Lisbon Lounge Hostel

It’s centric. There are bedbugs! I got an allergic reaction to their bites and ended up with a visit to doctor whole day long. They refunded my stay and paid for the doc visit&farmacy, washed all the clothes and placed me to another bed which also had bedbugs. That was the beginning of my trip, it ruined the Portugal experience for me. My body looks like a mine field, I still can’t sleep well at night afraid of having carried them around. Even though they compensated, there is no way to recover the health and emotional distress that it has caused. I suggest avoiding the risk.

Such a freindly place (staff, guests) - like 'home from home'! And they immediately addressed any minor problems very satisfactorally Bed bugs in one bed (I then moved)

Punaises de lit dans la chambre : à 5h du matin nous avons découvert des punaises de lits dans nos lits. Évidemment nous avons quitté l’établissement même s’il nous restait une 2e nuit à y passer. On espère ne pas en avoir ramené dans nos affaires à notre domicile … La dame de l accueil nous a confirmé que ce n’était pas la 1ere fois dans l établissement puisque la semaine précédente d autres clients avaient déjà eu des punaises de lits ! A fuir !

I loved the hostel, it's right smack in the very center, close to everything basically. It's a bit pricey but a guess that's fine for the location. The staff is very friendly and wants to help whenever you need aomething, anything. The rooms are great and spacious, shared bathrooms are large and they clean them every day. However, it does have its flaws but only one worth mentioning. The breakfast is terrible (no wonder it's free) it's almost always pancakes with a few jams and always the same terrible instant coffee. All my friends (3 of them) that were with me in the room (4 beds room) got some bite marks all over the body while we were there (one had almost a rash as there were so many of them) which look as they are from bed bugs. Can't say for certain that they are, but they might be so it should be mentioned. I was lucky enough not to get them for some reason.
