This isn't actually a hostel, it's a hostel-style room in a hotel. Specifically, it is four beds in a very small room with the bathroom inside--so feels like sleeping inside a bathroom. There was no way to lock items, and the provided towels were made of paper. After seeing the room I decided not to stay and the staff were kind enough to refund 2 out of 3 of the nights I booked. It could work for someone -- it is definitely very clean and new -- but it didn't work for me.

+ It's not the traditional type of youth hostel.,basically is hotel by renting out the bed as backpacker hostel. You hardly to meet other solo travellers , it's more to family and luxury travel. I was staying there 3 nights and I'm the only one in the 4 beds bedroom. There is no public area to meet others. Good things is near to walking street and subway.
- Basically good but it could be disappointed if you wanted to meet other traveller here.

+ Booking was easy and quick to respond ; price was the best value for money (payment in rmb on checkout). Location was really good but difficult to find; on the other hand it was safe and relatively quiet in a very busy quarter, perhaps the busiest, literally next door to Confucius temple with zillions of crowded souvenir shops and small restaurants or fast food outlets, also very close to the evening one hour cruise on river and canal (it also sails in daytime), so it was easy to get there and return to rest. There is a metro not far away, which is the quickest and best affordable way to get around since cars or taxis get stuck in dense traffic ; it was easy to get to the Ming City Wall at Zhonghua men castle-like city gate, and to experience bicycling on top of the wall for a few kilometers (the courageous can hike and bike it in one full day, best end of autumn and not in summer heat), and to Xinjiekou maze of large glitzy malls and street market. The hostel had A/C which was a lifesaver in summer stifling and humid heat, and a bathroom with a shower for the dorm room with 4 beds (which were curtained for privacy and better rest from light).
- I would have liked better directions ; phone contact for some reason did not get through so I had to go on the hunt to find the place ; plugs to recharge phones should be checked, they did not work for me ; breakfast option in the canteen on the small yard between buildings was not clear so I went to find breakfast outside. Wechat did not work well for me, so I had to use Alipay for everything including metro ticket/QR code payment and in some places like main train station, QR code machines did not work everywhere. Nanjing is a large provincial capital so it is almost impossible to take in main sights in one day. Despite the metro, there is a lot of walk to do, so beware of hikers rash & hives. Visiting the Nanjing Massacre Memorial hall takes the best part of a day but should be on the list, as much as the Sun Yatsen mausoleum or nearby sights (Meiling villa, Ming ruins). Because of the weather (lightning storm) I had to skip the latter part. Besides, it is a very crowded city and in the stifling summer heat, beware of heat stroke (metro, malls,and some restaurants have A/C to recover) : the hostel room had A/C but it was not very strong.

+ The reception staff are very nice, helpful and friendly. One member brought us to the Tourist Office to get a map in Chinese and English. Staff explained with some English and the translator, how to get by metro to our first sight, Xuanwu Lake. They gave us their card with the hotel's name and address in Chinese in case we got lost. Metro station Fuzimiao is near the hotel as well as Confucius Temple, the Imperial Exam Museum, Night Market, River boat cruise and the Wall. Shops and restaurants opened every night until late. We were given ample free water everyday and soft drinks in fridge were free. Washing machine and dryer were also free but we put our clothes in the machines and staff used their phones to turn them on. Breakfast is ordered by reception with you telling them on a form what you want. It is mostly Chinese food but is substantial as you can ask for more if you wish. However, you can ask for a sandwich with salad, meat and a fried egg. You can also ask for fruit, yoghurt, fruit juice, soya milk and coffee.
- No hooks to hang up hand and bath towels so they are changed every day.
+ Very comfortable, quiet, personal very helpful (help me to book the Nanjing massacre memorial). Amazing location and decoration The last night I even got an upgrade for a normal room because the hot water in my dorm was broken and they even transferred my belongings very properly and nicely arranged, to the new room (with my consent of course) I highly recommend it !

+ The breakfast is very good. The location is excellent. Rooms are very comfortable.
- A little hard to find the place and no clear big sign.
+ Spacious room, clean, comfortable, perfect location near the Confucius Temple and the metro but still quiet, great amenities, complimentary minibar.
- Very small comment - incorrect information was provided to me about the bar opening hours (it's 11am to 5pm) and the price of beer, but this didn't impact my stay all that much and staff took my advice to amend it for others

+ The garden, café, rooms, location, and staff were all amazing. In short, it was a wonderful experience. If I had more time, I would definitely have stayed longer, and I would absolutely consider visiting again.

+ 位置比较方便，住客晚上还能免费看演出，演出也很有意思，前台工作人员热情。

+ This is a charming property with tidy, well-appointed rooms. Staff accommodated my very late check-in and made sure I was comfortable and had some fresh fruits and tea after a long journey.
- There was absolutely nothing negative about my stay.
