Living Lounge Hostel

Stayed two nights, on the 2nd night my 8 bed dorm was seven men and one girl (me). I felt uncomfortable with the men so I let the front desk know about it. At first they said I could only be moved if “something happened”… It took some back and forth but after an hour the front desk moved me to a separate room. I appreciated it but the situation was weird. It’s fine if you just need a place to sleep but I would NOT recommend this place as a female solo traveler.

The hostel is terrible. People smoking weird drugs in bunk beds wearing spedos. People snoring until 7 am no sleep. No vibes. Stay somewhere wlse. In a hotel

El personal no es amable, el lugar es más un hotel que un hostel. El día que llegué era de noche y fue difícil encontrar la puerta ya que no hay ningún tipo de iluminación. Tiene una excelente ubicación pero no volvería a quedarme ahí

el desayuno mediocre, la limpieza también, la ubicación era muuy buena. En el hostel había gente joven como más vieja, pero nunca hubo un ambiente tan amistoso. Las camas y las piezas eran un poco antiguas y con olor al igual que los baños

Good location, a shared kitchen and breakfast was okay (cereales, crepès, bread, cheese, coffee, tea, soyamilk, ...) what we didnt like were the really old and saggy mattresses. + you could see that the place was kinda aged

Receptionists were friendly, though there’s normally just one at a time so there’s normally a line to talk to one or get checked in. Facilities need to be renovated - floors were creaky and beds were uncomfortable.

Overall a decent hostel. Nicely decorated rooms (I stayed in a single) and good free breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. The hostel is conveniently located on a very safe street. 24 hour check in was really useful. The hostel was quite noisy some nights, even in a single room on the third floor I could still hear noise from the ground floor common room, but this didn't usually go on much past midnight. Super hostel, par contre les couloirs sont un peu bruyants la nuit.

Very helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast, clean and plentiful bathrooms, great air quality. Security at the front door is dependent upon the person coming and going to make sure the door is closed. Although there seemed to be around the clock staff at the front desk.

Wonderful stay, staff is great, place is clean, close to everything and steps from the main metro.

I had a great stay here! The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, and the hostel was generally quite. The location is also super close to a metro station and walking distance to a number of tourist spots.

Great hostel, very nice people. Amazing location! However: 1) Breakfast is at 8:30, which is rather late. 2) It can be loud. You can hear the streets and your neighbors.

Very nice hostel. Location is unbeatable, it is very clean, staff is great and people are nice. On top there is fresh breakfast every morning, made by this legendary Portuguese lady. Also there were a lot of activities which you could join via the hostel (i.e. pubcrawl, tours), of which a small part was being actually hosted within the hostel. Would definitely recommend.

Highly recommend!! Amazing hostel. Incredible location (near the metro, waterfront, and Lisbon sights). A quality free breakfast is included, there are multiple comfortable and well-decorated common areas, the facilities are clean, the staff are super friendly, and the dorms are great. Truly a wonderful hostel—I’d recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.

Enjoyed staying at the Living Lounge. Easy to find and a few steps from the Metro. The breakfasts were amazing!

Great place for solo traveler

Great hostel! I’ve stayed during their slow season which allowed me to have an 8-bunk dorm for the majority of my stay. Awesome facilities but not really a social hostel (as expected when coming during their slow season). Location is very close to the center and everything is of walking distance.

The best hostel I have stayed in so far. It is right out of the metro station. Most of the things were just in walkable distance for me. The staff were very nice and professional. The reception is open 24/7. We came in early and we could keep our luggages there while we roamed around and came back for check in later. They had free breakfast included with th stay. It was simple yet filling with lots of options. The rooms and bathrooms very clean and tidy.

I had a great stay at Living Lounge Hostel. The place is clean, and the staff are very kind. Thanks also for the breakfast (served at 8:30 don’t be late ;) ). I was alone in the room for a few days because it was the off-season at the end of the year. On my last day, some guests arrived and they were very friendly too. Obrigado 🙏🏻

This was one of my favorite travel experiences. I stayed during the last week before Christmas and I’m sure that was part of it. It wasn’t at all crowded and the few guests were mainly women over 30, so we bonded quickly. Valter and Neno(?), who did the wine and tapas event were standouts, super helpful and informative but all the staff were very nice and helpful. The only drawback for older people like me is the stairs- mostly without rails however staff was good about carrying bags.

Very good hostel, specially the staff, they are all super nice!! Very clean, nice decorations, good location. Not the most social hostel I’ve been to, but the hang out areas are nice on top of complimentary breakfast.

Excellent hostel. Has it all. Well located, nice atmosphere, clean facilities. I'd definitely come back.
