Location is good. The hostel itself is incredibly dirty. You can see it in the photos. My bedsheets had yellow stains and hair all over it. The lovely woman at the receptionist was very friendly and gave me fresh sheets when I talked to her about it. However, the amount of dirt and dust was disgusting. I want to share a terrible experience I had trying to check in at this hostel at 2.30am~ Wednesday morning. Good staff service! This is more a party hostel, so week-end nights are loud. Also, the kitchen isn’t ideal for cooking all your meals, mostly just for basics. The girls bathroom has a separe key to access it, so it felt quite safe. The neighborhood is a bit rough, but the hostel is near the harbour and easily accessible by train.

A very old and pretty rundown hostel that needs renovation. 1st floor rooms are terrible w noise from loud bar below until 1am. Changed room to 2nd floor which was better. (Thank you, Alberto for changing my room). No reading lights or plugs for each bed, just one overhead room light. 1st floor showers are very nice and modern, 2nd floor showers need updating. No breakfast. Gastown is nice during the day but I would not recommend this area at night. Not sure why this was so favorably rated ???

Stayed here during my Work & Travel stay in Vancouver and honestly had a really great experience. The manager was super friendly and genuinely helpful — he even helped me with finding jobs and a room in Vancouver which I really appreciated as someone new to the city. The atmosphere downstairs in the bar is very chill and social, but what surprised me most was that on the second floor you can barely hear any music at all, so sleeping was never a problem. Decent hostel, and it was really nicely located! It's certainly old (has character), and a little pricey, but the convenience of the location plus the benefits a private room and bathroom was worth it. Definitely cheaper than the hotels! Nice bar/restaurant on-site, too. I could seeit getting loud on weekends, though. Needs a deep-clean soon- some distant mold in the shower and dirty corners, but hey. It's an old building.

The staff is nice and the location is alright, definitely downtown. Earplugs can help with most of the street noise I don’t think of myself as a super picky person with most things however the bathrooms are just… gross. The showers are dirty and mold all down the seal of the door. There’s no where to dry off or change in there without having to flash someone and the sink/toilet area look like no one has cleaned them in a day or two. good location but felt generally a bit dirty, especially the kitchen. Generally an older male demographic, especially in the mixed dorm. The bar attached had lots of events and cheap drinks.

I’m surprised by the higher ratings. It’s bordering the downtown east side - not necessarily a deterrent to everyone but if you are a woman and/ or travelling solo, you should be aware when booking. The beds also had no privacy curtains, or outlets and shelves near the bed. There was a bad odour around the kitchen so not ideal to hang out or cook in. The showers were super small and didn’t offer any space to get changed in private. Overall, served its purpose but not much more.

El hostel está arriba de un bar de la misma empresa.. imposible dormir ni con tapones hasta la 2 am.... Si te gusta la joda, este es tu lugar... Si solo vas a desmayarte para al otro día levantarte temprano definitivamente este no es tu lugar para parar....

Overall the hostel served its purpose. Rooms were warm, quiet and well equipped. Issues were around the hot water not being reliable, lack of space in common/cooking areas, constant smell of cleaning products and run down facilities, unable to open windows etc. Curtains on beds and more cooking utensils would be a big plus.

You get what you way pay for but all in all it was pretty good my bed was clean front desk was great thankfully I’m a heavy sleeper so the music didn’t really bother me

Just stayed here for the night but had a very enjoyable stay. The atmosphere is great. They keep the place pretty clean for the amount of people coming and going there. Comfy beds and rooms feel secure as they’ve put in a good amount of effort to adding locks to all entrances. Also special shout out to Jose at the front desk! He was super helpful, friendly and welcoming. Absolute legend!

I have to say I was very disappointed. You pay for everything, from towels to the washing machine. I stayed a month and they only gave me clean sheets once (because I asked). I also noticed they don't change or wash the blue blanket, like when they make the beds for new arrivals, they just change the sheets and put the blanket back on top ( that's pretty nasty). I found dirty crusts and lots of hair on the blankets. Not to mention the bathrooms especially the one on the first floor, but I won't ...
