One of the worst hostels I've ever stayed at, and I've logged 75 stays on the platform alone. Filthy, dingy, grim, defeating.

Dreckig und dafür viel zu teuer. Bettlaken mit Flecken drauf und auf dem Regal neben meinem Bett liegen Zahnseide und viele Krümel. Küche dreckig.. Bad dreckig..

Actually the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Don’t even know where to begin. Felt unsafe, sketchy people hanging out smoking by the entrance all the time. Rooms were not nice at all. Kitchen was disgusting, and barely room to sit down and eat. Barely no places to sit down in the whole hostel so we just did things in the city all the time cause we couldn’t stand being at the hostel. They did all the cleaning during the busiest times and woke everyone up with the vacuumer at 10…

Bad bad hostel. Long terms guests take over the room with luggage and kitchen equipment all over the bedroom floor. The rooms, kitchens and bathrooms are filthy. It feels unsafe , outside the hostel there were people throwing rubbish around, being loud and rowdy, smoking w**d and having no respect for other guests entering. Had to move rooms as I was in with people who made me very uncomfortable. I’ve been travelling, staying in hostels for 5 months and have I never experienced something so ba...

Worst experience of my life. I knew it wasnt a good place but its worst than I imagine. The location is good but they leave the door open so a lot of people from street come inside. The bed was dirty and i tried to change and they said it was fine. The room smelled bad, no lockers available, all full, kitchen crowed, bathroom was more or less.. not good for even a night only.

Very bad experience Had money stolen from me Staff were not empathetic Did not allow me to cancel the booking after the theft was reported to Police

I got to the hostal late due to a flight delay and kept calling the numbers and noobe picked up, then an staff member told me that i should have the instructions to get the keys from the lock on my email but I never got it, and despite the fact there was staff atill working and I was there in the middle of the night they did not help me at all. I sent an email with all the details and it was not responded either and they still charge me for the room.

Very dissappointed in this place. booked for 2 beds, we got our keys and went to the room and there was only one bed left available there. Receptionist was full of attitude when we asked about it. She got us into a different room that was full of drunk men in their mid 20s. We were both 18(f). One of them was urinating in the room. Awesome staff, really helpful when I accidentally locked myself out and great with being accommodating for last minute stay extensions!

Everything was very clean (room, kitchen and bathroom) comfortable rooms, and friendly staff, very convenient if you arrive from the airport, it has a very good location

J’ai passé un excellent séjour au Metro Backpacker Adventures Hostel ! L’emplacement est parfait, très bien situé pour visiter la ville et accéder facilement aux transports, restaurants et activités. L’ambiance dans l’auberge est vraiment conviviale et chaleureuse, idéale pour rencontrer d’autres voyageurs. Le personnel est accueillant et l’atmosphère générale donne envie de rester plus longtemps. 10/10, je recommande sans hésiter !

Good spot right downtown, I didn’t like how there weren’t windows in the room but other than that, it was good! Good bathrooms

Good stay for one night in this Hostel. The commun areas are realy good and not top small. It was a good Hostel for one night

I had a strange experience at this hostel. For some reason, the staff decided to clean the bathroom in the dorm way past 10pm. It kept me awake and gave the dorm a strong smell of chlorine.

Cheap and not particularly good, you get what you pay for. Not the cleanest facilities, but privacy curtains for bottom bunk beds. Staff is very nice and helpful, however it seems that new staff give out incorrect information at times.

Loved the fact that it is the Centre of Auckland, close to the bus depot, convenient location. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I stayed in 2 different rooms. The 1st was a 10 bed mixed dorm which was disappointing and didnt bear any resemblance to pictures on the booking site. Lockers were small-medium and had to provide own padlock. It was next to the kitchen where people stayed up being loud to the small hours. The 2nd was a 8 bed womens dorm, much neater, smaller lockers but looked like a key given if requested. Staff were initially frazzled and a bit defensive but got better. At the price was what I expected.

Good value for money, great location, just my friend had a bag stolen from the bag storage area next to reception, so security side of things needs to have a bit of a rethink.

Ok hostel. Our room had one set of working plugs for 6 people. The other two plugs in the room didn’t work.

Great location, literally opposite the Sky Tower. Feels secure here. Great value and has everything you need for a hostel stay. My son and daughter have practically stayed at the metro adventurer backpackers hostel on and off for a year so my husband and I have come out from the UK to join them for Christmas. This is our second stay here as we travel around New Zealand.

Female Dorm of 6 did not have enougg space for keeping louggage. lockers were ver narrow, so everybody's stuff was spread around making it hard get to your own things. Bed was uncomfortable, I could feel the mattress spings.

Decent for the price point

good value hostel--not especially clean throughout but a great location and good price ultimately makes it a place to recommend
