Cenário Catita Hostel

This is a reasonably priced hostel located relatively close to Lisbon's central attractions (a 20-minute walk or a bus ride). The neighborhood is pleasant and cozy, with beautiful buildings, and some rooms have river views. The room was modest but had everything you need except cutlery—although there was a kettle and cups, there weren't even teaspoons or a knife, so it was impossible to buy breakfast in advance when we had to get up early. Unlike other hostels, you can't use the kitchen here (there is one, but only for staff). You also can't leave your luggage here if you have a late flight; after a certain time, they charge an extra fee. The bathroom has a very strong sewer smell. But the main drawback is the bedbugs in the room; we were all bitten to the point of developing an allergic reaction, and my friend brought them home with her and had to call an exterminator. I'd heard this is common in Lisbon, but the room looked clean, and we didn't immediately realize it was bedbugs.

Ausblick Leider alles sehr unhygienisch und schimmelick. Außerdem war das Bett von Bettwanzen befallen und ich bin total gebissen worden. Auf jeden Fall keine Weiterempfehlung.

Bed bugs, staff, insects, dirt

Nada Durante a noite, após abrir a janela, fui severamente picado(a) por insetos. Ao acordar, encontrei múltiplas marcas vermelhas e dolorosas em várias partes do corpo (braços, costas, pernas), compatíveis com picadas de percevejos (bed bugs).

The location and low price We stayed at this hotel on 31th of July attracted by its affordable price. However, the experience was far from pleasant. Upon entering our room, we immediately noticed a strange odor (common toilets included), and the overall vibe of the hotel matched the low cost- certainly not welcoming. The worst part of our stay was discovering bed bugs in our room around midnight, just before we were about to go to sleep. This was incredibly distressing. We reported this to the front desk, and while they did offer us a different room, it didn't erase the unpleasant experience. The following morning, we requested a refund for our entire stay, given the severe inconvenience and distress caused. Shockingly, the hotel refused to refund us, arguing that the alternate room provided was compensation enough. This response felt very unfair and unprofessional. I would rather recommend to spend a bit more elsewhere for a more comfortable and bug-free stay.

Había CHINCHES en la habitación. La primera noche desperté con 3 picaduras, al día siguiente con otras 6 o 7. Finalmente, hemos visto una chinche en la habitación y hasta se han pegado a nuestro equipaje en la ropa. Una vergüenza. Se avisó al hostel de mis picaduras y dijeron que deberían ser mosquitos. No obstante, las chinches encontradas son de gran tamaño. Solicitamos un reembolso del importe gastado y una indemnización por los daños causasos (deterioro del equipaje y desinfección de todas nuestras pertenencias y hasta haber tenido que tirar algunas de ellas) y que sea comunicado todo esto al hostal. Infección de chinches que han pifiado nuestro viaje.
