Botanica Tulum

+ The breakfast was good.

- We booked 4 nights but had to check out early due to the fact that the bed was way too uncomfortable and we could not get any sleep. The mattress is put on top of concrete. Also the bathroom in the room has no door. We agreed with the owner Fernando that he would refund the 3 nights we did not spend there, but booking keeps telling us he declined the request on the platform, so I guess he is a liar and not an honest person. I would not recommend this place for your stay in Tulum.

+ Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

- The entire facility smells like sewer water, which was not pleasant. The restroom does not have a door, and there is minimal ventilation there. Parking is sparse so we had to message the management every day/night for a parking spot, which required them to move a staff vehicle on demand. It made us nervous to come home too late and come home without a spot. Also, walls are extremely thin- you can hear a pen drop. We found ourselves minimizing our time in the hotel- it was not a pleasant stay for many reasons.

- I’m sure I booked a room with “adjacent bathroom” but got one with shared bath (toilets and showers). Stalls have heavy metal doors the clanged loudly through the night as they were used. Rooms were spare and just adequate. Room doors were metal and made noise when closed; doors also did not block out noise nor light.Stairs were steep, smooth concrete, and there are no hand rails—dangerous, especially for elderly people (me). We had paid for 2 nights—we asked Fernando if we could check out early and get the second night refunded—he said to write customer service, explain the problem, and he would do so—I did and he did not!

+ The staff were friendly. The breakfast is really tasty. Funky room furnishings. Easy checkout process.

- It's more for people who enjoy hostal life. Small rooms. When we arrived, there was only 1 fresh towel in the room for 2 of us. We were told that laundry still had to be done so we should go out and when we come back it will be ready. There is no door for the bathroom. The next day our room was not cleaned and when we asked to have it cleaned we were told the cleaning person had left already. The location is a bit away from the beach(more than 30 min walking) and parking at the beach is crazy expensive.

- Le biciclette fornite sono proprio distrutte e difficili da utilizzare. Nella stanza c’era una perenne puzza di fogna fortissima proveniente dal bagno che, non avendo la porta, era impossibile da isolare. Letto scomodissimo.

+ Such a beautiful, magical place to stay in Tulum - it feels like entering your own private sanctuary. The staff were incredibly kind and engaged, always checking in to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Tulum.

+ Quel magnifique endroit !un havre de paix dans la petite ville de Tulum nous n’y avons fait qu’une nuit mais ont aurait pu y rester la semaine . Merci à toute l’équipe pour leur gentillesse.

+ Wat een heerlijke plek is Hotel Botanica Tulum! 🌿✨ Vanaf het moment dat we aankwamen voelden we de ontspannen, natuurlijke sfeer waar Tulum zo bekend om staat. Het hotel is prachtig ingericht met oog voor detail – groen, stijlvol en echt een oase van rust. De kamers zijn schoon, comfortabel en sfeervol, en het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze denken echt met je mee en doen er alles aan om je verblijf zo prettig mogelijk te maken. Ook de locatie is top: rustig gelegen, maar toch dicht bij alles wat je nodig hebt. Kortom: een perfecte plek om helemaal tot rust te komen en te genieten van Tulum. Wij zouden hier zeker nog eens terugkomen! 🌞

+ I stayed at Botånica in Tulum and it was simply an exceptional experience! Everything (truly everything ) contributes to creating a unique atmosphere: from the delicious, thoughtfully prepared breakfast to the sense of calm in the rooms, and the deeply relaxing, contemplative energy you can feel in every corner of the place. The pool, the lush garden, the bar, the café… every detail is designed to make you feel like you’re in a little paradise. And then there are the cats 🐾, which make everything even more special. It honestly felt like being in another world, outside of time. In the morning, there are also yoga classes, perfect for starting the day with a sense of calm and connection. Highly recommended for anyone looking not just for a place to stay, but for a true retreat for the heart and soul. 💛

+ Es war die schönste Unterkunft, die wir in Mexiko hatten!

- Einzig die Helligkeit im Zimmer. Durch die milchigen Glästüren war es sehr hell nachts.

+ Everything. It feels like a little paradise, the breakfast is amazing and the food & drinks are so tasty and healthy. I tried the kombucha and it was the best I ever had. So appreciated the design and the raw materials all over around. The huge kitchen and the all green around… I didn’t want to leave, yes Tulum but mostly this place. Hope to be back someday! 💕
