Noah Boutique Hostel Medellín

There were bedbugs the very first night in my bunk. I awoke to a pinch on my arm. I swatted it, and I felt blood splatter. I turned on the lights and took a picture to show the staff. I was moved to another room due to the great and attentive staff. They are the only reason I decided to overlook the incident. After my stay, I sent a message to the owner, Dave, un extranjero, who said the hostel had been closed for fumigation after the bedbug incident; apparently there were enough complaints to warrant the closure. However, I later discovered the hostel was not closed for fumigation and the owner was just placating me to possibly avoid a bad review.

There were bugs in my bed, and like bed bugs saw three in all 2 days I was there. I know it’s a Hostal but cleanness and health safety in beds should be a bit better.

Punaises de lit Propreté

Il y a malheureusement bel et bien des punaises de lit, ils recouvrent les matelas et lattes de plastique noir mais ça n’a aucune utilité … Je me suis retrouvée avec une trentaine de piqûres. Dommage le personnel est très gentil, et l’hostel bien situé

Si vous cherchez des punaises de lit, un matelat dur comme du bois et qu'on essaye de vous entuber, félicitations vous êtes au bon endroit !

I had to leave because of bed bugs. Wouldn’t recommend.

Muy mala experiencia. Suciedad, cucarachas, habían CHINCHES en las camas, quede toda picada, horrible y asquerosa experiencia. Estuve una noche y me fui en la mañana pidiendo la devolución de mi dinero. NO se hospeden aquí, las fotos que muestran no son fieles a la realidad.

Perfect hostel in the perfect location. I found bed bugs on my bed on my fourth night. I got a refund and they seemed to care so hopefully it’s getting sorted. Just check before you lay on the bed

Location is great, breakfast was nice and terrace is lovely. But there were bedbugs. On the first night I pulled the sheet off to have a look and the staff saw me doing this and interrogated me, kept on asking why I was looking and got very defensive. It made me feel uncomfortable then on the last night we saw bedbugs and the staff were not very helpful about it. My friend is covered in bites.

Bed bugs, unfortunately. Completely covered by bites. They showed up too late to do something about it sooner. Stayed here for 5 nights, got refund for 2 (haven’t paid my last night by that point, so refund just for 1 night). Didn’t even cover laundry service although they did laundry at their place for free, but I wanted to run everything through dryer twice since their dryer didn’t really seem hot enough. Location is great tho.

When we arrived, I saw a few bed bugs, both young and adult, so I took a photo and caught one with the sheet and showed it to the attendant. We immediately asked for a room change, they helped, but a day later, I had a lot of itchy bite marks on my legs. Five minutes of lying in bed was enough for the bugs.

Wouldn’t recommend this hostel. The staff are very nice, however the private rooms do not look like the pictures, the bedding is stained and not very clean and the twin room is humid, lacking TLC & windows and damp. We did find a bed bug, but strangely only one. Only three bathrooms for the whole hostel, which isn’t enough. Also lacking social space to relax except for the roof terrace. Also building work going on outside, can’t be helped but very loud in the mornings.

Bettwanzen im Doppelzimmer!

The private twin room has bed bugs. After finding them we looked back at reviews and saw that someone reported the same thing months ago, so the issue has clearly not been resolved. We had to pay £100 in laundry fees as we found one in our bag. Also, the twin room is much smaller than it looks on the photos, has one small window which actually looks out onto reception. be very aware of booking this place

The bathrooms and rooms were overall very unclean. I got a lot of bites during the last two nights, in “straight line-patterns” which very much resembles bed bugs (I’ve had them before, years ago). Did not find any actual bugs so don’t want to say 100% that this was the case, but I doubt it was mosquitos. The dorms don’t have locks on the doors so anyone could walk in. Uncomfortable beds. No “sleeping mattresses”, you sleep directly on the bed, you can feel the springs through it and it’s very just very hard and unpleasant. Basic things like a shelf to put your things on next to your bed was missing so you had to have your phone, book and other things in the bed.

!!! Be careful, private room full of bedbugs / punaises de lit / chinches !!! The hostel is not like as the pictures, it’s quite dirty even on the rooftop with sofa smelling very bad. The staff is friendly, probably trying to compensate the lake of cleanliness, they did not seem surprise at all about bedbugs
