Zamia Hostel

ATTENTION! The Zamia Hostel has a huge problem with BEDBUGS!! I realized it too late when one of my roommates noticed the bedbugs on my bed (See pictures google review). I already had bites all over my body. Reported the problem, got a coffee and the laundry washed. Well with spending so much on medicine and having such a bad experience it was minimal consolation. When I asked for a refund my reservation was deleted so I can't enter a review so I had to contact the customer servic

The hostel is well located in a good area with lots or restaurant and bars. We were friendly welcomed at the place and the receptionist spoke very well English. Just when we got in to the room the disappointment was huge: The wall was coming off, there were shoe stains on the floor. It was just disgusting. When we addressed this to the owner of the hostel, as why the room looked so different then on the pictures online, he was very rude and said that we just didn't read the description online

Cut my arm with fan while I was taking off my shirt because it was too low. Not very comfortable as the bathroom was at a different level. The terrace is basically a roof with 2 plastic chairs.

Solid for a single nights stay. Door was kinda sketchy, since it didn’t close all the way until you pushed it really hard. There was a guy changing on the rooftop at some point, idk if he was staying or not.

In our case, the room was dirty and the bathroom had nails in the sink, we notified it and they told us that the room was about to be remodeled and that is why it was in that condition. But it is not our fault that they are going to remodel it, I understand that if we are paying for a room and private bathroom it is to receive it in other conditions, at least clean. I hope the same thing doesn't happen to another guest.

If plan to stay just a night its fine, otherwise look for something else. It's clean, safe and constantly super loud, so not a place to get a good night sleep

This hostel has a restaurant operating full time so there’s quite a few people hanging around at all times, can’t go wrong with a day while transiting though.

La modalidad del servicio es nueva para mi pero me parece interesante y razonable. hay cosas por mejorar y en la descripcion del servicio del portal deben ser mas claros, para tener una mejor idea de que esperar del lugar.

Un buen sitio para pasar la noche, el personal es muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar en lo que se necesite.

Le cadenas de mon casier a été ouvert pendant que j'étais sous la douche et une autre fois ma pochette contenant l'argent sortie de mon sac à l'intérieur du casier. Rien n'a disparu car il/elle n'a pas eu le temps je suppose. Ce lieu pourrait être top s'il n'y avait pas ce problème ainsi que la TV dans le salon entre les dortoirs, et cette télé allumée certains jours de 9 h à 21 h c'est assez horrible. Surtout que le dortoir est borgne et que la seule ouverture est la porte qui donne ...

Dans un quartier très agréable et commercant ; literie confortable et douche chaude, grande cuisine équipée. un effort à faire sur la déco du dortoir femme pour que ce soit un peu cosy et pas seulement fonctionnel. les espaces communs sont agréables avec de belles fresques. la grande terasse mériterait elle aussi des aménagements. je recommande ce lieu pour profiter de bucaramanga.

Estuve 2 noches en Bucaramanga vacacionando por Colombia. Encontré un lindo hostel ubicado en Cabecera una linda zona, su personal muy cordial como Scarlet y el compañero de Suiza. Cómodas instalaciones. Recomiendo

WONDERFUL place. The room was clean, I loved the rooftop to chill, and to get coffee from the region right next by. Scarlet and Veronica were super friendly and helpful. Bucaramanga surprised me. Next time I'll stay longer and try out the work with NGOs they offer. Notice for vegetarians/vegans: Right around the corner I found probably the best vegetarian food I had in Colombia.

Me gustó mucho la estancia, un lugar muy estratégico cerca de todos los Comercios, no nos pareció ruidoso a pesar de que estaban como en remodelación, gracias a Verónica y Jacob por su buena atención nos sentimos acogidas, también la cafetería de al lado tenía un muy rico café!

Decent dorms, clean bathrooms, comfortable social spaces. Staff were so kind and helpful.

This was my second time staying at Zamia, and once again, it didn’t disappointed. The location is excellent—close to everything you need—and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. While it wasn’t peak season, so the atmosphere was a bit quieter, I still managed to meet great people and make new friends. I’d definitely come back again!

Clean location with high security. Staff treated us well, we didnt know enough of buscargama but most everything was in close proximity. So it worked well for our needs,

Bery nice hostel in Bucaramanga. Staff not speaking English and if they wouldn’t have the American volunteer it could have been fun. My Spanish is basic so that’s my problem. Warm rooms with a fan for every bed. But the fan in use really keeps you awake so either be sweaty or. Don’t sleep that well. Amazing coffee shop connected to the hostel. WiFi was so so

I had bedbugs and the music from the bar vs hostel was quite annoying. There's a kitchen and terrace, could be 'upgrated' though

The dormitory was a little cramped for the six beds, but the other areas are extremely spacious And have very nice facilities. There are weights and other exercise equipment, a sun terrace, a desk, guitar and well equpped kitchen. Everything was very clean. There is an Ara supermarket nearby for groceries. I would stay again.
