El peor hostel de todo sri lanka. Las habitaciones llenas de telarañas, un solo baño para todo el hostel y muy sucio. No hay absolutamente nadie. Y a la mañana siguiente nos despertamos con uno de los trabajadores durmiendo en el suelo en la entrada. No lo recomendamos para nada

Vi startede med at betale 20.000 Rupees for 2 personer, 2 nætter. Vi sov på værelse med en der havde betalt 6000 rupees for 2 nætter. Alt for overpriced ift. de faciliteter man fik. 1 toilet og bad indenfor, 2 udenfor - det ene virkede ikke og det andet kunne døren ikke lukkes. Samt 2 udendørsbruser, men du skal have bikini på. For folk kigger fra deres terrasser. Man kunne ikke have tasker på værelset, de var låst i skabe ude ved receptionen. Billederne snyder ift. hvordan det ser ...

Hele vieze badkamer en de bedden zijn ook gedateerd

Strange hostel, odd atmosphere. Group of guys always hanging out/sleeping there. Wouldn’t have stayed if I’d been on my own. Beds large and comfortable and AC works, but that is the only good point! Lockers didn’t work, rooms tiny, no mosquito nets, no lock on the rooms. One indoor bathroom, which was really dirty, and then outside showers. Indoor bathroom has a glass window which looks directly on to the shower.

Wir waren in einem 6er Zimmer untergebracht. Es war sehr klein und bis auf dem Bett kein Platz zum Aufhalten. Dafür gab es draußen eine schöne Sitzarea mit Billiardtisch und Musik. Auch die Lage war top, weil man innerhalb von 5 Minuten beim Hiriketiya und Dickwella Beach ist. Leider ist das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis sehr schlecht. 1 Nacht für 17€ ohne ein richtiges Badezimmer. Außenduschen und eine Küche sind vorhanden, aber es ist alles ein wenig lieblos zurückgelassen und eingerich...

Nice location with a chilled atmosphere, but leaking of cleanliness, poor facilities (one indoor bathroom/shower for ~25 guests). Except that the host was very friendly we didn‘t feel really comfortable.

It’s quite expensive for what it is, water was out a couple of times ( which isn’t hostels fault) but when you’re paying nearly £12 a night it’s annoying. No clear direction on water filter taps, outdoor bathrooms didn’t lock. Not good organisation in terms of payment, was requested payment again after I had already paid and when buying amenities at the bar no structure so kept getting asked to pay again. Beds were super comfy and big though! Nice courtyard area to chill in

Es gibt nur eine Indoor-Dusche für das ganze Hostel. Ansonsten kann man in die Outdoorduschen von den umliegenden Häußern reinsehen. Es gibt also keine Privatsphäre. Die Küche und die Lounge außen sind recht alt aber in Ordnung. Als ich mittags ankam, konnte ich noch nicht einchecken. Die Betten und das Zimmer waren aber sehr sauber und bequem.

Would not recommend, it was a really strange vibe and a lot of strange men hanging around that I wasn’t really sure if they worked there or if they were guests. Felt very strange and unsocial. Also it was only one place in the room we could charge our phone so we had to share.

The place was ok - the location is quite good, but the bathroom not nice at all. Also there was just one inside and one more outside, so if you wanted to take a shower you probably need to wait!! Also it smelled bad:( For me, I was lucky that we just stayed one night and then moved. I had very nice hostels for the same price.

This property had lots of pros such as good chill out areas, lots of showers and spacious dorms with curtains, the only negative was the kitchen which wasnt functionable, with no gas and it didnt look very clean but other than that we had a great stay with it being so close to everything you would need along with the staff being very helpful!

Lovely hostel, friendly staff and good location. Nice and sociable and the beds were very comfy. Pool table was a big bonus

Absolutely loved that hostel and would go there again. The vibe is chill, there's only three rooms so the atmosphere is more intimate, which also means you get to know people very easily. Malinde, the owner, is such a sweetheart and helps you with everything. Als the location is pretty good and you get everywhere easily. Ended up staying there a week haha :)

Great Hostel. Simple rooms with fans and airdcondition, really big matrace and comfy beds. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, do organize scooter rental and private drivers really fast. You can play pool and drink beer, bring friends. Great vibe!

War gut, bisschen Chaotisch, aber super atmosphere und chill area, perfekte Lage, nettes Personal, nur ein Bad für alle, aber es war immer frei. küche zwar vorhanden, aber kochen ging nicht und kein wasser, musste im bad abspülen

There were ants in the indoor toilet/shower, room was small and dark, the outdoor shower had no door. It seemed that they had a party with their friends one night and someone slept on the sofa in the reception area. Vibes strange, wouldn't recommend for solo female travellers. Ash trays inside, smelt strong of smoke. WiFi didn't work.

Nice stay

Evoke was a great place to stay- it’s fairly new so don’t be put off by lack of reviews. The staff are great and the owner is great fun. The location is perfect!! It has everything you need and I’ve met some really cool people here. There’s one bathroom/ shower indoors but it’s always kept really clean throughout the day. More showers and toilets can be found outside. Im a solo female traveller and had a really nice stay, I ended up extending for four more nights. Recommend!

the place is nice ,outside it’s really pretty and the staff and the owner are really nice ,the rooms are not that clean ,and the bathroom it’s also not that clean … but it’s okay ,for the price (:

Overall a good social hostel with an easy going vibe. Although I do have to say, the bathrooms were absolutely gross

Basic hostel but does the job! The staff are super friendly and made my stay absolutely great. Also the boss mans cheese kottu is stunning 🤩 Would 100% recommend

Sehr nettes Personal und sehr gut gelegen.

really lovely staff. the place is very rudimental and there atmosphere is ok. if you need a location only for sleep it is perfect. otherwise another place is better for you

Als solo female reiziger zou ik een ander hostel uitzoeken. 1 van de mannen die er werkt komt wel erg dichtbij en geeft een nare vibe. Er is helaas maar 1 toilet en douche binnen. Je kunt buiten douchen maar dit is open en kan niet dicht oid. Ook deed het water het niet altijd om te douche. De locatie is wel goed, je bent vlak bij het strand

Had dit geboekt omdat de rest van de hostels vol waren. Dit hostel lag centraal en dichtbij hostels waar ik vrienden had. Ik zou het zeker niet opnieuw boeken, maar ik heb prima geslapen. Het hostel was erg basaal met matige voorzieningen. Verder vond ik het apart dat het personeel en mannelijke vrienden van de eigenaar 24/07 in de tuin zaten/sliepen. Het hostel organiseert geen activiteiten.

Hele vieze badkamer en de bedden zijn ook gedateerd

geweldig hostel! heel vriendelijk personeel die meerdere keren per dag de badkamer schoonmaken. de sfeer was echt top! hele leuke chill plek en perfect gelegen tussen de 2 stranden in. zeker een aanrader!!!
