This hostel canceled my booking a week before i was supposed to stay there when i had made the booking MONTHS before. They only offered to refund me my money which is the absolute bare minimum. Awful awful awful

The room was dirty, there were contact lenses beside one of the beds and hairs in another one. We decided to look for alternative accommodation but the staff were friendly and helpful and our money was refunded apart from the deposit.

It was cold in the room and the service was left to their own devices.

The room is super small, they don't have towels.
Nécessite une rénovation des sanitaires +++. Porte-savon cassés, joints des salles de bain sales, étagères dans salle de bain sales et abîmées +++. Pas de crochet porte-vetement dans les toilettes. Pas de cuisine commune. Oreillers de mauvaise qualité. Par contre, litterie douce et propre, personnels de chambre très sympathiques.
Needs a renovation of the toilets +++. broken soap dryer, seals of the bathrooms sold, shelves in bathroom sold and damaged +++. no crochet cover-up in the toilets. no common kitchen. low quality pillows. on the contrary, soft and clean litter, very friendly room staff.
Das Hostel ist gross und die Atmosphäre zwischen Reisenden und Personal distanziert und kalt. Obwohl so viele Gäste da waren, habe ich niemanden getroffen. Das Zimmer war sehr eng und es hat nach Schweiss gestunken. Unser Zimmer hatte ein Fenster zum Platz, welcher in der Nacht seeehr laut war. Zudem gibt es keinen Vorhang und von aussen kann man alles im Zimmer beobachten. Die WCs waren extrem dreckig. Es gab keine Seife auf der Toilette und kein Papier. Im Treppenhaus stank es nach S*******...
The hostel is gross and the atmosphere between travelers and staff is distant and cold. although there were so many guests there, I didn't meet anyone. the room was very tight and it smelled of Schweiss. our room had a window to the Platz, which was very loud at night. there is also no curtain and from the outside you can observe everything in the room. the toilets were extremely dirty. there was no soap on the toilet and no paper. in the stairhouse it smelled of S*******!!
I don't recommend! Probably once a nice hostel (or has potential) but they are not keeping it well.. Access for outsiders to main areas on all the floors, locks to dorms were broken (did function though), didnt feel safe in the area as a solo traveler. Washingmachine smelled bad, (bath)rooms weren't clean and you had to pay for a not functioning lockerroom (and staff didnt want to change €5 for coins, weren't friendly/helpful at all). No events or social vibe either. Only pro was the location....
This hostel is not social at all. No common area and kitchen and the curtains in the room are good for privacy but make it hard to make contact with other travellers. Also the bathrooms were a bit dirty

I chose Central Hostel first and foremost for the location, which was truly great. Just by that alone I think it was worth the price. The staff was also superfriendly. The accomodation was a little claustrophobic as you sleep in wooden "tubes", but the bed very comfortable. The cleanliness was overall okay, but the bathrooms and showers could use some renovation. No kitchen but there was a microwave in the bar and they could store stuff in the fridge there for you. So, all in all priceworthy!
Rooms were great. Staff very helpful.

Staff were lovely and friendly. Lady at the desk asked me about my travels and was really helpful when I went to my room and found someone sleeping in my bed. Issue was resolved and I was given a new bed. Compared to the other hostels I stayed at staff here were very friendly and I would definitely stay there again.
La ubicación es perfecta y las habitaciones son bastante limpias. Sin embargo, el no tener cocina y que la gente del exterior pueda entrar al hostal cuando quiera hace que se pierda la esencia de un hostal de toda la vida. Si viajas solo, para mi personalmente no es el lugar idóneo, sobre todo porque la gente va a su bola y no parecía muy dispuesta a conocer gente.
The location is perfect and the rooms are quite clean. however, the lack of a kitchen and the fact that people from outside can enter the hostel whenever they want makes one lose the essence of a lifelong hostel. if you travel solo, for me personally it is not the ideal place, especially because people go to their ball and didn't seem very willing to meet people.

Great hostel
Multiple issues with water (showers, sinks, toilets) being broken, but otherwise a great stay. Room was comfortable, but be aware that walking areas are tight. Nice space in bed and storage.
PROS: - The location is brilliant, right in the heart of the city. - Breakfast was satisfactory. - Quiet. - Big bed with privacy curtain. - Wi-fi. CONS: - Anyone could access the upper floors of the hostel, which made me doubt its security for a bit. - There was an overall smell of sewage in the building, which was not very present. - Bathrooms could do with a makeover and a more regular cleaning schedule.
Overall, I enjoyed this hostel in terms of location and staff. Valentin was wonderful and super helpful upon checkin. The security at this location is not good though, as homeless people were welcome to sleep in the lobby. Important to note that the age demographic for this hostel is pretty old. Everyone in our room was over 50 years old so if you are looking for a younger atmosphere you won't find it here. Would be nice to be in a room with people our age.

Merci à la bienveillance et professionnalisme de Lucas et Maria La brésilienne. Vous avez été très généreux et à l’écoute de nos plaintes et demandes. Le manager n’est pas vraiment dans l’écoute. Et l’autre femme qui venir me parler dans la chambre me prenais de haut, mais pour qui tu te prends ? Parler avec respect aux clients c’est la base. Même si je m’étais disputé avec ma collègue de chambre, cette manière de parler avec arrogance et hautaine qu’elle était, ...
Thank you to the kindness and professionalism of Lucas and Maria The Brazilian. You were very generous and listened to our complaints and requests. The manager is not really listening. And the other woman who came to talk to me in the room looked down on me, but who do you think you are? Talking respectfully to customers is the basis. Even though I had a fight with my roommate, this way of talking with arrogance and arrogance that she was, I didn't like it.
Fantastic clean and fresh hostel in Bordeaux, would recommend to stay here. The bed pods are an excellent design and are really clean and fresh. The staff were really kind and helpful during my stay.
Right in the centre, but didn’t feel safe in terms of the people hanging around outside. Staff were really lovely and helpful!! Bathrooms were grossss and smell like pee and the whole place smelt bad idk if they have an issue with pipes or something at the moment but it was bad. Comfy and clean bedrooms!
Hostel tres bien situé au centre ville de Bordeaux. La chambre double au 4eme étage est magnifique avec des très jolies vues sur la cathédrale. Personnel très amable. Attention juste à la sécurité au niveau de la place car souvent des sans abris parfois malintentionnées

Another excellent stay at Central! The beds are super comfortable and private with decent lockers. No complaints whatsoever. Staff and atmosphere were on point. Definitely would recommend! Excellent value for money considering the location.
This was a great spot for a couple of nights in Bordeaux! It was walkable to a number of areas and easy to find. My only recommendation is that the bathroom and showers get a deep clean and the lighting fixed. On the floor where I stayed, only 1 of the 2 shower rooms had lights that stayed on and even then it was just 1 small light on the other side of the room from the shower head. But the bed was comfortable and storage for luggage was spacious.
