Rooms Koktobe

We arrive 9 pm, the outer door was closed and nobody was there to open it. The phone number written on the door didn’t exist. Finally we got in. There were no electricity. We were shown around by a really confused lady. The visitors on the hostel violated the rules, people were sleeping around in couches, and people were talking in telephones at night. The next morning, electricity was still off. No hot water. The fridges in the kitchen are disgusting!

It's just not dirty but filthy as f*ck. Bathrooms, toilets, and kitchens don't seem to be cleaned every day or not even every three days. There are some unfriendly and obnoxious long-term renters there.

Personnel adorable et parle anglais ! Chambre pas super belle et simple, ma lumière individuelle ne fonctionnait pas et je n’avais pas de prise électrique au niveau de mon lit. La douche était salle. Mais il y a beaucoup d’espaces communs : des gros canapés très confortables, des salles pour faire du sport, travailler, une énorme cuisine équipée (mais matériel pas très propre… faute aux clients pas au personnel), beaucoup de machines à laver, petit magasin à 10 secondes : prat...

The hostel has a really bad location probably like 30 min with the bus to the centre. Moreover its super dirty and it feels like that it has not been cleaned for ages. On the other hand the stuff is polite and the atmosphere was great, at my stay only locals Russians and indians. it feels kinda safe but every door is open thoug but for that you have lockers. Next time i would defenetly check out the otherother hostels

The staff are friendly. But this place is very remote. The lobby is clean, but the rooms and beds are bad. I really want to escape from here. I’ve stayed in 23 hostels across 12 countries (mostly in Europe), and I think this place deserves only about a 6.3/10.

In fairness it's not even a hostel,it's just some Hostel for people who work in Kazakhstan( foreigners) as far as I understood.The dirtiest and most extreme accommodation at all I've seen, in fifty years. Just a room full of teenagers listening to music. 24/7,And screaming non-stop,i asked them to be Quiet but got an aggressive response.There's hair everywhere in the shower, some broken crockery,And rubbish on the floor. There's no toilet paper or soap in the toilet. I just left before check-out

My favorite hostel in Almaty, location might no be very promising but everything else is exeptional. Hostel is very spacious with huge fully equipped kitchen, co-working places and common areas.

Fine place to stay! Cosy atmosphere. You do have to walk some time to the city centre or take a bus (a lot of buses just at 5' walk)

Lots of long stay residents, hard to meet other backpackers but the staff were lovely and welcoming and there is a big kitchen to cook in.

This time, hostel wasn't very organized or clean. The bathroom was messy. The room in the ground floor, had 3 story beds, and the height was so short, I keep banging my head to the upper bunk.

I really liked my stay here, it was a bit dirty and didn't really have a central social area. it was more of a long term resident shared flat vibe and I managed to make some good friends anyway. overall great value, peaceful and pretty well situated if you want to walk in to town or get the bus

Room Hostel Koktobe is a clean, modern, and comfortable place to stay in Almaty. The location is peaceful with beautiful mountain views, and the common areas are spacious and well-designed. The staff are very friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome right away. Great value for money and perfect for both relaxing and meeting other travelers.

Nice hostel

J'ai passé un excellent séjour à Room Hostel ! L'endroit est spacieux et très confortable, parfait pour se détendre après une longue journée. L'atmosphère est chaleureuse et accueillante, et tout est bien entretenu. Je recommande vivement cet endroit pour un séjour agréable à Almaty !

It's good for the price but has some minor flaws. Most of the guests are locals living there, mainly in the biggest dorm. Didn't have any issues with that though. A lot mosquitos in the room as the window wouldn't close completely, again not the biggest problem. Big kitchen, quiet neighbourhood, small grocery store next door.

The lady in the reception is very accommodating and very friendly. location is not in the center, but buses are available in short walking distance. market is available within the premises.

Amazing hostel, especially for the price. Not central in Almaty, but it is not too far of a walk to Central Park and access to buses and cheap Yandex taxis. The staff is very kind and the facilities are quite comfortable. Not a very social hostel, but if you are aware of that, it is a fantastic stay! Also a super convenient and well priced market for everything you may need. Extended my stay for a whole week.

I really liked my stay in this hostel. Quiet, relaxing and friendly enviroment. Staff very kind and helpful. There are many common spaces in the basament floor where you can chill/work/make yoga/pray etc. Big kitchen. Only negative point the position

Excellent service from the kind administrator named Rima. The neighbors are welcoming, particularly a guest named Munahi from Saudi Arabia who is always helpful. The space is spacious and cozy, making it easy to feel at home. Highly recommended!

it is a good hostel... the sharing dorms have just a few beds each, the shower is hot! the atmosphere is good as well. the location is the only down point!

The best price-quality ratio!😊 Very kind and helpful employees! They helped quickly and clearly if they suggested anything on the ground 🔥 The hostel is cozy, bright, clean. Women's and men's rooms are separate. The beds have practical curtains! The water is hot, the internet is fast, the kitchen is spacious with a large refrigerator and tables and a lot of different kitchen appliances! The hostel is located in a quiet residential area, with everything nearby 🌺
