Awful experience. Private room FULL of cockroaches, dorm room with bedbugs! The owner did not care at all about this issue - he put some spray and said it’s solved. In terms of safety and location was ok.

Eins der schlimmsten Hostel in dem ich je in komplett Südostasien war … wir dachten uns einmal bisschen mehr ausgeben und dafür ein tolles Zweibettzimmer - es hat extrem gestunken - alles war klamm - der Pool im Rooftop war leer - Angestellten waren ok - also Preisleistung wirklich das schlechteste Hostel!

Hier werden Dinge versprochen die es nicht gibt. Pool ist leer, der rooftop sieht schon sehr veraltet aus, im Damen Schlafsaal keine Vorhänge vor den Betten. Für das 8er Zimmer gibt es nur 5 Schließfächer, davon sind 3 funktionsfähig, der Rest ist kaputt. Es gibt 3 Duschen für das ganze Hostel. Toilettenpapier gibt es auf Nachfrage. Sauberkeit war okay. Ich habe mich auf Yoga, Pool und Meer eingestellt, davon hatte ich das Meer…. Preis Leistung echt nicht fair!

We stayed in the private room and there was an odour of sewage and moth balls. The mattresses were so uncomfortable that we barely slept. The ceiling in the attached bathroom is mouldy, and the AC doesn’t work. The bathroom door does not close, and the pool doesn’t seem usable. The staff were very nice and helpful when we checked in, however, the odour in our room was intolerable and so we booked elsewhere for our second night in Mirissa. I would not recommend staying in the private room.

Beware, this property is nothing like the photos. The rooftop pool has long been empty, and the pool shown is actually elsewhere and requires payment. The rooms are unsettling, almost fit for a horror movie, with nearly everything broken. A noisy main road runs outside, and a nearby fish shop adds a foul smell. Best to stay away.

This place was a nightmare. There were bedbugs in the beds, even though the owner kept saying everything is “cleaned.” We had to sleep outside because it was impossible to stay inside. The owner was very rude and showed no respect. We only got money back for the next nights, but still had to pay the deposit and first night even though the room was uninhabitable. Avoid this hostel at all costs.

Place is not at all as it seems. It’s on a busy, loud main road and up several flights of stairs. We booked a private room and it was appalling. The whole room reeked of sewage, beds were some of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on. Bathroom filthy and old, covered in black mould. It’s what you’d expect to find in an Uruguayan prison. Pool was drained and dirty. There are cheaper hostel options closer to the beach, do yourself a favour and book one of those.

There’s no security so anybody can just walk into the rooms of guests. Which I’ve heard has happened. I was over charged. The owner thought I didn’t notice l, but I always track expenses while staying in properties where it’s pay at the end. As that is an unfortunate common trick with properties that do this. The AC in the room did not work, contrarily to what was stated in the description of the room; it was unbearably hot for 3 people sleep wing in such a small room - staff said they couldn’t do anything about it. Additionally, the bathroom smelled and it wasn’t clean. Mattresses were uncomfortable and sheets had stains and holes. The responsible staff was extremely eager and pushy to receive the payment from minute 1, and the lack of organization among them was noticeable.

Minha estadia foi pessima, eu fui enganada, na descrição da propriedade dizia que tinha cozinha e tinha piscina, cheguei lá a piscina estava vazia e não tinha opção de cozinha, o quarto não tinha uma cortina na janela, as 6 da manhã não era possível dormi com a claridade, eu deveria ter ficado 2 dias e passei apenas uma noite, são 4 lances de escada pra subir, eu estava com mala e tive que discutir pra conseguir ajuda pra subir a mala. Horrível, não recomendo

Malheureusement ne correspond pas dutout aux photos de l’annonce. Piscine vide, absence de rideaux sur les lits, lits différents, aération et pas climatisation, moisissure aux murs. Néanmoins, personnel adorable et emplacement parfait.

Stayed in the private room that was separate from the hostel, and was on the beach. Super nice, like a hotel and great value for money. Would recommend

We were staying in the 8 bed female dorm, it was a really nice stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and big, with a socket and storage dedicated to every bed. The upstairs terrace must have been really really cool at one point, now there was no water in the pool or ice bath bucket and the yoga place was a bit of a mess but nonetheless we really liked the stay and would recommend it!

It is a overall fine hostel, but not really much social going on. On Wednesday when the doctors house party where happening, there were a small gathering of people doing predrinks.

There’s a lot of false advertising for this hostel. The pool isn’t in use and we were told we couldn’t use the stove. The whole reason we booked here was so we could cook our own food. By kitchen, they meant fridge and water cooker. There’s no security at all and they kept the aircon at 23, we had to ask them to turn it down because it was so warm. The location was the best part.

Hostel ist okay, das Badezimmer war ziemlich schimmelig und der Abfluss stinkt. Betten sind hart. Für den Preis ist es okay aber es gibt viele Hostels die mehr für denselben Preis bieten. Das beste am Hostel ist die Dachterasse.

Great spot in a good location, right next to multiple banks, drink vendors , Cargills & many restaurants and shops. Multiple storey hostel with a rooftop and a big balcony, large windows in the 14 bed dorm, Ac and multiple fans. Really good hostel for its Price!

Yasi’s Surflodge felt like a family home. The owners and their daughter were often around, chatting and creating a warm vibe. Delicious coffee, a great breakfast, and attentive staff. Rooms were super clean daily. I enjoyed the surf package, calm instructor, peaceful beach, boards provided. The female dorm door creaked a bit, but the dorm had its own bathroom. I’d absolutely return 10/10!

Staff are so lovely, no matter what the bad review says. They are so helpful, so kind and so chatty. They have an amazing atmosphere in the hostel. I would 100% stay again

I really LOVED my stay there, the atmospere is amazing, chill but still a lot of social interaction. Breakfast what you get is just two slices of breat and zwei eggs with hoffe dir if you pay 300 more you get really good shashouka and family dinner and the other social activities are fun! Would def come back

Nice hostel, very social Only thing I would say is that I was staying right by the door and it was very loud when people would come in and out

Great spot for solo travellers, very social. The 14 bed room looks like the photos, very good beds. Facilitates are clean. Staff is great + Raj who I think will never leave.

Good place to stay for social atmosphere. We were on the top floor where the beds looked at lot worse kept than the other rooms. Door to our room scraped so loudly every time it was opened waking people up constantly in the night and morning. Lower bunk beds were quite high to jump up onto. The toilets and shower on our floor were not working and staff had to unblock daily. Staff were very helpful and there were lots of activities and things to do. Mirissa beach was a 5 min walk away.
