Anata Hostel

Had money stolen from my wallet whilst I was in the shower. The only other person around was housekeeping, as it was the middle of the day. I told reception who showed me CCTV, and the only place that isn’t filmed is the area outside the room I was staying in… Would absolutely not recommend staying here, the bathroom facilities are grim, “Free Breakfast” isn’t included, and there is no atmosphere.

Hostel is ok but the security is terrible. I was told I could leave my stuff in their storage room whilst I went to Uyuni (was not told to hand any valuables in at the desk which is apparently what should happen) during which my iPad was stolen from my backpack. When I spoke to the staff about it they were so unhelpful, and mid way through our conversation said ‘oh I should probably go and lock it (storage room) now actually’. I wasn't a fan of this hostel, there were no lockers in the rooms at all and also no keys for the door so anyone can go in your room and access your things. Also be aware breakfast isn't included you have to pay extra and there is not a kitchen to use there is just a worktop with cutlery and hot water. This hostel was different to what I expected

I don’t suggest getting your laundry done here as they lost one of my items. The lady at the front desk never apologized and blamed it on me for using their external laundry service. Extremely rude, which is unfortunate because the man that was at the front desk the night before was great. I don’t suggest staying here just because of the poor service and communication. They also didn’t have any locks on the doors or lockers for bags.

The hostel was ok located and clean but: the breakfast was very poor, there was no kitchen, and the bed did not have a fitted sheet but just a normal sheet, so it kept on slipping and moving during the night.

The accommodation is not badly located, but you have to walk very steeply uphill from the main road on the way back. If you have problems with altitude, this can be very exhausting. The kitchen is very poorly equipped. The bed linen is not changed. It is rather difficult to make contacts, as the hostel does not have much of a social area. The staff are very friendly and help with everything, and they also have good English skills.

The room was definitely not what it looked like in the pictures! We had our room right under the roof and we couldn’t even stand upright in the bathroom. The breakfast was super basic (even for the milk in your coffee you had to pay extra).

Ik had een privékamer geboekt. Deze kamer was zeer basic en koud. De badkamer was veel te klein en de douche was afgesloten met een gordijn, maar toch werd heel de ruimte nat. De ligging was in een rustige, mooie straat. Het ontbijt was goed, maar de ontbijtruimte was heel koud en daardoor ongezellig.

Das Zimmer roch muffig und lag direkt am Treppenhaus. Es war sehr laut. das Fenster war winzig und war auf Höhe eines Dachs. Ich habe mich sehr unwohl gefühlt und habe jede Nacht schlecht geschlafen. Mir wurde ein Busticket verkauft, aber die falsche Abfahrtszeit mitgeteilt, zum Glück zu früh. Andere hatten auch Bustickets, die waren aber nicht bestätigt und sie sind nur durch Glück mitgenommen worden.

It was a good hostel, easy and decent value, everything was a walk away, 20mins to the Witches Market, 35mins into Central- but it was in a good, safe location. On the colder side even though they provided you with a little radiator

Die Rezeptionistin Berta isg ein Schatz!! Bin leider ausgeraubt worde und sie hat mir so viel geholfen! Frühstück war toll und auch sonst alles sauber und man konnte viele aktivitäten direkt im hostel buchen.

A nice chill hostel, lovely terrace with view and other spaces to chill out. Helpful staff, nice breakfast included, hot showers. Easy to meet people but not a party hostel and very quiet at night.

Hostel très sympa, seul problème : il ne pèse pas le linge devant avant de vous le prendre pour le laver. J’ai dû payer pour 3kilos alors qu’il en avait clairement moins.

I recommend this hostel. Super clean, Has a gorgeous rooftop overlooking the city. Breakfast was amazing! Great security and they let me leave my bags there. Doesn't have a kitchen which is fine and in my private room you can hear the floorboards upstairs as it's an old building so I didn't have thr best sleeps. It wasnt very social ehen i was there but lots of chill out common areas so has lots of potential to be

A really nice vibe, with comfortable beds and lots of seating areas. An especially nice rooftop deck with a great view of the city! Doesn’t have a fully equipped kitchen, but breakfast is tasty.

Anata Hostel est vraiment un endroit où on se sent bien à La Paz. Miguel et Jess sont super arrangeants, toujours là pour aider. J’ai adoré mon séjour là-bas. En bref, je recommande vivement !

Anata hostel is een hele fijne plek waar leuk en behulpzaam personeel werkt!

Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Beautiful historic building with ample shared indoor and outdoor space, including a rooftop terrace. Extremely kind and welcoming staff. Cash only. Rooms are not heated and windows are quite drafty, but there are plenty of blankets. The hot water heater was ancient, inconsistent, and had water leaking through the control switches— kind of scary. No shared kitchen facilities besides a sink and dishes.

Great location, friendly staff. Private rooms have everything you need. The dorm rooms don’t have enough lockers for everyone so I did worry about my bags being left out when I wasn’t in the room.
