BEWARE! Since there’s nothing in the area + drivers in the area don’t come there, they charge ridiculous pricing for motorbike (200k/day, usu 150) to food (160k/dinner, 80k usu) to transportation (500k to the airport is truly egregious). Sand and bugs in the bed. NO CURTAINS! Also the bathroom is located far from the beds so it’s horrible when raining. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Life’s a Beach is outside of the city, about 20 minutes drive away. Location wise, it’s lovely. I would recommend the hostel add curtains to the beds, especially given there are so many in one space, and also fix the curtain on the door so they close. The door is also extremely loud and stiff, so sleeping next to it means constant noise of people coming in/out, as well as light coming in. The lockers are also not big enough & I didn’t get a room key, so all my belongings were left out.

A great location, great staff and more beach than you can handle. If you're on a budget realise the only food and beverage options are in house and between 20-50% more than average street prices.

It's a really cool and social hostel while But it's hard to get to the beach and to get around in general If you don't have/ride a bike. And there's not much to do when the weather is bad.

This was a really beautiful place with a lovely bar and a social atmosphere. Family dinners were absolutely amazing and fun. Unfortunately, towards the end of my stay, there was an incident between 2 other guests where a guy verbally attacked a woman, leaving me and some other solo female travelers in the dorm feeling uncomfortable and unsafe during our last night. Despite being informed, the owner did nothing to resolve the situation unfortunately. Hope they will do better in the future.

the dorm is horrible (very shaky beds, too big etc) but the privates are cute

It was alright, if youre looking for great social atmosphere, this is not the place for a young backpacker. It is especially made for couples and ‘older’ people. The staff was helpfull tho and the location is absolutely beautiful. No curtains in the bedrooms tho

Location was quite isolated. Dooms lacked any privacy and the bathroom was a 20m walk away up a slope in wet and rainy conditions is anything but ideal. Unfortunately, also lacked any atmosphere or activities to create such.

We felt uncomfortable in room as you can hear people walking past, can see through the bamboo walls. Only a small lock for security. Our friend got his water bottle stolen from him from minutes of being here. He parked up outside the hostel, packed his scooter and water bottle hanging, went to pay for food, had to argue with locals before they gave it back. Staff tried to help book travel out but they booked us stools on a 11 hour train without confirming with us. Lost out on 1mill

Dorm room was very open with no curtains which is the first hostel I have seen like that, no privacy so be aware if that’s not your vibe. Social area is good with pool and table tennis table. My parter and I were put on separate bunk beds both on the top, despite staying longer than most people in the room so would of been nice to be in the same bunk as we were on the same booking so should really be together. Recommend staying if the weather is good as it’s a nice place to relax

Ich fand es hier echt super schön! Das Meer und der Strand sind traumhaft. Generell das ganze Ambiente ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Die Gruppenaktivitäten haben auch immer Spaß gemacht. Gleichzeitig konnte man sich aber auch ausklammern, wenn man nicht so sozial sein wollte. Mitarbeiter waren immer zuvorkommend und nett. Dieses Hostel kann ich jedem uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wenn ich mir eine Sache noch wünschen könnte wäre es eine Markierung für vegane Speisen auf der Speisekarte einz...

LOVE THIS PLACE! wish I could have stayed longer. The staff are awesome, the place has the most amazing view and basically private beach. It attracts great people, the atmosphere is the perfect amount of chill and social. It’s not a party hostel but you can get silly have some drinks, play games and meet lots of cool people. The family style dinner is a bonus lots of fresh food from the garden! One of my favourite hostels I’ve been to I will absolutely come back and recommended to friends!

One of the best hostels I've stayed at in Vietnam while on the spenny side you can't beat waking up and swimming on the private beach, the perfect blend of social without the party!

The place is amazing, mixed younger and older guests. Food is great and de familydinners It's recommanded to Join. City Quy Nhon is about 16 KM distance so you need transport to visit. But during 4 days stay we didn't miss the city at all. Rooms are any style, Dorm stay as well, Tents with aircon as well bungalows or appartment. All have (partly) seavieuw

A lovely hostel with a really nice team that make you feel at home right away! The family diner that the hostel offers in the evening is the perfect way to meet fellow travelers/backpackers. The location is also beautiful, secluded and peaceful. Would definitely recommend!

Great stay at Life’s a Beach. Lovely place&beach. the description when we booked is different to where we stayed, you can’t swim in sea and no water activities, as stated & very little area on the actual beach to chill, only rocks. The staff were lovely, however only seem accommodating at happy hour. cocktails & food is tasty, but bill adds up when you have to pay for breakfast lunch&dinner as nothing is around. i’m afraid that this is my first and probably will be my favourite hostel experience ever. what they have created here is SO COOL. plenty of time to explore or relax during the day and then the family dinners bring everyone together at night. it’s not a party hostel but has the perfect level of socialisation and fun games. So many of us extended our stay because of how great it is. The staff are also hilarious and so much fun!!! a beautiful place.

Really great atmosphere and nice and clean rooms with an awesome view! The Name and online pictures suggest the hostel to be on a beach. But it's just criffs and to go swimming you have to go by motorbike or Taxi. Grab is not working, because they dont come out there. But still I recommend the place because you can take tours from there. The staff is really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Party and game night :)

Cool place with a cool community! Unfortunately the beach was pretty rough when i was there and it is a bit far from the city but still an awesome place

Best hostel in Vietnam. I had a blast! Great food, stunning location, and fun atmosphere. They do family dinners every night, and then games afterwards. All so fun. I was worried that at this hostel, I was going to be lonely. As it’s a bit remote.. But it was like a fun beach summer camp. With the best views. It couldn’t have been more opposite than lonely. So many backpackers to converse with and really get to know. Such a great opportunity I highly, highly recommend this place !!!

Lovely stay! After some big city exploring, it was amazing to have a couple of days on the coast to relax. Staff and volunteers were the best and family dinner & BBQ were outstanding! The hostel is fairly isolated, and scooter rental is pricy, so this place is particularly good if you own a bike and want an idyllic, out of the way spot to stay! There’s a sweet little beach a 15 minute walk away, which I visited two days in a row. Dorms are basic, no curtains, but it wasn’t a huge issue!

Best hostel ever. Great location,food and even better staff… oh and the owner is unreal. I highly recommend. Will be coming back for sure

Awesome hostel right on the beach. Perfect for a little R&R. Staff and owner were really lovely and food and drinks were very nice and reasonably priced!!
