Jaisalmer Toffu Safari

Property is not well maintained. The equipment were falty in the washrooms. The electric current was there if we tried to switch on the geyser. If guests want to take shower, freezing water is available!! The owner was friendly at first, but looses his interst once we didn't take any additional tour packages from him.

I personally would have enjoyed my stay much more if the owner wouldnt have been so controlling. He constantly made me feel uncomfortable by pushing me to something, not listening and twisting my words. In the end he tried to s**m me by putting more stuff on the bill that I actually consumed and pushed me to give a good review (otherwise he would’ve made me pay for additional services he offered me for free). You can do the safari he offers (2500r) without staying there, which I recommend.

What I liked was that they have a nice rooftop. But other than that I wouldn’t recommend the place. Toffu can be genuinely nice but he is also very pushy selling his camel safari. I mean endless pitches for it even after saying no. He also gives different prices for the safari to different customers and then asks not to discuss the prices with other people staying at the hostel which just made me feel uneasy. Didn’t feel I could trust him. The room was dirty and the paint was falling off.

Beware the price listed on the website for this place is only if you are purchasing the Safari that the owner will try to sell to you, even if you tell the owner you are tired and need time to think about it, even if its 4 am in the morning. If you value your privacy then avoid this place, the owner barged into our room and was trying to snoop into our bags. In the morning he tried to edit the the website listing and show it to us to make some more money after destroying our few hours of sleep.

If you are travelling to Jaisalmer, avoid booking any kind of Safari hostels, go with a reputed hotel. Description that you might see on the booking page here, might be completely different from reality. Specially this place, triple check while booking.

STAY AWAY! after an exausting journey, they still tried to talk me into a shopping trip to the classic tourist scam shops. the restaurant was not good either. The wifi is pretty inconsistent and you have to place your keycard in a cardreader in the hallway wich means that everybody can just switch your electricity off. Moreover the AC only did approximately 17°C and every morning I was woken up by loud discussions or insta reels because the doors are not soundproof at all. Safari was good

Weird communication with the owner of the hostel. Stayed in a dorm and random people who were not even sleeping in the dorm were allowed to chill in the room with the excuse that they were waiting for the safari. Wouldn’t care that much in general but there were not even lockers to lock your valuable things.

Clean rooms and always really hot water available! The restaurant on the rooftop and the different desert safari tours are also worth considering.

Wir waren hier für eine Nacht, bevor es in die Wüste ging. Wir haben kaum andere getroffen und haben uns nicht wohlgefühlt. Es ist bicht vorgefallen, aber das Bauchgefühl sagte uns nach der Safari lieber das Hostel zu wechseln. der Hosteleigentümer war zwar nett, aber auf komische weise aufdringlich und unangenehm. wussten sein verhalten nie richtig zu deuten.

Hostel well located, staff helpful. But no hot water to shower ourself. So I won't recommand it.

Superbe hotel avec des belles chambre privée vraiment très agréables et pas cher. Nous avons également fait le safari avec eux, très belle expérience, nous avons super bien mangé et beaucoup rigolé avec Rosa.

Lovely stay, there was hot water in the shower and clean towels. The bed was super comfy and the room was visually very nice. There were a few cotton buds on the floor from the previous guest so cleaning could have been improved but it didn’t feel dirty. One staff member was really friendly and made us feel very safe as two female travellers. We went on the safari with Roza, he is really friendly and knowledgeable and we had an amazing time! The hostel’s location is truly perfect — just a short walk from both the market and the fort, which made everything very convenient for us.What we loved the most, though, was the camel safari and desert camping experience. Our guide, Roza, was absolutely wonderful. He drove us deep into the desert, where we set up camp for the night. The Toffu safari is cheap and best...real value for money. The room was neat and clean and also the management was too responsible and trustworthy. If you are travelling to Jaisalmer then this hostel is a no brainer.

Amazing hostel experience. The owner, Toffi, was incredibly helpful from start to finish. He not only helped us organise an unforgettable desert safari, but also assisted with booking train tickets and gave great local advice. The hospitality was next level and really made our stay stress free and memorable. Would 100% stay again and recommend to anyone visiting.

Brilliant hostel, can't recommend enough. Toffu is an amazing host, extremely accommodating and friendly. he helped book train tickets back to Delhi and arranged our tour without a problem. The tour itself was extremely well organised, would recommend going via the hostel for that too.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, with a welcoming atmosphere and great attention to detail. The staff were outstanding: kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. A special mention goes to Toffu, who is an incredibly gentle and caring person, always attentive to guests’ needs, and who speaks Italian very well in addition to English. He truly made our stay even more pleasant and personal. I can’t wait to come back.

Very nice hostel with great rooftop. Camel safari is top class and highly recommended, you get about an hours camel ride, and sleep on the sand dunes under the stars. Staff are very friendly in the hostel and on the safari.

War insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Wir können sehr empfehlen die Wüsten Safari über dieses Hostel zu machen. Dann kommt man an ein sehr abgelegenen Teil der Wüste und Rosa (der Guide vor Ort) ist toll. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterasse ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Vor dem Hostel erreicht man auch super fussläufig das Fort. Klare Empfehlung!

This is a must go in Jaisalmer, we rented two private rooms for an exceptional price. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The staff are really friendly and timely with the rooms. Theres a rooftop cafe with a breathtaking view of the fort, the food and coffee were all great. We booked the desert safari through the hostel at a great price. Roger, our guide was honestly the best, we were so well looked after and its a trip ill never forget. Please get yourself to this hostel.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt bei Toffu Safari! Besonders gefallen hat uns die Dachterasse von welcher man einen tollen Ausblick hat ! Das Hotel ist super gelegen und man ist fußläufig im Ford

i arrived at the property after spending all night on a bus and when i arrived very early in the morjing and was due to go on a desert safari in tbe afternoon the manager allowed me to have a shower in a vacant room and charge my devices. The safari was an amazing experience with your guide Roja, felt like a real desert experience. the hostel was clean and tidy and hot water was always available which is a big plus especially in winter months. all in all would dwfinitely recommend this place

Really good hostel - great value for money on private rooms with en-suite, and Toffu tours were brilliant with Rogar and the rest of the team. Highly recommend
