The location of the hostel is great. The staff was also very kind and helpful. However, I was disappointed by the facilities such as the bathroom (outside the room, very small, not very clean, only 3 shower/stair).

The rooms available via the website is not the same as the rooms you will get, I requested a private room for 2 ppl, I got a dorme for 4 ppl - not sold as advertised.
Hemos estado muy bien a excepcion del sonido continuo de los aires acondicionados (supongo) de otros edificios. El zumbido constante hacia difícil descansar bien. El ventilador que teniamos en la habitación tambien era muy ruidoso. El precio también me ha parecido caro. El personal excelente y muy limpias todas las instalaciones.
We were very well except for the continuous sound of the air conditioners (I guess) from other buildings. The constant humming made it difficult to rest well. The fan we had in the room was also very noisy. The price also seemed expensive to me. The staff was excellent and all the facilities very clean.
Great location but the facilities were not good the weekend I spent here. The elevator was out, so I had to drag my bags up 4ish flights of stairs to reception and another flight to my room. They are doing construction on all the showers and toilets on my floor so I had to go up a flight to use the shower/toilet and the toilets were not clean. My room had a smell to it and the Wifi was out all weekend too.
Great reception staff with tips for the trip. Quite old and fatigued with uncomfortable bunks/tiny rooms (4 bunk mixed) and old fittings e.g toilets. Good location and quiet. Check out early (10am). Expensive!
Was expecting a young social experience but fellow residents seemed to be a variety of crashouts (at least 1 homeless) in their 40s at least. Room was baking at night (like 40 C) and staff said they had no control over heat. As you can imagine room smelled bad. Also the sheets were probably the most uncomfortable plasticy sheets I’ve ever felt. That said at least none of my stuff was stolen and the location was good. I’d recommend the homeless shelter over this.
Staff working nights was super nice Rooms were so small, and no room for stuff. The toilets were separate from the showers which was strange. Showers could have been cleaner. Sink in bathrooms was so small. Room smelled funny and whole building was so so hot. Location was incredible
Las camas no tienen cortinas para separar cada cama no había privacidad.Las habitaciones son muy chicas, la ventilación es nula. The bedrooms have no curtains to separate each bed there was no privacy.The rooms are very tiny, the ventilation is zero.The bathrooms are too small and let's not talk about the hand washing.I couldn't get my hands to wash, besides the bathrooms had a strong smell.The cleanliness was not enough.The facilities were fine.The elevator was fine.There were days when it was up and days when it wasn't.The staff was very friendly.Antonio was very friendly at all times!The location is good
The hostel itself and the team were nice and well located in the center of Soho :) Price was too expenseive for an hostel but this is expected for London... Only negative points : bad windows in the bedrooms. We hear the street noises all night and the curtains didnt close well either. But mostly good for all the rest, we had a correct stay !

The location was really good, very easy to walk to everywhere. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, felt like it was broken. There were only 2 showers and 2 toilets on each floor and the sinks were rather small…rubbish bin in the room hasn’t been emptied since we checked in, until we asked on our last night.
Tout est très petit... Les dortoirs, les toilettes, les salles de douche, la cuisine. Dans les chambres, il manque d'endroits pour déposer nos objets personnels, par exemple des tablettes ou des crochets. Les casiers qui se barrent restent un point fort. L'établissement est relativement propre. L'emplacement est super! Très central et parfait pour les gens qui aiment découvrir à la marche. Les employés sont très sympathiques.
Pour le prix, je suis très satisfaite ! Très bien placé Chambre de 4 lits pour rester au calme Les douches ne sont pas très pratiques car rien pour poser des affaires , uniquement des crochet pour accrocher des affaires. Mais c’est très spacieux donc ça compense. For the price, I am very satisfied ! Very well placed 4 bed room to stay calm The showers are not very convenient because nothing to put things down , only hooks to hang things up. But it is very spacious so it compensates. Toilets ok A sink in the bedroom, it is uncluttered but it can easily disturb the roommates. 4 pounds a day to keep my backpack after checking out Attention: bring back a lock, bath towel, shower gel
This was my first hostel so I do not have anything to compare it to. I did enjoy my time here. There were plenty of bathrooms and showers to choose from on each floor. I did not have to wait for one to be available ever. They were decently clean and everything was in working condition. The beds were extremely comfortable. I don't think I've ever slept in such a comfy bed in any accommodation. There is an elevator to the main reception floor, but had to walk up two additional flights to the bedro...

It was my first time ever in a UK hostel; and I was positively surprised: I stayed in a 4-bed (= 2 bunk) bed female dorm; and the atmosphere was great. All bunk mates (total strangers to each other, age range from early 20ies to late 50ies) got along well and were very considerate re each other's needs. Incredible location!! Lovely, welcoming staff! I really loved how it was the same price for a female only dorm as a mixed dorm, it made me feel so much more comfortable.
Had a really great stay at Astor Oxford Street 🙌 The location is unreal, literally in the middle of everything, so it’s super easy to get around. Staff were super friendly and chill, made the whole vibe really nice. WiFi was also solid, no issues at all. Also, I saw some reviews about the lift being under maintenance, but it’s working now. Overall, loved it, would 100% stay again 😊
Really great hostel, great vibes, the staff was always available and welcoming, the location is super central and great for visiting London. It had everything I needed for my stay, would definitely come back! Thanks a lot to the staff that really made the difference! One of the best hostels I have stayed at!

Astor hostel nails everything that matters. The location is central, the staff are genuinely helpful and friendly and the dorms are clean and well-equipped with proper storage and plenty of sockets. The common areas strike the perfect balance, social enough to meet people, relaxed enough to unwind. For the price and location, you simply can’t do better in London. Already planning my return trip.

Great stay at Astor Hostel! The facilities were excellent, with well-equipped kitchens, comfortable common areas, and secure storage. Everything was consistently clean, including the bathrooms and rooms, which were well maintained daily. You can tell they take hygiene seriously. Overall, a very comfortable and reliable place to stay.

Loved our stay here! Location was key for a quick trip to London and the facilities were super clean and well-kept. The staff were all so very nice and helpful! Honestly expected to hear noise of others coming and going throughout the night, but never heard a peep! Never had to wait for a shower or a bathroom. Would definitely come back on a future trip!
Unfortunately, no wifi and the general spaces were not so clean. However, the staff was super friendly. If you’re in a pinch, sure a night here won’t hurt, given its great location and price.
Overall worth it for the location. The showers aren’t ideal/were under reno while I was there. Super cleanly/willing to clean if dirty. Very very kind staff. Not super social. Beds aren’t great and are loud. It’s like well maintained bare bones that gets the job done but isn’t particularly enjoyable.
地理位置とてもよかった。地下鉄とか乗り換えも駅も近いですが、滞在中wiff を使えない、エレベーターも使えない日も多い！まだ階段がきつい、大きな荷物持つ人が大変かも、スタッフは態度はデカい、特に若い女性スタッフは親切ではない、想像した普通ホステルではない！
The geographical location was very good. the subway, transfer and station are close, but the wiff is not available during the stay, there are many days when the elevator is not available! the stairs are still tight, people with large luggage may be difficult, the staff is very rude, especially the young female staff is not friendly, not the usual hostel I imagined!
