippie vibes though. Genesis was really sweet! Another receptionist who just started working there when I was checking out was super cool and open minded. It's nice to have a chat with them

Great location (5 min to beach and center), Dorms are well designed to put all your stuff without blocking things, beds are comfy. Daily activities, which are not really promoted though (there is a whatsapp group but no one uses it). Would stay again

Very chill hostel. Activities are kinda all over the place but the staff / volunteers are kind. Really good beds in the 6 bed dorm best sleep in mexico

Un séjour vraiment incroyable dans ce petit camping ! Le personnel est très aidant à l’écoute, souriant et créer une ambiance très conviviale ! Très proche de la plage, super pour prendre le temps . El ambiente es lo mejor!! Todos muy lindos te hacen sentir en casa, los desayunos muy ricos y la chica muy amable, las actividades muy dinámicas y diferentes! Sin dudarlo me quedaría ahí siempre que venga a la isla

Me encanta este hostal, se siente como un hogar fuera de casa, el desayuno es delicioso, el lugar es bonito y se respeta el horario de silencio, además el staff es siempre muy amable y tienen muy buen ambiente :)
