Good view overlooking the ocean but overall wasn’t a fan of Casona. There’s a huge kitchen that the volunteers use to cook for themselves but somehow we’re supposed to get our meals elsewhere. It’s far from any tiendas which are all expensive in Lobitos. I was scolded one night for hanging out in the kitchen with the volunteers while they cooked and played music. I was the only guest in the hostel. I ended up moving to a different hostel and am very happy with the move. Wouldn’t come b...

+ the location has a nice view. the maintenance man was very active though, seemed to be fixing things.
- it wasn’t very clean, nor did you see anyone do cleaning. the staff were volunteers so they weren’t very knowledgeable, probably because they aren’t there very long. didn’t get sheets or towels when we switched rooms, didn’t even get a lock when we switched rooms. there wasn’t running water in our private showers, in both rooms, or even the public shower, even after they confirmed there’d be water. overall just felt like some of the staff didn’t have the tools to accommodate us. the breakfast is obsolete. overall a high price for what you get.

- Upon check-in we were asked to pay in USD$ or pay 3.5% more. This is very strange and unacceptable to ask for a fee for paying in local currency. Our room was super hear-through and it was hard to sleep, from 07:00 in the morning you could hear music drum from the reception. The kitchen utilities are in poor quality and once a knife fell apart for which I was asked to pay for. Kitchen and co-work are only free to use if you stay linger then 4 days. Otherwise you pay. That felt to us like visiting a tycoon park and having to pay for each ride... The room was marketed with bathtub, but it was only decoration and didn't function The breakfast was poor (little), (2 boiled eggs and bread), so make sure to bring your own. A staff entered our room 2 secondes after knocking, we were naked in bed and she never apologised for it. We felt passive aggressive manners from one staff by not serving us our breakfast to our table, but indicating the table we had to go and get it ourself, eventhough she served local people to their tables. This was very strange.

- Cobran su tarifa y no la que aparece en booking. (De igual manera ajustaron el precio a la noche que reservamos por la app). No había agua caliente, falta de presión en el agua de la ducha. Instalación del baño muy precaria. Desayuno café negro y pan, le falta amor.

La Casona is a 100 year old house but you can tell it is well taken care of. The staff and the volunteers put a lot of love into the house and really take care of the place. This place is on the highest point on a hill so you get amazing views of the beach and the town! Everyday has beautiful views of sunsets over the beach

Disfruté las actividades, pelis y paseo hacias Las Capullanas. Totalmente agradecida por la hospitalidad. Sin duda, un lugar al que volvería.
The house is beautiful, very clean and cozy, with a spectacular sea view from the top. the atmosphere is fresh and the location is perfect, with the beach in front and direct access by a staircase. the service was excellent, Fio and Mercedes always friendly and attentive. enjoyed the activities, the pelis and the walk to Las Capullanas. totally grateful for the hospitality. definitely, a place I would return to.

+ La hubicacion está cerca de restaurantes, con vista al Mar . Los anfitriones Fiorela y Yoshua son muy amables y te guían en todo lo que necesitas , con Mucha amabilidad 🥰,Un premio para los dos ❤️. Nos vamos muy felices y con el deseo de regresar 🇨🇭
