Island Hostel Budapest

I had a terrible experience at this hostel. The service was extremely poor and the staff was rude with a dreadful atmosphere. It looked nothing like the photos; it was small and far from clean. The bed was also uncomfortable. It was so bad that we chose to leave and forfeit our money rather than stay in such a place. Overall, it was a disappointing stay and not worth the money. I would not recommend it to anyone.

The staff was pretty rude and asked many questions about my personal details. My mother's full name??? Where am I going after checking out of this hostel?? Why I am here, my address, and many things. Also, the rooms and beds were stinking so badly that I decided to sleep on the duvet, hoping that the duvet covers were clean. There are so many options in Budapest, pick one of those!

We had a good time, we liked the kitchen and the room was fine. The location was good and the staff was really nice too. Sadly we only had cold water in the shower and the room could have been a little cleaner (dust, etc..). Overall we had a good stay, it felt a little overpriced, but we think that was due to New Years, surely it would be cheaper in summer or something.

the hostel is nice but they will kick you out at 10:30 when you check out, not kindly either. We even got yelled at for coming back in because our bags were there and we came to get some stuff and charge our phones before an overnight bus. Sad because it’s nice but not worth the attitude from the female reception especially.

It was a chill stay and amazing atmosphere.

Very well located hostel, very green nearby and options to eat and drink. Can be a bit noisy until 12pm because of the bars. Stuff was super unfriendly and bossy not warm at all.

Great atmosphere, specifically sitting outside. The location can be good or bad depending on your plans (its about a 20min walk to the other side of the bridge). There bathrooms are in the room which causes a little more noise. The only downside is how some of the beds are positioned, with other people's feet in your face potentially.

Schöne Lage und ordentliche Zimmer.

The location itself is stunning. The Island is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Lots of nature. A perfect spot to explore the city as you are in the middle of the river and can easily go to both the Buda and Pest side. Edith was very friendly and gave us suggestions for places to see. island hostel is an amazing hostel on the beautifal margeret island. its quiet, tranquil and very relaxing. Edith and her team make you feel at home. i will definetely visit again !! eddie from london

Nice Hostel, , friendly stuff and amazing terrace. The only one next to the Riverside. The Lockers are a bit annoying becouse they make a lot of noise when you pull them out from under the bed to open.

Not a single thing to complain about, amazing stay, amazing staff, amazing hygiene, amazing location.

Very confer table and friendly place with beautiful location

The staff is very friendly. The location is super. It's on an island in the middle of the river and it's very close to the city centre and all the touristic areas. The terrace is beautiful like you can have a coffee and breakfast there in the morning everyone is really friendly. It was a beautiful experience

Great hostel and really liked being in the island

Totally exceeded my expectations! I was allowed to check in early as my bed was ready. I was also given a towel on request! The island is super cool, it’s a trek from the airport, but worth every second! There’s a balcony which 3 rooms have access too. Luckily we left the door open to sleep, but we didn’t have any “bad” travellers to be worried about things being stolen! Awesome Property But Some Puzzles to reach the location Only Green taxi reach there for first time Goers/ If not it’s like a nightmare You need to walk all the way approximately 3 Kilometres

Rooms are a little bit small. And to get by the locker i had to keep moving the bed stairs. The locaties is fantastic. Also nice pub downstairs. If you dont want a party hostel this place is perfect.
