Whoopers Hostel Palolem

If I could give this hostel zero stars, I would. This place is unsafe, especially for girls, with an uncomfortable atmosphere and rude, arrogant staff. They dismiss concerns and treat guests horribly. The staff’s behavior makes it unbearable. Many guests, including my friends and me, checked out early because of the toxic environment. Don’t waste your money or time—this hostel is a disaster. Avoid it at all costs!

The hostel is completely dead throughout the day, no atmosphere. The staff completely uninterested. Only groups of people coming to party and make noise until 5 am - horrible experience

One staff-member were rude throughout our stay, didn’t answer questions or make any effort. Might have been a language barrier but still he didn’t act very nice. We had to ask for the remote to use the AC in our room, after all it didn’t work. There were ants and bugs inside and outside of the room (Bogota). Bed sheets didn’t smell cleaned and we found hair and sand in the bed after they said it had been changed. We got to change room which was very nice and other staff members were help...

Great location near the beach but dorms are very basic and small with no natural light so dark all day. The hostel itself was very quiet and empty. Bedding wasn’t clean and had issues with both the bathroom and dorm door closing.

Firstly the staff were unpleasant and didn't explain any of the logistics or necessities of my stay unless I asked the right questions which seems like they cant do their job. Secondly both nights of my stay my dorm was full of people who were anti social and talking until 6am in the morning which is rude and not acceptable. When mentioned to Divya and Abhishek they didn't even care about it. Thirdly there are no locker facilities or locks. Vibe is weird and not very social.

The property is not well maintained. Not worth the price I paid for. The staff was kind, however there needs to be a lot more professionalism and the cleanliness aspect of the hostel.

It's just a bit worn down, no hot water from the shower and a lot of noise from the dogs barking in the night (they go on for a few hours). Staff is nice but also rented me a scooter and the vendor gave me the wrong licence plate colour and I got stopped by the police because of that and needed to pay a fine. The staff helped me cover it and get it back from the vendor but it was just not a nice position to be placed in. Hopefully they won't go through with this vendor. The staff were nice.

Nice place to stay if you are passing by the area! Short walking distance from the beach

Overall weird. Somehow quiet but loud at the same time. Hostel seemed empty. Completely dead during the day but a small group (mostly staff) would be loud at night. One staff was nice / inclusive, another was rude & unhelpful. My advice to this hostel: plan more events that seem fun. If the 8am boat trip is to see dolphins, don’t market it as a boat party with shots. It’s 8am! Daily Yahtzee is also random. Would be nice if you could msg in the group chat to meet other guests.

Amazing vibe. Friendly and helpful. 3 minutes walk from beaches, fruit, etc. Kitchen is great. Kuldeep is awesome. All the caretakers are great. Best time in South goa.

A place to meet a lot of fun travellers. Music is loud and goes till 2am sometimes!

Tolles Hostel! Sehr gute Lage, super nette Mitarbeiter. Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet mit Vorhängen, Steckdosen und Lichtern. Palolem & Patnem Beach sind fußläufig erreichbar. Würde jederzeit wieder zurückkommen! :)

Reception was kind and helpfull. There hav to be a safe box !!! At at reception! İt was really difficult to cary cash and feel safe in 12 person form . İn front of my eyes after checking out a group the room service women did not changed anything!! Just RE shaped the blanket and pilow. No change of bed covers nothing! Highly dissapointed :(

An amazing hostel with such amazing host , Shoutout to you Divya , you're amazing. Guys do stay and experience the vibe of this place. It's a gem.

Good stay, very close to beach. Food is good and quickly served. Friendly helpful staff.

Happy to have stayed at Whoopers Hostel. Staff is very friendly, also serve great food here with a variety of options from Breakfast to dinner. Hostel has a bar, a ton of common space to hangout with fellow travelers. Location of this hostel is ideal as it is within 5 min of Palolim beach and market. A lot of bar options nearby as well. Grateful that i met some amazing people from all over the world. Taking a lot of memories with me from this trip. Thanks for making it a memorable one.
