There were lizards and lizard poop on the bed, the water was cold starting at 4am there’s were really loud chicken. In addition the cabin didn’t have windows, and we didn’t feel really safe. We stayed in Cabin 8 and were informed that this one is the oldest. Being in the shower, everyone from outside could see you in the bathroom because there were no curtains and no windows. We were there in March and it was chill and wie had to ask for additional blankets because we were freezing

Dirty. Reached out to management a month after my visit, offered photos and was told thank you. I left with two more days prepaid.

I really like the atmosphere and location here & was excited to stay…until I saw bed bugs all over my assigned mattress. The staff was all very friendly / helpful in getting me set up elsewhere, and apparently “deep cleaned” the room the next day. There were 3 other people in that room who weren’t woken up or told about the bed bugs until the next day…it just felt like there should have been a bit more panic involved. almost hilariously dirty. every surface, from counter tops to shower faucet, was greasy. everything peeling, sandy, and/or broken. staff in the office were impersonal, and those on site had drama that they brought into the guest cabin. ultimately a highly regrettable expense: stay anywhere else and just take the bus up.

Hostel hat eine gute Lage jedoch lässt die Sauberkeit sehr zu wünschen übrig. Das Zimmer wurde in 5 Tagen nicht einmal geputzt. Sicherheit ist etwas fraglich, da man mit dem Schlüssel auch ein anderes Zimmer öffnen kann. Außerdem bin ich in einem anderen Zimmer untergekommen als ich gebucht hatte.

The cabins are very old, no air conditioning, and roasters will keep you up all throughout the night

great location. I loved that is was multiple small houses. It had camping vibe which was cool. unfortunately, our mini cottage could have been more clean. There's a grocery just around the corner so you can walk easily to the supermarket.

Could use cleaning and basic maintenance

We spent our first night in the dorms. It’s quite dirty, very small rooms with no assigned space for luggage. 2 other guests were there before us and had spread their luggage all over the place. There was nowhere to put ours. The bed in the dorm was very uncomfortable - so many springs poking out. The plugs to charge our phones where not conveniently placed at all. We asked to change to a private room, which was available last minute. Much cleaner, adequate space for luggage.

So amazing!! First time staying at a hostel and couldn’t be more pleased. The staff was incredible, hustle was kept very clean, and the location is amazing.

Loved this hostel. Was out of the city (Waikiki) and had the slow island life vibe. Was walkable to food, grocery store, Waimea Bay, Sharks Cove. Everyone was so nice and friendly and kind. If i ever come back to the island this will be where I go!! Only downfall is there isn’t much community space/sitting, but that’s OK! (Also the showers water pressure is AMAZING)

Everyone in the staff was friendly and cool, even left me an envelope with a key and smiley face for late check in. It’s peaceful and they maintain the spirit of the North Shore. We are lucky to stay in a place like this for this price. They have the kindness to not up charge to the same rates in the area. Good people.

This was a super chill hostel right next to the water. It was so cute felt like I was in a mini camping village. As a solo traveler it would have been nice if they had activities to meet the other travelers.

very nice staff and right across from the beach. commons rooms were slightly messy but it was nice to have lockers available and the cabins/rooms all locked.

fantastic place to stay! Was there for 3 days and 2 nights. the staff were lovely and always happy to answer questions or give suggestions on good spots around the North Shore. I stayed in Plantation Village and it was a lovely place to stay. The cabin was cool to stay in, very friendly community and the geckos were very willing to keep you company. Definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a chill and welcoming atmosphere!

The location is absolutely incredible. Directly across the street from the beach and right in the heart of the north shore this place is great. Basic cabins are all you need and the atmosphere is perfect

Is this the best hostel in the world ?

Good hostel. I stayed in a shared cabin, which has its own equipped kitchen and bathroom. They have little lockers; you must hope that the other guests always lock the door, otherwise everyone could just step in. Beach directly across the street, and Foodland (supermarket) and food trucks 3 minutes walk away. It's a little bit to Haleiwa but there's a bus going. It was easy to make connections to the other people in the cabin when hanging out in the open kitchen, but not to other guests.

Die Lage der absolut traumhaft!! Von der Unterkunft selber würde ich nicht zu viel erwarten, aber zum Übernachten ist es okay!

I stayed in the Plantation Village dorms for two nights. The staff were helpful with information. The people were great and the vibes were very laid back and positive. The bathroom could have been cleaner, but it was still a great value accomodation!

Had a decent stay at this hostel! You can check in after hours, which is great for flexibility, but it's definitely better to do it when someone’s around to help out. The signs outside are hard to spot at night, so it can be a bit tricky. The atmosphere was awesome, though—really cool people and a relaxed vibe. The shared bathroom could use some updating and was dirty, but at least the water was nice and hot! The location is unbeatable, just steps from the beach, though be warned, the water ...
