Lola's House

Beds each had a fan, you could not turn the fan on because it was covered in dirt and dust (right above your pillow, not nice). Staff were rude and didn’t let us keep our bags in the baggage area once we checked out (even though we were told we could). When we checked in we weren’t given a key to our room had to rely on others to let us in. This meant we couldn’t lock the door. The beds were rock hard. Didn’t had a good stay, the staff was a bit lazy, I had to pay for renting a towel, the food made me sick, and I gave my clothes for cleaning and laundry and I didn’t received back some of them.

We paid 12 dollar each to get on a bus to catba. Normally it will take you 1 hour and we did it in 4 hours. We were put in a bus with locals, normally that wouldn’t be a problem if we paid for that. Huge s**m hostel don’t go here. Surely ruined everything we had planned that day.

Really not a great experience here, the location isn’t great and the hostel itself has no atmosphere. The food wasn’t good and the rooms are pretty basic.

Hostel was okay, however be careful when booking tours here in our case the transport was not included anymore when we needed it :(

Føyes veldig møkkete både på badet og sengene og generelt området på hostellet. Vi ble møtt av et litt surt personalet, men det varierte veldig og noen ganger var de veldig hjelpsomme. Det er ikke likt bildene og føler ikke det passer under navnet «fancy». Lokasjonen er det som gir dette hostellet et plus. Det ligger ikke langt unna stranda og rett ved fata med alle restauranter:)

Receptionist extremely rude and unhelpful

Goedkoop hostel, maar zeker geen aanrader. Dit was veruit onze slechtste accomodatie gedurende onze 3 weken vakantie. Toen we 's avonds terugkwamen lag er iemand anders in 1 van onze bedden is onacceptabel.

A few good points and quite cheap. But I do have to say that my private room had no light working so I was in the dark during the night. I also got bed bugs bites after sleeping there one night. They are aware of the light issue as I’ve spotted a few reviews about this already. I could not flag the bed bugs bites though, I noticed the bites after checking out.

Nous n'avons pas eu beaucoup de chance: ampoule de la sdb ne marchait pas, tout comme ma wifi. Eau chaude à peine suffisante pour une douche sur deux . Point positif: le petit déjeuner est bon !

This hostel was such a lovely place to stay especially after the loop. We got in at 3am and had no problem quickly checking in. It was in a great location just a 3 minute drive from the beach! Andrew, the manager, was absolutely incredible and extremely helpful with recommendations and booking tours/buses and he is also a lovely guy sit and chat with! I also have to mention how great the food is at the hostel i definitely recommend trying it out and listening to Andrews recommendations :)

Andrew is the best and so nice he also magaged to get me a Scooter and a cheap Bus Ticket back to Hanoi. Had a great time there and Im sure it’s the best hostel in Ha Long!

I stayed here for 5 days and it was truly awesome! The staff was amazing the whole time. They helped me with anything I needed and the food was super good and very well priced! Would definitely recommend staying here!

We got a very soft landing after a long drive and a tiring day, we had a little problem with the booking on arrival but it had nothing to do with the hostel (problem on site). The staff are always so nice and ready to help which is a huge relief to just feel like you can turn to someone for anything you need The owner (Andrew) helped me and my friends book a bus to cao bang and even helped us book the cao bang loop for a good price and the loop is also just amazing. Would 100% come again.

This city was super quiet while I was there, not much to do or things going on. The owner andrew was the highlight of my stay in Ha Long. Down to earth, kind respectful guy. Takes care of his guests and makes an effort to get to know everyone. Offered to take us to an underground bar where the locals hang out. Facilities were clean, bed was a bit stiff but what can you do. Overall would stay here again for sure

This hostel was so friendly and accommodating, Andrew what a man, got everyone together to go for food and a few drinks, met great people and played fun games. Andrew also took us to a beautiful beach for the day as well, great staff very good service, the food was great, my partner would highly recommend the burger and the Vietnamese food was good too. Highly recommend this home stay :) Josh and Christie x

wow! rooms were clean, airy, and so comfortable. andy was amazing. invited me over to chat it up w some ppl the first night and helped me booked my tours for a very good price. you will be well taken care of here and you will feel right at home. even after i left, the staff were willing to help me book the ha giang loop tour for such a good price!! highly recommend

Absolutely adored this hostel. Probably one of my favourites for south east Asia!!! The facilities are so good for such a good price. Special thanks to Andrew who absolutely made our experience. Never felt so welcomed and taken care of in a hostel. Lolas is a must stay !!!!

Staff was amazing, Andrew was an amazing host, took us to the bars and let me borrow cash for drinks. The culture in the hostel was so fun and I met some really cool people. I had a clean private room with a friend at a great deal. Andrew also helped us book transportation to Hanoi. Definitely recommend!

The food at Lola's was fantastic, and the free breakfast was great! I booked the day tour of Ha Long and it was good fun. Laundry service was good. Lockers in room, I used my own lock on the locker but think you can ask for one. Chill vibes in the hostel.

De mensen zijn hier zo gezellig en aardig! Ze bieden heel veel diensten hier aan, zoals activiteiten, maar ook vervoer naar andere plekken!! Het restaurant hier is ook super lekker! Super leuke plek!🫶🫶😁😁

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in on my travels mainly down to the hostel manager Andrew. Absolute legend. Have drinks with him and get him to give you recommendations. You won’t be disappointed!!!!

Felt like I was at home. Met an amazing group of people and host is warm and welcoming. A nice mix of relaxation and party.
