+ The eye opening experience. I learned that this is not the current place where I want to spend any of my valuable time. Be it business or pleasure. I am so glad that I didn't stay there again.

- I don't know why the staff only let me stay one night, she said book one more night need a proof of flight ticket. ridiculous, even yha hostel let us stay for 2 weeks. very unfriendly reception.

+ I WOULD like if booking.com made it so that BEFORE booking, I know what are the critical rules for me to stay there or not. They should have to inform this for the potential guest, otherwise take off their property so time is not wasted.
- **THEY DENIED ME STAYING THERE** 1) No info in booking.com ad about needing to be nonlocal traveler 2) I am technically not an LA resident AND traveling (could have shown a bus ticket even). I'm not to say what is a valid reason to deny me staying or not, it could have been about any reason (even if was racist, sexist, selfsist, whatever), my main beef is that it was not shown BEFORE I booked. I would have simply chosen another hostel and only wasted a MINUTE of my time to scroll through this listing (rather than HOURS of my time). 3) Girl at the frontdesk handled my situation very poorly, didn't even try to help me, and should have been, should be more understanding rather than "need to follow the rule otherwise I'll get fired" b.s. she gave me. 4) Moe (the owner) texted me we would speak on the phone a week later about this horrible experience, but he stopped responding to me when I tried to reach him at that time.

We arrived at 8 AM and there was nobody available to help. We were told to return at 11 AM, but then informed that check-in was only at 3 PM. When we came back, the employee leaving his shift was rude and left another worker alone who did not know how to process the payment or complete check-in. We waited almost 30 minutes while she tried to figure everything out. The hostel seemed clean, but the staff experience was very disappointing and unprofessional.
Some staff were not very helpful, kind or capable and some were lovely and proactive, luck of the draw. The environment was cold and antisocial, very uncomfortable, and the rooms were so cramped I had nowhere to put my things except next to my bed and was met with passive aggressive stickers on my belongings. The place had an extreme number of rules and $10 charges for breaking these rules, one of them being that you can’t flush toilet paper? (Gross).
Location is very convenient public transportation and grocery shopping, restaurants , fast food all in a walking distance i really enjoy my stay at the rumi the atmosphere is cozy homie the room and common area are clean it felt safe. they have seats inside and the cutest seats outside , the staff are very kind and helpful Great stay always!
The beds are really loud and squeaky in the women’s 6 bed room besides that great stay.
Great spot wonderful staff cant ask for much for the supercool.

+ Location was only a few blocks from the theatre, was a GREAT value, and got to room with others going to the same show. Will definitely come back for future events!
- Desk was empty when I arrived to check in, but they came out after ten or twenty minutes. Honestly that was the only problem; once they got me checked in, everything else was great!
Wrote several emails and text messages to the provided addresses about late check-in, but none was replied to. Got a page of my bed and door codes info and it was all JavaScript codes so I don’t know what that is. I had to stay at the public area the whole night.
Great stay, cozy place. Parking is really tough if you’re trying to snag a spot nearby. Clean and welcoming, would definitely stay again.

The AC is not functioning, and the room is around 80°F, which makes it very uncomfortable. Also, the bunk beds are low quality—whenever someone moves, the whole bed shakes. In addition, one of the roommates left at 5 AM and turned on all the lights, which disturbed others’ sleep. I suggest setting clearer house rules to minimize disturbances.
