Wake Up Hostel

Goed: - Ruime comfortabele privékamer - Warme douches Minder goed: - WiFi werkt vaker niet dan wel - Ontbijt heel karig (droog broodje jam en koude koffie of thee) - Badkamers ruiken naar riool en zijn onpraktisch ingedeeld (geen haakjes) - Personeel spreekt geen Engels - Weinig sfeer

Location is good but so much stuff stolen. Heard quite often that items are missing and staff really didn’t care at all. Also bathrooms are disgusting and only 5 for the entire hostel. Also so so loud.

First, the good: the beds and bedding are comfy and the hostel is not too loud. The bad: the bathrooms were absolute disgusting the whole time I stayed here. The floors were always wet, sinks were covered in shaving clippings, toilets were left clogged, used toilet paper overflowed from the bins because they weren't changed for days, foul smelling water dripped from the bathroom cielings. I felt physically sick when I had to use the bathroom. Also, the breakfast is 1 bread roll which is a joke

Privateroom Wake-Up has one foto of a privateroom, which was the reason to book(large, window). The frist room, that girl there showed me, was a hole behind a door, downstairs. Something I may even except, if the price goes down then, though she hasn't said anything like :"...the room, which is usually for that price, isn't available. Her first words were: "Your Identity please!", like in a military camp. Without asking to see, the hole would have been my place..

it was ok, but not more. bed where clean but mattresses are very saggy. Bathrooms are dirty, broken, locks like nobody cares. location is in the city center, thats great.

Hostel simply exists. Would not recommend because: - expensive laundry - constant traffic noise from busy road - location close to witches markets, however recommend stay on witches market road, much quieter. - strong smell of diesel exhaust fumes present in hostel on regular basis, even when in bed on the third floor. - cramped dorm rooms - no kitchen - rude staff (except 1 girl helpful with tour) - wifi signal poor - bathroom doors don’t lock - no atmosphere

Only positive thing about hostel is the two very sweet ladys at reception, + location. The hostel constantly have this smell of poop. Showerdoor was so rotten it fell apart. Not all bathrooms had soap/toiletpaper. Man at breakfast is treating the food like it's his own money and refuse to give you a second bread, the lady would offer second. One night the man at reception locked himself into the room, turned on the lights and asked all girls for their names, wich was weird and uncomfortable.

Booked a private room - happens to be located in the basement, no windows in the room, no aeration, resulting in a humid/moldy atmosphere. Shower is rustic but water is hot. Well located in historic center. Front desk people are really nice. Does the trick given the price but not for more than 1 night for sure.

The hostel was a bit shady; dirty shared bathrooms, weird smell etc. The rooms were more or less ok, but based on what I have gotten with this money (or less) in other hostels, I was a bit disappointed.

Not a bad hostel but I had a lady go through my bag and steal all my money so if you value your property I would advise going elsewhere

perfect location right in the middle of La Paz. Huge private room. Breakfast was ok. Staff super helpful with getting us a taxi booked to the bus station. Only negative is the bathrooms are not too clean

we stayed here 3 different times between excursions around Bolivia and loved it!! This was the comfiest bed of all the hostels we stayed at. They were very accommodating and helpful when we arrived at 3am. great location within walking to great restaurants and lots of shops. Would highly recommend.

Les casiers sont tous en bas ( il y a 3 étages) et les douches d’en bas sont pas top top. Mais le reste est cool. Le personnel est super gentil

A really great hostel, I kept extending my stay and returning after visiting other places around La Paz. The dorms are spacious, beds are comfy and the staff is really nice. They offer a simple free breakfast, which is nice but not really a sufficient meal. The one thing that I don't like is that they play music all day in the common areas. The music wasn't too loud but I would prefer to have some common space that was quiet.

A nice chill hostel. There’s no outdoor space so for someone who likes to have a smoke or go outside it was not ideal. Not much of an atmosphere but if you want to chill out it’s good spot

Definitely the best option in la Paz if you don’t want a party hostel! Perfect location, calm rooms, good breakfast, bathrooms not always perfectly clean but totally fine, fairly priced

The staff were so helpful and friendly. They really couldn’t do enough for us! We stayed in a private room and it was very spacious with comfy bed and great value for money. The breakfast was good, eggs and bread with jam and butter, tea and coffee. Bri who works at the hostel selling tours and giving any info about the local area is very helpful and knowledgeable. We appreciated her help with booking things and all her recommendations. Thanks Wake Up Hostel!

Me encantó. La ubicación es perfecta cerca de todo, se puede ir andando a casi todas partes. Habitaciones grandes, camas cómodas y el personapersonal encantador

Super emplacement, équipe chouette et lieu plutot agréable!

Had a nice stay here, the private room we stayed in was big and spacious. The staff were very nice and helpful. The included breakfast was good too. The internet was a little intermittent and the bathrooms could have been cleaner.
